The Divorce That Brought Us Back novel Chapter 46

The photos didn't just feature Parker.

There was also Seraphina.

This was already the second time this week Nora had seen these two in the same frame.

Were they really that close?

Nora couldn't help but wonder.

Besides, just the other day at the company, Seraphina had thrown down the gauntlet. She claimed Maloney was in love with her, warning Nora to prepare to have him stolen away.

So why was she now tangled up with another man?

By dinner time, the thought was still lingering in Nora's mind.

"I'm heading home right after dinner." Jasmine was getting engaged next month and was currently on a strict diet. Dinner at home was grilled steak. She had two bites of meat and half a plate of plain greens before hurriedly putting down her fork. She turned to Nora, "Nora, I'll see you at the studio tomorrow."

Nora snapped back to reality and nodded. "Okay."

Cassidy glanced at Nora's plate. "Why are you eating so little too?"

Nora: "I just don't have much of an appetite."

"Stop stressing over the divorce." Cassidy dropped two pieces of brisket onto Nora's plate. "Like I said, just go home today and have a proper talk with your husband."

"Yeah, I know."

The truth was, Nora wasn't stressing over the divorce.

It wasn't happening anytime soon anyway.

What she was stressing over was...

Right on cue, her phone buzzed in her pocket.

She pulled it out to see a text from Maloney: [What time are you coming home?]

A wave of inexplicable panic gripped Nora's chest.

Her fingers hovered over the keyboard, but for a long time, she couldn't type a single letter.
