CH113
She made her way to Alpha Slade’s office at 10am like he’d told her to, the night before, and he was there
sitting behind his desk, and Maddie and Aubrette were both in his office. She knocked lightly on his door
and he looked up at her and smiled “Come in, Mischa.” He waved her in “Have a seat here with Maddie
and Aubrette.”
She did, and he handed her a contract. One of three she could see was sitting on his desk waiting for her. He’d revised and created them as to what Alpha Gretta wanted she could see. “How’d Kaley work out?”
she asked as she took it. She was curious.
“Hmm, we don’t know yet. Although…” Slade smiled as his head tilted. “I’m going to say just fine they’re in
his room, have been all morning.”
She smiled. “Ah likely happy and…” she trailed off. ‘fucking stupid happily, Laud snorted.
“Mm, I believe so. Could well come out of that room marked and mated.” Slade smiled. “It’s up to them
not me.”
She nodded, each pack had their own rules around wolves taking a chosen, her eyes moved to the contract, and she read it through without skipping anything at all. She saw him slide the other two over to Aubrette, open to a page and knew that was just to speed up the process have Aubrette read and sign her section of it while Mischa read everything in full.
There were a few clauses written in from that meeting with Alpha Gretta, and on the imbuing page were the very words she’d state to Alpha Gretta about giving her consent for Aubrette to use her blood willingly. It was all part of the contract but had its own actual page with nothing else on it. She had to fill in her name in all the blank spaces and initial all the clauses to say she’d read and understood them. Four signatures were required for this page alone; Aubrette’s name was computer print already, seeing as no one else could do the imbuing, there was a line for the Wolfen Council Member and Alpha Gretta’s name and signature were already there as well, and a line that stated Witness signature. And one for herself.
“All the bases covered, I see,” she smiled.
“Yes,” Slade nodded. “I’ll sign the back of the last page as the Alpha to the pack.”
She nodded, “This is the official paperwork and why Aubrette’s name is printed permanently as a part of the document, but all others are handwritten in.”
“Correct. I sent them all to Alpha Gretta this morning for an E–Signing. She was waiting and interrupted her own class to sign it and send it back,” Slade told her.
“I appreciate that.” she smiled at him.

She initialled where she had to after reading through it and then signed her details onto the back page full as was listed out for her ‘Luna Mischa Trenery, Night Whispers Pack, North Dakota, 1st Mate and Luna to Anthony Trenery, bonded 22 1⁄2 years. She put her flourish of a signature right there, and then pricked her

