The Eclipsed Life of Luna Mischa (by Jennifer Francis) novel Chapter 107

CH 107

I don’t really like all that is going on. Many things could go wrong with this particular thing,” Alpha Gretta admitted, But this contract you have provided me with Alpha Slade, along with all I’ve learnedit does cover everything that is important. I can see all of you have worked very hard on securing this very thing into coming about.

I agree that there does need to be a photograph of the shewolf herself and the imbued item, that she willingly signs a statement about giving consent for Aubrette to use a single drop of blood and what it’s for. However, you all missed something which I will lay out for you, as I, an Alpha on the Wolfen Council, will need to happen to see something like this be approved.

What is missing and needs to be addressed in full, is that there is nothing in this contract to prove the shewolf is in a threeway mate bond, where her Mate has two Mates that are not bound to each other. That needs to be addressed. So I’ve added a few clauses of my own.

1. the other two Mates in the mate bond must be named in full and a picture of all three of them together with a clear photograph of the Mate’s doublemarking filigree is shown.”

I can’t get you a photo with the three of us together, Alpha Gretta. Christy and I don’t get along, I don’t believe there is a single picture of the three of us all together anywhere. I could get you a picture of myself and Anthony and one of Christy and Anthony, but not all three of us together,Mischa offered.

Thank you, but it’s registered that you and Christy aren’t mated to each other with the Wolfen Council. I already checked that, that box was ticked when she was added to the leadership. Though it was kind of expected seeing the gap between your mating and his and Christy’s,Gretta stated simply.

This, though, is the concern I have. Any shewolf with one mark, like yourself, could come and state they’re in a threeway mate bond and therefore showing me filigree like you just did, use that to say she’d not mated to the other shewolf in the bond. This could see problems in

the future.

Shewolves are deceitful at times in going about getting what they want. Could lie about being in a bond like this altogether. Could well have a brother or friend that has a double mark and just take and send a photo of themselves with that person, like you offered to do. So it will have to be a full photo of the three of them together.

That could also be faked,” Slade muttered. I’ll add a clause, Gretta, that the Wolfen Council must be allowed to access the shewolves and her two Mates pack files, to verify that there are three wolves in the bond, and the type of mate bond they have. Pack files do specify that, if it’s a multiple mate bond.

That should eliminate the need for photos of the other Mates, and you can get that yourself You could, as the Wolfen Council bring out a new mandate for all wolfen packs. That they have to register all their multiple mate bond pairs within their pack. Including what type of bond it is, who’s mated to who and this would verify all trying to get this tech for themselves,” Slade offered.

That would actually be a better way of doing it,Maddie added. Create a database for multiple mate bonds. You could do it so only the Alpha and Luna know about this as well, so that anyone trying to get their lie past us, would be quickly and easily detected by yourselves. Before that shewolf is even approved to come here for the implant go and investigate the reason why she’s doing it punish her for it if it’s evil intent.

Gretta nodded as she thought about it. Actually, that database would resolve a lot of the problems I foreseeand work in with your own clauses, Maddie, that to even get this piece of tech, add a clause that they have to go through their own Alpha or Luna, or in a case like Mischa’s directly through us at the Wolfen Council, bypassing the Alpha and his second Luna. She nodded. Finally they were all on the same page and Mischa knew it.

So, the verdict on doing this?Mischa asked.

I’m going to preapprove this one case, but no others until that database is up and running, and I’ll want all shewolves involved given the option of the implant when it comes into fruition, or to remain with the imbued moonstone. There has to be full open disclosure between the shewolf, the Wolfen Council and your pack Slade. Aubrette, you will submit documentation directly to myself on every imbued stone you create, including a photo of the stone set in the piece of jewelry you create, for the shewolf to wear. We at the Wolfen Council will want to know what the item looks like and keep a record of the imbued item.”

Happy to do so, Alpha Gretta,” Aubrette stated. “Mischa has already chosen her moonstone item, a bangle.

