A Blessed Relief Comes
Aubrette arrived to the Alpha’s office and greeted everyone, including Alpha Gretta, who told Slade to hang up. She’d call right back, make it a video conference call and to put her up on the big screen in his office, so everyone could see her and she them; which he did.
“Alpha Gretta.” Mischa nodded to her. She’d not actually met her in person before, and it was good to put a face to a name. “I have prepared an e–mail for you myself; of my life and all that’s happened to me. Which will show you how I came to be here and why I am doing this. Do you wish that I send it to you? So you can have the full picture,” Mischa asked.
“Yes, send it.” Gretta nodded.
Mischa clicked into the drafts of her personal e–mail and clicked the send button. She had used her remote access to log into the pack earlier to get Alpha Gretta’s e–mail address. As a Luna, it was something she was allowed to have access to; who all the Council members
were and their contact information.
She’d prepped everything knowing that council members liked to have all the information. Then they all sat and waited for Gretta to receive it, and they all got to watch her just sit there and go through it. She understood council members could read at an exceptional rate, speed read and not miss anything. It was to do with their job, and the volume of things they had to go through likely on a daily basis.
It was only 10 minutes to get through nearly a hundred pages, then Gretta looked up and there was a frown on her face. “Reading between the lines, Luna Mischa, your own Alpha Mate, no longer cares for you at all. Cares only for his second Mate. This is the reason you’ve decided not to inform him of what you are doing…” Gretta shook her head and sighed a little.
“He’s voiced that he wants you to birth his heir to the pack, yet doesn’t concern himself with you at any other times… That is odd to me. I dare say, on a deeper level, he understands that your genes and temperament are far better than that of his second Mate.
“That you, as the mother to the heir to the pack, your and his child would be much more suited to running a pack than one from a she–wolf that has been marked as having traitorous tendencies. I can also see something you likely don’t.
“It is entirely possible he doesn’t want an heir from his second Mate; at all, after what she did. Has she been informed he wants the heir to the pack to come from yourself?” Gretta asked her directly.
“Hmm, he stated it while their formal punishment was being laid out… and before not only her but the entire pack.” Mischa nodded. She’d not even considered that aspect of it. “I told

him the heir would be by the will of the Goddess. Knowing if he took that from his other Mate; the right to birth the heir to the pack, I’d likely have a target on my back. Where his other Mate is concerned.” She answered Gretta in full.
“That would be treason and would see her death come about very quickly,” Gretta stated.
“It is, but it won’t. I don’t believe her head will come off. She’s already been seen to have traitorous tendencies towards me, Alpha Gretta…” she sighed and shook her head a little. “ Anthony defended her, even absorbed one of her punishments. So I believe he’ll defend her yet again, even though he said she’d get no leeway, I believe he will protect her or try to.”
Mischa laid out how she felt.
“Why is she still there then?” Gretta frowned. “I could, with all this, see to sending Alpha Dennis to your very pack and have him unseat your Mate, and the other she–wolf. Leaving you in charge of the pack.”
“I don’t want that Alpha Gretta,” Mischa informed her. “He was a good loving Mate and a good Alpha to the pack. He treated them well and looked after them properly when it was just the two of us and our units. The unit itself is loyal to the pack more so than to their Alpha, and none of them will stop me from walking away. I don’t fear him or being trapped
there.
“They won’t tell him when I do it either, and I will be leaving. I have made that decision, as has my wolf, but…” she thought about how to word it for a Wolfen Council member. “I believe some punishment for not only him but his other Mate is in order from his first Mate.
“To do this, I’m going to let them punish themselves, so to speak, this is how I go about that. I’m just hoping you’ll allow me to do what it is I want in order for them to bring about punishing themselves. I do understand it’s a bit unorthodox, the route I’ve chosen.
“But with the situation I now find myself in, I can, in fact, kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. That being; punishing both of them all the while, I am helping to find a way to save others from suffering the same fate, by choosing to stay in the mate bond, which allows my two heats a year to happen.
“Which, in turn, allows for Madison to use that genius tech brain of hers to find a way to stop a wolfen heat, but also make sure that very thing is not a permanent thing, but is reversible. Which leaves the she–wolf that needs it in full control of when she will be mated by her own
Mate,
“The circumstances I find myself in, as do many others I now know, finds me not wanting to have my own Mate tend to my heat. It is a side effect of what happened to me, and if one has a loving, caring Mate, it can be overcome with time.

