The Disguised Billionaire She Rejected novel Chapter 112

Chapter 112

Yvonne glanced toward Abigail, who still looked as though she couldn’t process what had just happened.

“Yes, of course,” Yvonne said with a polite smile. “Our company already received Mr. Marcus’s payment of 5.6 million dollars. According to company policy, VIP customers receive special delivery services. That is why I was personally assigned to deliver the item.”

The restaurant fell into stunned silence. Nobody doubted her words. Not after seeing who she was and the necklace.

And certainly not after seeing the professionalism of the entire delivery. Several people began whispering among themselves.

“Oh my God.”

“He really paid.”

“That’s insane.”

“Five point six million dollars?”

Travis felt like his brain had stopped working.

His eyes remained fixed on Marcus.

“No… no way.”

Marcus didn’t even bother looking at him. Travis abruptly stood up.

“Marcus, where have you ever seen 5.6 million dollars?” he shouted. “You’re just a broke lowlife. There’s absolutely no way you paid for that necklace.”

Jessica quietly sighed.

Unlike Travis, she wasn’t completely dismissing the possibility anymore.

When she thought back carefully, Marcus had been spending an unbelievable amount of money lately. He never seemed concerned about prices anymore. Expensive meals, luxury gifts, expensive purchases. It had all happened one after another.

Her thoughts drifted toward Natalie.

Was Natalie really giving him that much money?

Jessica couldn’t understand it.

No matter how much she thought about it, it didn’t make sense.

Meanwhile, the others had already started praising Marcus. The atmosphere had completely changed.

The same people who had mocked him earlier now looked at him with admiration.

Some were openly impressed while others simply looked shocked.

Vera was perhaps the most excited person in the room.

She hurried over to Yvonne.

“Miss Yvonne, can I take a picture with you?”

Yvonne smiled politely.

“Of course.”

Vera immediately pulled out her phone and snapped several pictures.

She looked thrilled afterward.

“Nobody can call this a scam anymore,” she declared proudly. “Her presence alone proves everything.”

Many people nodded in agreement.

Yvonne was far too famous and respected to participate in some random scam.

After exchanging a few final words with Marcus, she gave a courteous bow.

“Thank you for choosing our company, Mr. Marcus.”

Then she turned and left with the two men.

The moment they disappeared through the entrance, a strange awkwardness settled over the restaurant.

Marcus calmly picked up the necklace box and handed it to Betty.

“For you.”

Betty stared at it.

For several seconds, she didn’t move as she carefully accepted it.

A necklace worth millions. She still couldn’t believe it.

Jessica watched the exchange and felt a sharp pang in her chest.

Jealousy.

She hated admitting it, but seeing Marcus buy something so expensive for another woman made her uncomfortable.

Marcus then turned his attention toward Abigail.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

“So, when are you kneeling down and apologizing?”

Abigail’s face immediately turned pale.

She opened her mouth.

“But… but…”

“This isn’t any ‘but,”” Marcus interrupted. “Just get down on your knees and apologize right away.”

Abigail looked completely shaken.

She stared at him as if seeing him for the first time.

“Who are you really?” she asked. “Are you actually that rich?”

Marcus shrugged.

“Leave that aside and do the needful.”

Abigail looked around the restaurant. Every eye was on her. They were waiting for her.

Vera folded her arms and smirked.

“You have your purse at stake. So do it already.”

There was no hiding the satisfaction in her voice.

After all, Abigail had been unbearably arrogant throughout the entire evening.

Whispers spread through the crowd.

“She’s really going to do it.”

“Serves her right.”

“Maybe she’ll finally learn her lesson.”

Abigail’s hands trembled. She hated every second of this. But losing her purse would be even worse.

Slowly and painfully, she lowered herself onto her knees.

The entire restaurant watched.

Her face burned with humiliation.

“I’m very sorry for what I said,” Abigail said sincerely while looking at Betty. “Please forgive me.”

Betty felt immensely satisfied.

A smug smile spread across her face.

“I don’t need your fucking apology.”

Abigail froze.

Betty leaned back in her chair.

“As we agreed, if we paid, we’d be treated like a king and queen.”

Then she pushed her empty glass forward.

“Now pour me a drink.”

“What?” Abigail exclaimed. “I can’t do that!”

Vera immediately laughed.

“Wasn’t that what we agreed on? Everyone would treat them like a king and queen.”

“But she’s only demanding it from me!”

Betty nodded. “Yes. Right now, I only want it from you.”

Abigail looked ready to explode.

Before she could argue again, Vera spoke up.

“If you refuse, you’ll be kicked out for violating the agreement.”

Abigail nearly cried from frustration.

Under everyone’s watchful eyes, she picked up the bottle with trembling hands and slowly poured a drink for Betty and Marcus.

The humiliation felt unbearable.

Meanwhile, Betty accepted the glass with a satisfied smirk and calmly took a sip.

After that, the mood of the gathering completely changed.
