Chapter 110.
Hearing this, Abigail burst into laughter again, tilting her head back like she had just heard the funniest joke of the night.
“Are you serious?” she said between laughs. “I should kneel for this
Marcus did not react. He only nodded once.
“Yes. You will kneel.”
poor woman?”
Abigail waved her hand dismissively as though brushing away an insect. “Whatever. I am just sure you can never buy it anyway.”
Marcus’s expression stayed unchanged. Then he spoke again, calm but firm.
“Before we move forward, we must have collateral. Something that will force you to kneel if you lose.”
Abigail’s eyes narrowed immediately. “What are you insinuating? n Why are you suddenly talking about collateral?”
The table stirred again. People leaned in, sensing the argument was shifting into something more serious.
“This is nonsense, who is that man”.
“He is bluffing, thinking Abigail will back down, today will be a regret for him!”.
Vera raised a hand slightly, her tone lighter but interested. “If you both insist on betting like this, it will only make things more entertaining.”
She looked at Abigail directly. “But to be sure you are confident, you should truly put something down.”
Abigail scoffed loudly, her pride flaring again. “Fine then.”
She bent slightly and dropped her purse onto the table.
The sound of it landing made a few people blink.
It was a designer Gucci purse, new edition, the leather still glossy under the light.
Abigail tapped it once. “This is worth three hundred thousand dollars. You can have it alongside the necklace if you win. That purse is worth more than everything in your account you are bluffing on.”
A wave of murmurs spread instantly around the table.
People exchanged looks again, the stakes suddenly feeling more real.
Vera nodded slowly. “Interesting.”
Then she turned her gaze toward Marcus. “And you as well. There should be consequences if you cannot pay.”
Marcus let out a soft sigh, like the whole situation was more annoying than threatening.
“i will also knee and serve her drinks, i will put my phone as collateral” he said simply.
For a second, silence was everywhere.
Then laughter erupted across the table.

Even Abigail laughed harder, pointing slightly. “Your phone? That is what you are offering? This is hilarious.”
Others joined in, shaking their heads. “This guy is serious?” someone muttered. “He is betting such a cheap phone against a five million dollar necklace?”
“Even abigail is staking that 500,000 dollars bag, but this clown brought out a phone”.
Abigail leaned forward, still laughing. “So that is it? That is your big stake? A phone?”
Jessica finally spoke again, her tone sharp with frustration. “Look, we don’t have to go through all this. This is nonsense.”
Abigail cut her off immediately. “But this man is the one claiming he can pay.”
Jessica turned toward Marcus, her expression tight. “Just drop it. This is ridiculous.”
But Marcus did not move. His eyes remained steady, fixed on Abigail.
“I am still in,” he said calmly.
The laughter slowly faded as his tone refused to bend.
Abigail studied him again, this time with more irritation than amusement. “Your phone is worthless anyway, she said sharply. “But I am confident you cannot pay, so I don’t mind taking it. It is a bet.”.
She leaned back in her chair, folding her arms with finality.
“It is a bet.” Vera added.
After they sealed the bet properly, Vera leaned forward and asked for Marcus’s phone number so she could send him the store link directly.
Marcus gave it without hesitation.
A few seconds later, the link was sent.
Everyone at the table shifted in their seats, anticipation rising again. Vera gestured slightly toward Marcus. “You can proceed from your phone.”
Marcus lowered his gaze and began tapping on his screen.
Immediately, the atmosphere changed. People started smiling, whispering, and exchanging mocking glances.
Abigail folded her arms, watching him closely like she was waiting for a failure she already believed in. Jessica also stared without blinking, her lips pressed tight.
“I want to see how you get out of this now,” Jessica muttered under her breath.
Abigail nodded slowly, patient now, as though she had already won.
Betty, on the other hand, swallowed hard. She didn’t understand Marcus’s confidence at all, and that uncertainty made her uneasy.
Only a few minutes passed.
Then Marcus lifted his head.
“Done,” he said calmly.

A pause.
He added, “Already paid. It is on its way.’
The entire table froze for a split second.
Then confusion erupted.
Vera leaned forward sharply. “You paid for it already?”