Mischa held it up for Alpha Gretta to see it was already on her wrist. I consent Alpha Gretta, to this being the imbued item to stop my heat, to have Aubrette use a drop of my blood to activate her fairy magic and tailor it to me specifically. So no other can use this item or be affected by it,Mischa stated.

Gretta smiled and nodded. Accepted Luna Mischa. Put that in writing, though for me, the exact wording; it’s perfect. Slade, you may disregard my added clauses when I send this contract back to you in a few minutes.

I’ll sort out that database. It’s the best option for stopping ones trying to get their hands on something like this by deceit. Such as being ordered to go and get this for themselves by a higher ranking Mate to stop them from going into heat and seeing a bond dwindle away and that male rejecting his other Mate.

Like what Christy is trying to do, be the only Mate, is so selfish she can’t stand her own Mate having two Mates and his attention not always being on her. I could foresee some shewolves doing that, especially ones mated into the leadership of packs and wanting all the power for themselves,

It would be very effective in getting an Alpha to reject one of his Lunas on the basis that she’s infertile; simply because she doesn’t go into heat. That was my main problem with this particular thing coming about.

Seems to be resolved now because that clause, doing this of their own free will, will come into play. They’ll not be able to sign that or give their blood if they’ve been ordered to do this by someone trying to force their hand. Slade, you’ll be in charge of asking that very question

and

your Gamma will be right there to feel out that shewolf.

We can do that.Slade nodded.

Excellent, I’ll leave you to finalize that contract for Mischa. You have my approval to go ahead with this plan as soon as Aubrette is ready. Mischa.” Gretta looked right at her now. I want you to do something for me. If that shewolf, the other Luna in your pack, attempts to

kill

you, or have

your own Mate kill you from what I read, you will report that second attempt directly to Alpha Dennis, and he will come and deal with her himself. Along with your Mate if he dares to defend her. Do you understand me?

I understand, and I will do so, Alpha Gretta.Mischa nodded, though she didn’t like it, still wanted her own plans to come to fruition inside her pack. Though even as she thought about that, Gretta hadn’t stated she had to do it on the spot, and she could see a loophole there to be exploited.

A part of her wondered if she should go into law. She seemed to be able to see where things could be exploited to her benefit, which she knew lawyers did all the time for their clients. Though even thinking about that, did she really have time to study? Not right this very minute in time, but once Christy’s Luna Lessons were over, she would have.

She could, she supposed, look into that very thing. Maybe start a degree next year do it parttime, not fulltime. She wondered if she could get that passed Anthony. She was the pack’s accountant and could just sign herself up and approve the payments and all without him knowing about it

She sighed internally to herself as much as she liked the idea of him not knowing about her studying law, if she kept it from him, as well as the use of pack funds that would make her no different to his parents. So, no, she’d tell him what she was planning. He didn’t have to approve of it. Just be informed about it. She was the Luna of the pack, and it was actually her job to approve that particular thing, along with approving the pack paying for it.

She smiled to herself, yes she would take up studying law when Christy was finished her Luna training and was sitting in the seat, completely swamped with all she would have to do on a daily basis, likely to complain that it was too heavy a workload and needed Mischa to help her only to have Mischa stated I’m the packs fulltime accountant, and I’m studying a law degree, I don’t have time. I could do the job with my unit. Why can’t you do it? Why is it too much for you? Turn to Anthony himself and state so you want me to be the pack’s lead accountant, attend the Luna Duties that Christy doesn’t get to all alongside my studying a law degree.

He’d have no choice but to ask Christy why she couldn’t handle attending the Luna’s Duties when Mischa was always able to do so. Hell, she could point out that Simone handled them just find while Mischa wasn’t in the office at all for this week, she’d been gone now.

Everything she thought was finally starting to fall into place, and her future was being laid out for her to go off and live a life of her own choosing, she was going to call Alpha Nicholas when she got home and tell him she was going to study law.

Her thoughts kind of stopped there as she realized something. She actually kind of looked to Nicholas as her Alpha. That was a bit odd, she thought, but she knew he supported her and would encourage her to go out there and live her life to the fullest. Something all Alphas should do for their pack members.

That was going to tick Anthony off.
