The Captain I Married by Chance novel Chapter 465

How did the conversation suddenly pivot to Wedding Night Pranks?

Nora cast a guilty, sideways glance at Nathan, who was focused on the road.

The man caught her stare immediately. He raised an eyebrow and shot her a look. "What is it?"

She felt even more flustered.

"N-nothing."

His eyebrow crept even higher. "Really?"

Terrified that Valerie might blurt out something even more scandalous, she quickly made an excuse about needing to eat and hung up the phone.

Taking in her panicked expression, he couldn't help but find it amusing. "What's wrong?"

She was a terrible liar. Pressed for an answer, her ears turned bright red as she reluctantly repeated Valerie's threat.

She quickly tried to backtrack. "She was just joking! She wouldn't actually do it."

He had thought it was something serious. Seeing her blushing furiously, he replied casually, "It's fine if she does."

"If she doesn't do it, the guys from the Special Task Force definitely will."

"Adding one more person to the mix won't change anything."

"Let her join in."

He flashed her a playful wink. "With her there, she'll probably go easy on you and keep them from picking games that are too rough."

"We'll just get them out of there as fast as possible, so we can finally have some time to ourselves."

Time to themselves?

What newlyweds did with 'time to themselves' on their wedding night didn't need any further explanation.

She shot him a glare, a mix of shyness and annoyance. "Do you have no filter?"

He laughed out loud.

"That's nothing."

"Besides—"

He dragged out the syllable, his tone dropping into a low, seductive drawl. "I've never been much of a talker. I prefer action."

Nora was speechless.