“So, what I’m doing and allowing is going to help Madison, create something that allows those she–wolves to wait until they are ready emotionally once more, to have their Mate tend to their heat and nothing more. It harms none, actually promotes mental wellbeing for the she–wolf, which in turn can see one’s mate bond come back to that, of what it was prior to the suffering.” She stated how she saw it.
She saw Gretta nod slowly. “Alright, I can see that… but what happens, Mischa, if your Alpha Mate finds out what you’re doing? He could see that as an act of treason himself. You’re deceiving him out of the heir he wants from you?”
“I’ll let him think that, that’s his prerogative, but the Elders within my pack will not see it as he does. So nothing will happen to me other than having to explain myself in front of the pack. They, I believe, will understand why I did it and take my side when I explain that I believed his other Mate would be looking to harm me or my child, if I was to get pregnant with the heir to the pack.
“It’s not like she hasn’t tried to have Anthony get rid of me before, so my thought process, regardless of what she says or Anthony’s defense of her, will have to be taken into account. With all that said, I also believe the Elders will allow me to continue to do this, because they understand I am the wronged party, not Anthony. That this came about from not only his
actions but his second Mates as well.”
“Thought about it a lot I see.” Gretta nodded slowly. “Alright, I can see you have more than one logical reason for doing this and why you’re keeping it from not only your Mate, but the pack as well.” Gretta stated, then turned her eyes away from Mischa and to Madison.
“Maddie, you’re working on this exclusively with a full view of creating a patented… wolfen world medical device, I guess we’re calling it. One that is removable and will not cause a permanent halt to a heat.”
“Yes, it will not be considered detrimental to wolfen or any otherworldly creatures‘ reproduction; it won’t affect the growth of a species. It will be designed as a fully removable implant, something the women that agrees to have the implant has to request the removal of herself, not her Mate. This is the rule I want on it.
“Once it’s removed, her heats will resume as normal. It’s also not going to be considered birth control, a heat reduction device only. As you know, one can get pregnant outside of a heat, and I’m not aiming to put anything that will stop fertility into the device, so if and when the she–wolf feels, she’s ready to sleep with her Mate once more.
“She may do so, and this could have them produce a pup without a heat. The she–wolf, willing to once again sleep with her Mate will likely be the prelude to removing the device as well. The device itself will specifically target heat pheromones.”

“You can guarantee the heat will come again after the device is removed?” Alpha Gretta
asked.
“I will be doing tests for that, but yes, I believe once the device is removed there will be no detrimental side effects. It would be no different in reality to the human bar in the arm for contraception. Only mine will target the heat, not fertility.”
“Aubrette?” Alpha Gretta asked.
“I can imbue a moonstone to have the same effect. As long as the she–wolf wears it, the heat won’t come.” Aubrette stated, “Mischa here will be the first to try it.”
“If I can’t create the tech needed to do this specific thing, Aubrette and I have agreed to work together, to find a way to create a magically imbued piece of tech, I guess you could say. But Aubrette has told me not all things can be imbued by magic,” Maddie elaborated.
“Aubrette, you’re willing to do this of your own accord?” Gretta asked.
“I am,” Aubrette nodded. “The sun realm fairies used it long ago when our world was ripped apart, and they were separated from their Mates and couldn’t leave the night realm. I have the knowledge and the power to do this.
“The imbued item I already know, from my inherited knowledge, when removed will restart the heat. No side effects. The only problem with me imbuing something to be worn is that it could get lost, destroyed or stolen and used on another. That is why, with your permission, Alpha Gretta, I will use a single drop of the she–wolf’s blood,
“She will give consent to the use of her blood for the item. This will also stop it being used on unsuspecting wolves. Be tailored to the individual only. The fairy realm doesn’t specify that, but I’ll use what happened in the Highland Hills pack to tailor the imbued item to only work on a single person. Not just anyone that picks it up and puts it on.”
They all sat and watched Gretta think about all that had been said and discussed, she’d gotten all the facts around what was going to happen and how it was going to happen as well, who was involved and why it was being done. Now she was thinking it through.
