Cassidy Quinn ran a media studio.
Its main operations included film and television production, social media management, public relations, and talent development.
Recently, she also planned to expand into short-form streaming content.
Staying alone would only lead to overthinking, and since Nora Dodge didn't want to go home, she headed out to find Cassidy.
The welcome party was at a high-end private club.
As Nora walked into the club, Cassidy was waiting in the lobby.
"Nora!" Cassidy stepped up and threw an arm over her shoulder. "Stressing about the divorce?"
Nora gave a small nod. "Yeah."
"Don't stress. Seriously, don't. A man isn't your whole life. You can make your own money, get your emotional support from your girls, and let the rest just happen. Nothing is insurmountable."
Not seeing her for a few days, Cassidy looked even more carefree. "Come on, let's head upstairs. I'm going to help you relax!"
Entering the private room on the second floor, the party was already in full swing. It was mostly Cassidy's staff, and Nora recognized most of them.
"Come here, let me introduce you. This is my new talent, Felix."
Cassidy waved a handsome young guy over. "Felix, come say hi to Nora."
Felix sported a vibrant, light purple cut. With his luminous skin, full lips, and bright, expressive eyes, he was stunningly gorgeous.
"You got it, Boss!" Following Cassidy's cue, Felix flashed a dazzling smile and stepped right up to Nora. He slid his left foot back, leaned in, gently took her right hand, and bowed his head to press a soft kiss against her knuckles.
"Nice to meet you, Nora!"
"Or someone 'randomly' finds a stray cat, dog, or even a kid on the street, happens to catch it on video, and starts a daily vlog documenting their journey together."
Nora nodded. "I've seen those."
"Most of those are entirely scripted, though a few are genuine. Industry insiders can usually tell at a glance," Cassidy explained. "Felix is going to shoot a scripted series to build his personal brand."
Nora realized what she meant. "I see."
"I'm not picking up stray cats, though," Felix said with a cheeky grin. "That niche is way too crowded. I need a script that stands out."
"Oh, shut up." Cassidy glared at him. "Your idea is garbage."
"Is it?" Felix tilted his head, giving Nora a playful wink. "I just want to play the secret billionaire heir who got kidnapped by the nanny. Nora, do you think that works?"
