The Disguised Billionaire She Rejected novel Chapter 204

chapter 204

Marcus sighed, breathing heavily as he gazed down at Hades’s lifeless body. His chest rose and fell as the last traces of his cultivation energy slowly faded.

Then he looked toward the other side of the building.

His men had already overwhelmed Jace’s remaining forces. The floor was littered with weapons and bodies, while several wounded men groaned in pain. Blood stained the walls and spread across the floor, but the battle was finally over.

They had won.

Natalie immediately called several men over.

“Pack up the bodies. All of them. We can’t involve the police in this.”

The men nodded and quickly began gathering the corpses and clearing the evidence of the battle.

Natalie then walked toward Marcus.

“Are you okay?”

Marcus nodded. “You know me. I heal faster than normal. I’m fine. What about you?”

Natalie nodded as well. “I’m fine.”

Marcus glanced around the room before looking at the bodies.

“So these are the people who killed Father?”, Natalie asked.

“Yes, They did it because they wanted the Book of Life. Or something.” Marcus stated.

The Book of Life contained knowledge that could allow a cultivator to advance his cultivation to higher levels. More importantly, it contained methods capable of removing cultivation from someone’s body entirely.

Their father, Mr. langstone, had been interested in the second part.

As science continued advancing and methods of cultivation became increasingly powerful, he had begun searching for a way to reduce or even remove cultivation from a person.

That research had made him a target. One of the reasons he had been killed. After everything was settled, Marcus and Natalie finally left the building.

They remained silent for most of the journey back.

Eventually, Marcus broke the silence.

“So tell me. Who exactly is Jackson? And how did he suddenly come out of nowhere claiming to be Father’s secret heir?”

Natalie sighed. “Actually, Father had an affair with his secretary.”

Marcus’s eyebrows rose.

“He loved her,” Natalie continued. “He even decided to take care of her and the child quietly. He spent everything he could to raise them without allowing the public to know about them.”

She paused.

“But the secretary wasn’t interested in him. She was only interested in his money. She constantly demanded more and even blackmailed him. Eventually, Father threatened to cut her off completely, and she disappeared.”

Marcus remained silent.

“Even after that, Father still secretly sent her money. And it wasn’t a small amount. He gave her more than enough to live comfortably for the rest of her life.”

Natalie looked at him. “He once gave them two billion dollars.”

Marcus’s eyes widened.

“Two billion?”

He had never heard anything about this while his father was alive.

His father had always appeared to be a straightforward and disciplined man. Marcus had never imagined that he had secretly supported another family for years.

“He seemed like such a pure soul,” Marcus muttered. “Why would he do something like that?”

“I know what you’re thinking,” Natalie said. “But Father did his best. In fact, he even asked them to acknowledge him publicly. He wanted to give Jackson a proper identity and make him part of the family.”

Marcus frowned.

“Both of them refused.” Natalie stated, “And that’s what I don’t understand. If Jackson truly wanted Father’s inheritance, why didn’t he accept it when Father was alive? Why did he suddenly appear now, after Father’s death, claiming to be the secret heir?”

Marcus understood exactly what Jackson wanted. Their father was dead, and with him gone, Jackson could no longer expect money or protection. If Jackson had truly been raised around wealth, losing that source of money would have been unbearable.

He sighed.

“He’ll do anything to get it.”

Natalie nodded. “Right now, he’s with the board.”

Marcus’s expression became thoughtful. He had already gotten his revenge for his father’s death. There was no reason to keep hiding anymore. If Jackson wanted to claim his place in the family, Marcus would confront him directly.

“Then it’s time I reveal myself,” Marcus said.

Natalie looked at him. “Are you sure?”

Marcus nodded. “Yes, let go”.

Then, They made thier way, inside the Car, Natalie received a call, It was the senior board leaders. Mr. Richard, who also knew about Marcus identity.

She picked it up, and instantly, her facial expression changed as she frowned her face.
