"The patient who jumped has postpartum depression and became severely overweight from her medication. She had caused scenes at the hospital several times before. After her previous doctor transferred out, a doctor named Lila Lanning took over the case. Today, Lila deliberately dumped this problematic patient onto Ms. Vance. From what I gathered, Lila was intentionally making things difficult for her."

A layer of frost settled over Sebastian's dark eyes. "Reason?"

"Lila Lanning has always worked under Gillian Grosse. The head of the psychiatry department might be retiring by the end of the year, and Gillian was the most likely candidate to take over. But once Ms. Vance arrived, she became her biggest rival."

Sebastian lowered his eyes in thought. When he looked up again, his gaze held the cold calculation of a master strategist. "Let the hospital director handle this matter properly first. Once he's dealt with it, fire him."
