Aaron clicked his tongue and swatted her hand away.
“What’s the point of always asking that?”
“If I liked her more, would I be cheating on her with you? She’s my official girlfriend!”
Though Aaron’s tone was harsh, Mia was pleased to hear it.
“Is that so? But I heard that as soon as Nora got to the hospital today, you rushed right over to see her.”
Aaron grew more impatient. “Everyone knows Nora is my girlfriend. Am I supposed to pretend I don’t know she’s at the hospital?”
“Are you just trying to mess with me?”
As he spoke, Aaron reached for his clothes. “I’m going back to work.”
Mia stopped him from getting dressed, pressing her body against his.
“Alright, alright, I was just teasing you. You can’t take a joke!”
“I was just a little jealous, that’s all. You two have been together for so many years.”
“I don’t care. Aaron, you’re mine, and only mine. If I ever find out you’re just playing me or using me and your feelings aren’t real, I’ll rip your heart out. Do you hear me?”
Being a doctor, Aaron didn’t find her words strange. Instead, he smiled and agreed.
He grabbed her by the waist and pulled her onto his lap.
As he pressed her down, he whispered in her ear, “Don’t worry. I’m yours for life.”
“You, Mia, can only marry me.”
Mia loved his possessiveness. The two of them began devouring each other like animals. At first, the sports car remained still, but it soon gave way, beginning to shake erratically.
After they were finished, Aaron didn’t even have a moment to rest before his phone rang. It was a nurse from his department.
