Chapter 123 Sharing a Table

Tracy stared at the lavish spread, but she had no appetite. It was probably because she hadn’t eaten on time; her stomach felt acidic.
Even though she had taken her medicine back in the hotel room, she still felt unwell and had no desire to
eat.
Professor Martin had prescribed a lot of medication this time. She already felt full just from taking it, so she couldn’t eat much else.
Sam, seeing Tracy’s distress, couldn’t help but ask, “What’s wrong? Is the food in Sea City not to your liking?”
Tracy shook her head. “No, I ate some snacks on the plane, so I’m just not that hungry.”
Her seat on the flight hadn’t been next to Sam’s, so she could get away with the lie.
Otherwise, she really wouldn’t have known what excuse to use. It was a real headache.
The two were eating at a leisurely pace when a group of people suddenly approached their table from the
entrance.
Tracy looked up. It was Chandler and Yvonne, along with the two Xander brothers.
Jared spoke apologetically, “Mr. Zach, we just went to see a professor, and by the time we got back, all the tables were full. Would you mind if we shared the table? Don’t worry, I’ll take care of the bill.”
He had clearly ignored Tracy.
Sam caught it, too. He glanced at the group, put down his fork, and stood up. “No need. I’m not so poor that I can’t afford my own meal. I’m finished. Tracy, if you’re done, let’s go. Please, help yourselves.”
He knew exactly what they wanted to talk about. A hotel this size being full? They couldn’t even come up with a decent excuse.
Besides, even if this hotel was full, couldn’t they go somewhere else?
This was clearly just an excuse to talk business with him. He wasn’t stupid enough to miss it.
Worse, they wanted to talk to him while completely ignoring Tracy, as if she were invisible.
That made him extremely uncomfortable. He was, after all, perfectly clear on the relationship between Tracy and this group.
He knew exactly what their little schemes were; he just didn’t feel like calling them out.
Tracy put down her fork, grabbed a napkin, and left with Sam. She had no desire to deal with them either.
Jared watched them go, looking like he wanted to say something, but in the end, he remained silent.
He called a waiter to clear the leftovers from the table before pulling our a chair to sit

Watching them leave, Lincoln sneered. “The invitations for this exhibition were so hard to get, and Mr. Zach actually gave one to Tracy, who knows nothing. Has he been blinded by lust? Would Vector’s core employees really be okay with this?”
He had only gotten his invitation thanks to his family. He’d figured Vector would be invited, but he never thought Sam would bring Tracy.
What kind of charm did that woman have, to attract both Sam and the Johnson family’s golden boy?
And both men were helping her, openly and behind the scenes.
He just didn’t get it. Tracy was just a housewife who only knew how to cook.
How had two such outstanding men both fallen for her?
Perry chimed in, “I heard Mr. Johnson received an invitation but had an urgent business trip abroad, so he won’t be attending. I was thinking… we all only got one invitation. Do you think Tracy’s invitation came from Mr. Johnson?”
He had heard that morning that Sean had flown abroad and wouldn’t make it to the exhibition.
All the major enterprises in Northport had received only one invitation; the absolute most anyone got was
two.
