Chapter 120

Meanwhile, Julia and Marcus made their way inside the hotel. Neither of them said a word, but Julia’s mind was already in turmoil. Everything Jessica had said kept replaying in her head.
Her chest tightened as she walked beside Marcus. Was he really in trouble because of her? Had he gone that far just to keep up appearances for her sake? And what about Betty? Was there really something going on between them?
By the time they reached her room, Julia could barely keep all the questions inside.
She turned to Marcus at the door and forced out a small smile. “Thank you for seeing me in.”
Marcus nodded. “It’s okay… i will check on you tomorrow.”
Julia lowered her gaze for a moment before saying softly, “Thanks, will be expecting you”
Marcus looked at her and his voice softened. “You shouldn’t worry about anything. Your family will come back for you. I’m sure of it.”
Julia wanted to believe him, but after everything that had happened today, she didn’t know what to believe anymore. Still, she nodded.
Then suddenly, she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him tightly.
Marcus stiffened for a brief second before relaxing. He slowly placed a hand on her back and let her hold him.
“Goodbye, Marcus,” Julia whispered.
“Goodbye,” he replied quietly.
Marcus turned and started to leave, but just as he took a few steps away, Julia suddenly called out, “Hey.”
He stopped at once and turned back to look at her.
Julia opened her mouth, wanting to ask him everything. About Betty and the loan shark.
But the words never came out.
In the end, she swallowed them all back. she did not want to make things worse by prying into his matters.
So instead, she just gave him a faint smile and said, “Later.”
Marcus looked at her for a second, then nodded.
After that, he finally left.
As soon as Marcus got home, the first thing he did was look for Natalie.
“How do we destroy the Sancho family?” he asked directly.
Natalie looked up at him and smiled faintly. “Anytime you want, just say the word and we’ll release everything.”
Marcus folded his arms and stared at her.
Natalie continued calmly, “In fact, we can also hack most of their accounts. Father had enough to destroy them.”
Marcus’s lips slowly curled into a satisfied smile.

Good.
Just then, Natalie stood up from the couch and picked up her bag.
“We need to go somewhere,” she said.
Marcus frowned. “Where?”
Natalie only gave him a mysterious look. “You’ll know when we get there.”
Marcus narrowed his eyes. “Natalie—”
But she had already started walking away. “Come on.”
Seeing that she clearly had no intention of explaining anything yet, Marcus could only follow her outside. The two of them got into a car, and after several minutes of driving, the vehicle finally came to a stop in front of a small
store.
Marcus got out and looked up at the place.
It was a jewelry and accessories shop.
There were bracelets, necklaces, rings, Raw stones, and all sorts of decorative items displayed behind the glass.
Marcus frowned and turned to Natalie. “Why are we here?”
Natalie crossed her arms and said, “During my research, I found something important about your bracelet.”
Marcus’s expression changed at once.
Natalie continued, “If you want the beads to level up faster so your power becomes stronger, you’ll need raw gemstone stones to activate them.”
Marcus stared at her. “What?”
Natalie nodded seriously. “According to what I found, each bead has a special power it can grant you. But to awaken one faster, you need raw gemstone energy. Once one bead is activated, you have to push that bead’s power to its peak before moving on to the next one.”
Marcus frowned harder, trying to process everything she was saying.
He looked down at the bracelet on his wrist, then back at her. “So you’re saying we came here for raw stones?”
“Yes,” Natalie said. “You will be the one to go in and choose them. While you do that, I will keep gathering everything we need on the Sancho family. If you find the right raw gem, there’s a chance you will unlock another bead.”
Marcus still looked unconvinced. “I don’t really understand any of this.”
Natalie gave a small shrug. “That’s fine. Just go get some stones first. I’ll explain it better after that.”
Marcus looked at the little store again, his mind full of questions. Then he glanced at the bracelet on his wrist one more time.
He stood up as Natalie gave him a brief farewell, then she left. The moment she was gone, Marcus turned back to the shop, but then it suddenly hit him.
Getting a raw gem from raw stones meant actually buying the stones, cutting them open, and hoping there was a gem hidden inside.

Marcus froze for a second.
How the hell was he supposed to know which stone had a gem inside it?
He was not an expert. He knew absolutely nothing about gems or raw stones. To him, they all looked like ordinary rocks. But Natalie had already left.
Marcus let out a long sigh and rubbed his forehead. “Great,” he muttered under his breath.
Since there was no point standing outside any longer, he pushed the door open and stepped into the store.
The place was bigger on the inside than it looked from outside. Bright lights shone over rows of glass displays, making everything glitter softly. Jewelry filled almost every corner. One section displayed necklaces arranged neatly on velvet stands. Another had rings lined up in shining rows. There were bracelets, earrings, pendants, and all sorts of expensive-looking accessories.