thumb and pressed her bloody fingerprint to it to make it official.
Nothing was left to chance she could see, then she handed it to Slade to sign, and Maddie signed as the witness. All three copies were signed in the same manner, and she smiled as she handed that last one over. “All done,” she stated.
Slade checked them all over as he’d signed them himself to make sure nothing was missing and then slid
one copy back across his desk to her. “Your copy, Luna Miscita. I’ll keep one here, and I’ll courier one to
Alpha Gretta this afternoon for the Wolfen Council files with these photos of yourself and the bangle.” He
held up the photos Maddie had taken yesterday and she nodded.
“I dare say Gretta will e–mail you herself to confirm she got it. It will just be to you and no one else, seeing
as this is a private matter.” Slade told her.
“The council is good like that,” Mischa nodded.
“Good luck with the imbuing, Aubrette you’ll notify me when it’s done, please, and only then will i forward
the paperwork to Gretta.”
“Of course, Alpha.” Aubrette nodded and stood up. She looked at Mischa. “Would you like to walk down with me? It’s almost 11 now, and it’s a 45–minute walk to my place from here at a casual stroll. Solar noon is at 12:25 today. We can sit and I’ll make a fresh pot of tea while we wait for it to come about.”
“I’d like that, your garden felt lovely and calming to me.” She walked from the office with Aubrette. Maddie didn’t come with them headed for the Luna’a office. That surprised her a little.
“Maddie told myself and Slade what you, and she spoke of last night. It’s a good plan and I agreed to it this morning. It’ll just be you and I today if that’s alright.”
“I’m alright with that, and thank you for sharing your knowledge and being willing to help me, others from now on too.” Mischa stated.
“You should stop thanking me. I’m just helping as Selena wants me to. Do you like Chamomile tea? I picked fresh Chamomile flowers this morning.”
“I don’t mind it,” she nodded, “Does using your magic for things like this drain you much?” Mischa asked
curiously.
“Not really. I don’t do it all that often and it kind of comes naturally to me. I think my mother gifted me all her own magic essence when I was born as well, which helps.” Aubrette smiled.
“Wouldn’t that harm her?” Mischa frowned at her.
“She died giving me life. Something about it was the only way to protect me from my father; he’s an evil bastard and my life, to my mother, was worth saving. Fairy deaths aren’t really like most others either or not always… We can choose to just stop living, give our life essence back to the world we live in or to the sun god who created us, or to another living being. It’s considered a full fairy blessing. To my knowledge, it doesn’t even hurt,” Aubrette told her.
alt
“Your mother loved you with her whole heart.” Mischa nodded, to give up one’s life for another could only mean it was for love.
“Very much so.” Aubrette nodded. “I will live on and do good deeds in her name:
“No Mate for you being a sun realm fairy though, or not one you can meet, being from what you told me your Mate would be a Night realm fairy. That’s a little upsetting,” Mischa sighed.
“Hmm, I don’t know about that. There wouldn’t be a Goddess–Gifted fairy bloodline Mate, but I am also
half witch, so… it’s entirely possible there is a Fated Mate out here in this realm for me somewhere. I have
not asked Selena about it. I am not concerned about having a Mate, my garden makes me happy and
settled.
“I need nor want anything else in my life. I have many friends within this pack, and am comfortable and happy here with my life. Now I have a purpose as well. All the things one would contribute to the feeling of getting from a Goddess–Gifted Mate, I already have.” She smiled. “Don’t concern yourself with it.”
“Are you at all concerned about your father coming for you? You know who he is, you stated.”
“Not at all,” Aubrette shook her head. “My mother’s blessing hides me from him, and if he did somehow manage to come across me, he’s weaker than he once was. I’m also half royal blooded on my fairy side. “Got me golden fairy fire at the tip of my fingers. I can also produce witch’s fire and combine the two things into one.” She chuckled softly. “Let him come, I’ll set his ass on fire for what he did to my mother. I may look delicate and gentle to most, thin and maybe frail to some… but I am anything but.”
Mischa smiled and understood that “I look soft and gentle, and project I’m calm all the time, but there’s a fire that can be lit in me at times.”
Aubrette chuckled now, “Can be…” she looked right at Mischa. “I believe it is already lit, just… she tilted her head ever so slightly as she looked at her. “Set on slow burn, not full roar.”
They sat out in the back garden and drank tea, and when the solar noon came, Aubrette took that bangle from her and had Mischa prick her finger with a thorn from a rose bush, and it was the tiniest bit of blood, barely the size of a pin head that was touched to the moon stone, and she watched as Aubrette’s hand
glowed.
Then her eyes changed to a pinkish gold hue almost the color of rose gold, Misha thought, and the stone seemed to absorb that tiny speck of blood. The stone changed color to a soft pink and then, after several minutes, it returned to the natural white opalescent of the stone.
Aubrette’s hands stopped glowing, and she held the bangle out to her. “All done.” She stated with a smile.
“You didn’t even speak an incantation.” Mischa murmured as she took it and slipped it back on her wrist. It felt a little hot for a moment and then settled to its natural cool once more, so she knew it had been
affected.
“It’s not needed, is in my intent, most fairies don’t speak incantations or spells, to create the things they want.” She shrugged. “Most things we do are for the better of those that are around us, to make the land

more beautiful. Kind of comes naturally.” She shrugged it off.

“So, that’s it… no more four days of heat for me. Just one bout on the first day only.” She smiled as she
touched the bangle.
“Yes, just that one bout to activate the imbuing. But you have to be wearing it, of course, for it to work. It
handle will also work to stop a heat, mid–heat, if you want to trial being in heat for full, and see how you that with your Mate. If you get to the point where you want that, of course.
“Feel you can trust him not to abandon you, but again, if it gets too much, all you have to do is put it back on, and it’ll activate after the next bout and stop your heat. This will allow for ones such as yourselves to be in full control and set the amount of time you want to be in heat with your Mate one bout or two, a day or two days, increase them at your own pace until you’re comfortable letting your heat run it’s full natural
course.
“Also, save you from pain if, after he’s gained your trust, but then he chooses to abandon you once more later in life. You should keep it always, even if your bond works out and goes back to normal. Something I wish for you,” Aubrette told her with a soft smile..
