Six slowly stepped backward, his sharp eyes never leaving Marcus for even a second. A confident smirk spread across his face as he reached behind his waist and drew out two short knives.

The blades were only slightly longer than his palm, but they were polished to perfection, reflecting a deadly silver glow. Just as Natalie had warned, the cultivator had indeed come prepared with weapons.

He casually spun both knives between his fingers before pointing one toward Marcus. “Let’s make this quick. don’t have all day to waste on you.”

The moment he finished speaking, a deep blue aura burst out from his body and rushed into the knives. Both blades immediately lit up with an eerie blue glow, humming with power as the surrounding air trembled slightly under the pressure.

Marcus narrowed his eyes but remained calm. He tightened his grip on the sword Natalie had given him and slowly circulated the energy inside his body. At once, the bracelet around his wrist began shining again. Three of the ten beads glowed brilliantly, releasing streams of warm energy that flowed through his meridians. His sword soon became wrapped in a faint golden aura, making the blade appear sharper and far more intimidating than before.

For several seconds, neither of them moved. They simply stared at each other, each waiting for the other to make the first mistake.

. Then, without warning, Six disappeared from where he stood. Marcus’ instincts screamed.

A blue flash appeared directly before him.

Clang!

Marcus raised his sword just in time to block the first knife. Before the clash was even over, the second knife swept toward his ribs from the opposite direction. Marcus twisted his body sideways, narrowly avoiding the attack before swinging his sword toward Six’s chest. Six leaned backward with incredible flexibility, allowing the glowing blade to pass just inches from his face before pushing himself away.

Neither of them paused. Marcus immediately rushed forward this time, refusing to remain on the defensive. His sword sliced downward with tremendous force, but Six crossed both glowing knives above his head to block it. Sparks exploded from the collision as both men were pushed backward by the impact. Dust rose around them, yet before it could settle, they charged at each other once again.

The factory echoed with the constant sound of metal colliding.

Clang!

Clang!

Clang!

Marcus attacked with broad, powerful swings while Six relied on speed and precision, slipping around every strike like flowing water. Sometimes Marcus barely avoided a knife by tilting his head. Other times Six was forced to jump away as Marcus’ sword narrowly missed his body. Their movements became faster and faster until only flashes of blue and gold could be seen weaving through the abandoned factory.

For the first part of the battle, neither man held the advantage.

Marcus could immediately feel the difference the gemstone had made. During their previous encounter, he had been completely overwhelmed. But now, he could match Six’s speed and strength. Every attack that came toward

him was met with another of equal force. Even Six slowly began to realize something was different.

A grin slowly crept onto Six’s face.

“So you’ve become stronger,” he said, sounding almost impressed. “But that means nothing, I will still shred you!

Marcus didn’t answer. His gaze remained fixed on every movement Six made, refusing to let his concentration slip. He knew one mistake could cost him his life. Suddenly, Six stopped attacking.

He closed his eyes.

The blue aura surrounding his body became far denser than before, swirling violently around the two knives until they almost disappeared inside the energy. A powerful pressure spread across the factory, making Marcus instinctively tighten his grip on the sword.

Then Six vanished again. like, He simply disappeared.

Marcus quickly turned to his left.

Nothing. He spun to his right and stilll nothing.

Just Then-Slash!

A burning pain shot through his arm.

Marcus immediately jumped backward as blood splashed onto the floor. A long cut stretched across his left forearm. Had he reacted a fraction slower, the blade would have sliced through his neck instead.

Six appeared several meters away with a satisfied smile.

He said proudly. “Let’s see how long you survive it with this my moves”

Before Marcus could steady himself, Six vanished again.

Another blue flash.

Slash! This time, Marcus’ shoulder was cut open.

He barely recovered before Six disappeared once more.

Slash!

A fresh wound appeared across his side.

Again.

Slash!

Another cut landed on his thigh.

Marcus gritted his teeth as he desperately dodged backward. Although he managed to avoid several attacks, many still found their mark, leaving shallow but painful wounds across his body. His clothes were gradually becoming stained with blood.

Marcus forced himself to calm down despite the pain. Instead of watching Six’s body, he began paying attention to the movement of the blue aura itself. After several exchanges, he noticed something extremely subtle. Every time Six used that strange movement technique, there was some changed in the air from the direction he would appear.
