When the enraged deity of fire was up to fulfilling her revenge, leaving all the deities and the entire heaven realm threatened, while her kins were only worried about her safety, someone appeared in the heaven realm after so long.
The one who had isolated himself from all the heavenly matters, abandoning all his ties with the heaven realm, and chose to live in seclusion, leaving everything in the hands of the King of Heaven, Grianor.
Solaris the Divine, the Emperor of Heaven.
He was finally forced to appear in the heaven realm as all three realms were at the edge of destruction.
The moment he appeared in the throne hall, each and every one present there got on their knees — Grianor, Drayvor, Draven, and the entire heaven realm.
While the ones from the mortal world, they didn’t know who he was.
Evanthe looked at the newcomer as she felt the familiar energy from him.
"Your father, the heavenly emperor," Sierra told her in a weak voice, and moved weakly to get on her knees so she could bow to him. Evanthe helped her, kneeling next to her and lowering her head as well. Her heart was heavy at the thought that she could finally see him, who she had only heard about.
Drayce and Seren did the same, as he was someone related to Evanthe.
Solaris looked at everyone, and then his gaze stopped at his daughter.
"Rise!" he told them in a calm, composed voice, but it had a commanding tone which could order all the three realms to obey him.
He was power himself — the divine power seemed to flow through him with no bounds at all. The oldest deity in existence, almost ancient one could say, with the cultivation of divine energy far beyond what one could imagine.
In all the realms, if any ancient being possessed such a strong cultivation and was as old as him, it would have been the demon lord, Oriana’s grandfather, who was not in existence now. But opposite to Solaris, the demon lord possessed absolute darkness.
At Solaris’ command, everyone rose to their feet. All the deities felt relieved to see him as they knew only the emperor would have a way to protect all the three realms. Moreover, his appearance here, when he had already decided to never meddle in the matters related to the three realms, signified that he was there for a reason — a reason to protect them and the three realms from extinction.
Wordlessly, Solaris looked at the ones who didn’t belong to the heaven realm, but to the mortal realm.
"Seeing you all have returned here and gathered together makes me feel like I am back to the golden days of the heaven realm." He especially meant it for certain few people — Grianor, Drayvor, Draven, and the deities who had to leave the heaven realms, including his own daughter.
"Supreme lord, it was my incompetence that the heaven realm lost so much and is now falling to ruins," Grianor said. "I have failed you, failed the responsibilities you once trusted me with."
"You sure have failed," Solaris said, "but that’s not entirely your fault. It was a test for you as well as for everyone of us, for the greater cause."
And then he turned to Isis, who was kneeling helplessly on the ground after Oriana had diverted her own attack back to her when she tried to harm Seren.
