The Divorce That Brought Us Back novel Chapter 35

The drive to the hospital was suffocatingly quiet.

Sitting in the back, Nora leaned over the driver's seat and whispered, "Cassidy, pregnant women shouldn't get so angry."

Cassidy took a deep breath. "I'm not angry."

"Whatever you want to do, I support you."

"I don't want to do anything."

"If you're pissed off, just let it out."

"Ha, why would I ruin my mood over a psycho?"

She was absolutely furious.

Nora shot a glance at Felix in the passenger seat.

"Felix, you and Cassidy are relatives?" she asked, trying to lighten the mood.

Felix chuckled. "Yeah, we're cousins. No blood relation, though."

Nora nodded. "Oh. So why did you decide to become an influencer?"

"I have older brothers and sisters. I'm the baby of the family. I'm not getting a piece of the inheritance, and no one expects me to do anything great." Felix ran a hand through his flashy purple hair. "What else am I supposed to do? Might as well be an influencer and enjoy the adoration of the masses."

He continued, "Honestly, I didn't plan on being an influencer at first. I majored in acting in college and wanted to be a star. I played six extras, but no director ever noticed me. I bought my way into a second male lead role, and the internet roasted me alive!"

Nora blinked. "Really?"

Cassidy chimed in from the driver's seat. "The internet called him completely androgynous."

Nora tilted her head, studying Felix.

He definitely wasn't the rugged, hyper-masculine type.
