The Coldest Man in the Room Melted Only for Me novel Chapter 189

Sebastian brushed it off entirely. "It's nothing." He turned and walked back out into the storm.

Riley walked into the bedroom and found two sets of clothes laid out on the bed—a silk nightgown and a casual outfit, complete with undergarments. She checked the tags. They were exactly her size, clearly prepared just for her.

But how on earth did Sebastian know her underwear size?

Winona's bright face suddenly popped into her head. They were roughly the same height and build. These must belong to his girlfriend.

Sebastian walked in carrying the bags. Seeing Riley staring blankly at the clothes, he said, "They're brand new. Washed and dried."

So he had bought these for Winona. Wearing them felt incredibly awkward, but since she hadn't brought anything of her own, she could only swallow her pride and accept. "Thank you."

Sebastian set the bags on the table and pointed to a thermos. "Boiling water." He pointed to a pitcher. "Purified cold water."

Mixing formula did require both hot and cold water. She hadn't expected him to be this thorough. "Got it."

His dark eyes swept the room, checking if anything was missing, before landing back on her. "I'm in the room next door. Let me know if you need anything."

"I will." Seeing him turn to leave, she quickly blurted out, "You're soaked. Go take a hot shower so you don't catch a cold."

Hearing the concern in her voice, a phantom smile graced his lips. When he looked back at her, his expression was completely unreadable. "I will. Get some sleep."

"You too."

Sebastian nodded and walked out.

Riley hadn't known him well before, always viewing him as aloof, aristocratic, and fiercely intimidating. But after crossing paths a few times recently, she realized he wasn't nearly as impossible to deal with as she had thought. In fact, he was incredibly kind.

After bathing Alora and coaxing her to sleep, Riley finally took a shower. She didn't rush to bed right away. The baby needed to eat every three to four hours. She had fed her right before leaving, meaning it had been three hours. Alora would be waking up hungry any minute.

But an hour passed, and Alora didn't wake up. She was sleeping unusually heavily. Something was wrong.

Riley put her phone down and pressed the back of her hand to her daughter's forehead. It felt a bit too warm.

Was she running a fever?

She pressed her forehead directly against Alora's, holding it there for a moment, but she couldn't be entirely sure. Panicking slightly, she rushed to Sebastian's door and knocked. "Sebastian, are you awake?"

A moment later, the door swung open. Sebastian stood there in a pair of black silk pajamas. The top had a plunging lapel, fully exposing the sharp, jagged lines of his collarbones and the long, sinfully corded muscles of his neck.

She was entirely used to seeing him in crisp, perfectly tailored suits with his collar buttoned to his throat—the absolute epitome of ruthless restraint. Seeing him stripped of his armor, radiating raw, effortless domesticity, caught her completely off guard. She froze.
