The Disguised Billionaire She Rejected novel Chapter 205

Chapter 205

Natalie suddenly pulled the car over to the side of the road.

Marcus frowned and looked at her. “Why did you stop? What happened?”

Natalie turned toward him, her expression serious. “It’s from Mr. Robert. He said it’s very urgent. We have to meet him before we go to the board meeting.”

Marcus frowned even deeper. Mr. Robert was one of the senior board leaders, and more importantly, he was one of the few people who knew Marcus’s true identity. If a man like him had suddenly demanded an urgent meeting something serious must have happened.

“What’s so important that it can’t wait?” Marcus asked. “Jackson might do something stupid while we’re wasting time.”

“Mr. Robert will take care of that,” Natalie replied calmly. “But he specifically told me that we have to meet him first. He wouldn’t have insisted if it wasn’t important.”

Marcus remained silent for a moment before finally nodding. “Fine. Let’s go.”

Natalie started the car again, and they continued down the road. Several minutes later, they arrived at their destination.

Ryx Palace Hotel.

The enormous building towered over the surrounding city like a giant. The hotel had one hundred floors and more than a thousand rooms, making it the largest and most luxurious hotel in the entire city.

Marcus stepped out of the car with Natalie and walked toward the entrance. The moment they entered the grand lobby, he could immediately see why the hotel had such a reputation.

The ceiling stretched several stories high, decorated with enormous crystal chandeliers that illuminated the polished marble floor. Golden decorations lined the walls, while expensive paintings and sculptures were displayed throughout the lobby. Even the furniture looked more expensive than most people’s houses.

Marcus glanced around before walking toward the reception desk with Natalie.

Natalie then told the receptionist, “We are here to see someone in the 1000th room”.

The receptionist immediately frowned. She looked at Marcus as though she had misheard him.

“I can’t-”

Before she could finish, Natalie quietly pulled out a gold card and placed it on the counter.

The receptionist’s expression changed instantly.

She carefully picked up the card, scanned it, and stared at the information displayed on the screen. Her eyes widened slightly before she immediately straightened her posture.

“okay. Please follow me.”

She quickly stepped out from behind the counter and personally led them toward a private elevator.

The elevator doors opened, revealing an interior covered in polished gold-colored metal and dark wood. Natalie and Marcus stepped inside, followed by the receptionist.

As the elevator began ascending, Marcus looked at the floor indicator.

The numbers continued climbing.

The doors finally opened on the highest floor of the hotel.

Marcus stepped out and immediately understood why ordinary guests were never allowed up here.

The entire floor was enormous, quiet, and heavily guarded. A long corridor stretched ahead of them, with luxurious decorations covering every wall. The carpet beneath their feet was thick enough to silence their footsteps.

The receptionist stopped in front of a massive set of double doors.

Before Marcus and Natalie could enter, five heavily built bodyguards stepped forward.

“Please stop,” one of them said.

They proceeded to check both Marcus and Natalie from head to toe, making sure neither of them was carrying anything suspicious. After confirming that they were clean, the guards finally stepped aside.

Marcus walked through the doors.

The sight inside immediately caught his attention.

Nearly thirty armed men were positioned throughout the enormous room. Some stood near the walls, while others remained near the windows and entrances. Every single one looked alert, as though they were prepared to respond to the slightest threat.

Marcus’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Whatever was happening here, Robert had clearly taken it extremely seriously.

His gaze eventually landed on the man standing at the center of the room.

Mr. Robert.

The moment Robert saw Marcus, his expression changed. He immediately walked forward and bowed respectfully.

“Good day, Young Master.”

Marcus couldn’t hide his curiosity any longer.

He looked around at the thirty armed men before turning his attention back to Robert.

“What’s this all about?” he asked.

Mr. Robert immediately lowered his head apologetically.

“I apologize for the inconvenience, Young Master, and especially for arranging this meeting so suddenly,” he said. “But this matter is extremely important. There is someone here who wishes to speak with you personally.”

Marcus frowned. “Who?”

Before Robert could answer, the bathroom door at the far end of the room suddenly opened.

A man stepped out.

The moment he saw Marcus, a smile appeared on his face.

“Young Master!”

He immediately bowed slightly.

At the same time, all thirty armed men in the room lowered their heads and bowed toward Marcus as well.

Marcus’s eyes widened slightly.

Because of the man’s position and the angle at which he had entered, Marcus hadn’t been able to see his face properly. But when the man finally straightened and smiled at him, Marcus froze.

“Finally,” the man said warmly. “I get to see you again.”

Marcus stared at him.
