Chapter 302 Exposed

Nina had lived at the Sand estate for a while, moving into Natalie’s room and treating her belongings as her own. She thought she’d successfully usurped Natalie’s place, but the illusion shattered when the family caught her selling off Natalie’s luxury items.

The fallout was humiliating. They kicked her out and sent her back to the Lynns immediately. Her grandmother hadn’t even tried to defend her, offering nothing but a silent, weary sigh. Nina never forgot that sting. To her, she was just trading Natalie’s trash for her own things. She couldn’t see what the big deal

was.

Lana smiled, playing along with Nina’s act. “Nina’s right, Natalie. You should at least meet him; you might hit it off. A woman’s prime only lasts so long, and it gets harder to find a good match later on. You don’t have to rush into marriage, but it’s worth dating around. Time reveals a person’s true character, after all.”

Lana’s perfect match was a total nobody. Since Natalie seemed to have a thing for losers, Lana figured she’d lean into it. In her mind, only Nina deserved a man of actual status.

Natalie pulled her hand back, her expression cool. “Don’t waste your breath worrying about me. Worry about yourselves. Are you actually sure this Ronald is even part of the actual Quinn family? I’ve met Felix Quinn personally. Should I call him over to verify his relative?”

The color drained from Ronald’s face. He visibly faltered under Natalie’s gaze.

The surrounding guests began to murmur. The Quinns were Northport royalty, and the Lynns were nowhere near that circle. Most people here were only attending out of respect for the Sands, and none of them had ever actually seen a Quinn in the flesh.

The fact that Natalie knew Felix personally was a bombshell. As much weight as the Sands carried, they were still a league below the Quinn family.

Lana’s stomach dropped. She knew Ronald was a fraud, but she’d banked on the fact that no one in this room would know the difference. It was a calculated risk that Natalie had just blown to pieces.

The whispers grew louder.

“Wait, did she say she knows the head of the family? Look at Ronald, he’s shaking.”

“Nina was just bragging about her high-society boyfriend, and now this? How embarrassing.”

“The truth always comes out. They probably thought they could get away with it because none of us move in those circles.”

“They were just trashing Natalie for dating a loser, and now it looks like Nina’s dating a con artist. The irony is incredible.”

Lana’s face turned a mottled red. She shot Natalie a murderous look before forcing a laugh for the crowd. “Everyone, ignore her. Natalie’s just joking. Don’t take it seriously.” She leaned in, her voice a sharp hiss. “Stop this nonsense, Natalie. You’re making a scene and embarrassing both families.”

Natalie just smirked. “Whether I’m joking is something you already know, isn’t it?”

The panic in their eyes confirmed everything. It was a pathetic play. They were trying to buy status with a lie. Did they really think the world was small enough that they’d never be caught?
