“So, you are telling us to wait ten minutes for what? To pull another scam?” Abigail shrieked.
Vera then stated, “Actually, this store usually delivers within 10 minutes if they have a branch in the city, faster than most others. So if he actually paid for it, they will come, mention its name, and even bring a gem tester to see if it’s original.”
Travis chimed in, “Good thing you know everything about this stuff. You would obviously expose him now. I am sure no one is coming in those ten minutes.”
“Even if anyone comes, I am sure they might be friends and planned it together,” Abigail said. She didn’t want to believe this at all.
Betty even had to lean in and whisper, “Are you sure about this? You paid?”
Marcus just scoffed. He was so confident.
At that moment, Jessica, who thought Marcus was just bluffing, stated, “You can still back out now. It’s not too late.”
She said that maybe to help him out of the situation.
Marcus insisted, “No, I am not backing out!”
Abigail smirked and crossed her arms over her chest. The confidence on her face only grew stronger as the seconds ticked by.
“Okay then. Let’s see the rubbish he’s claiming.”
No one argued with her. In fact, most of them secretly agreed.
The atmosphere became strangely tense as everyone waited.
Vera tried to ease the mood by encouraging everyone to focus on their meals instead of staring at Marcus.
“Come on, everyone. The food is getting cold. We might as well eat while we wait.”
Unfortunately, nobody listened.
The dishes remained untouched as eyes constantly drifted toward the entrance and then back to the clock hanging on the wall. Even Betty found herself glancing at the time every few seconds. She wanted to believe Marcus, but the situation felt too unbelievable.
Seven minutes had already passed.
A smile appeared on Travis’s face, “Looks like nobody is coming.”
Abigail nodded in agreement. “I told you. This whole thing is ridiculous.”
Just then, the sound of the restaurant’s automatic door opening echoed through the room. Everyone instinctively turned toward the entrance.
Three figures stepped inside.
The person leading the group was a young woman whose appearance immediately drew attention from everyone present.

She looked to be in her mid-twenties and possessed the kind of beauty that made people stare without realizing it. Her silky dark hair rested neatly on her shoulders, while her elegant cream-colored suit perfectly complemented her graceful figure.
Following behind her were two men dressed in matching black suits. Their expressions were serious and professional. One of them carefully carried a large box draped with a spotless white cloth. Obviously, whatever was hidden beneath it was something extremely valuable.
The moment Vera saw the woman, her eyes widened dramatically.
“Oh my God…” she muttered.
“What?” Abigail asked.
Vera pointed toward the entrance.
“That’s Yvonne.”
“You know her?”
“Know her?” Vera almost laughed. “Who doesn’t know her?”
Everyone immediately turned to her.
Vera looked genuinely excited.

“She won Fashionista of the Year last month. Every luxury brand has been trying to work with her. She’s appeared on magazine covers, fashion shows, jewelry exhibitions, and countless advertisements. She’s basically one of the biggest names in the fashion industry right now.”
The more Vera spoke, the more shocked everyone became. “I follow fashion news all the time,” she continued. ” People literally call her the queen of luxury branding. Any company that manages to get her endorsement instantly gains attention.”
Betty looked back at the beautiful woman approaching from the entrance.
“Then what is someone like her doing here?”
That was the question everyone wanted answered.
The entire restaurant seemed captivated by her presence. Conversations had completely stopped. Several customers openly stared while others whispered among themselves.
Meanwhile, Yvonne calmly surveyed the room as though searching for someone. Then Marcus casually raised his hand.
“I’m here.”
Yvonne’s eyes landed on him.
Without the slightest hesitation, she changed direction and walked straight toward his table.
Every person in the restaurant watched her.
Travis’s mouth slowly fell open.
Betty blinked repeatedly.
Abigail’s smug expression vanished entirely. while jessica just watched.

Why would Yvonne be looking for Marcus?
The clicking of her heels against the floor seemed unusually loud as she approached. Finally, she stopped directly in front of Marcus and offered him a polite smile.
“Mr. Marcus, right?” she asked.
“Yes,” Marcus replied.
Yvonne nodded professionally.
“May I have the verification code, please?”
