The Eclipsed Life of Luna Mischa (by Jennifer Francis) novel Chapter 127

She looked at him as she listened to him and then stated, I do have something for you and Christy. I brought it back from Obsidian. It was given to me before I opted not to come home to the pack with Brent. Dr. Dana informed me of another pack to go and seek actual treatment in as we were leaving Obsidian.

They had a better plan than Dana. She recommended them and will be working with them from now on. But now? After all that has happened today, she shrugged.

You should still give it to me, Mischa. We live very long lives are not even 5% of the way through our lives,

we will get through this with time. I am not willing to give up on us. I will help you if I can in any way that I can.” Anthony stated, After Christy is punished, please give whatever it is you have, to meNow, please

come outside and watch Christy’s punishment.”

Mischa didn’t really care to see it, it wasn’t going to change anything in her world, but she guessed it probably made Anthony feel like he was being proactive or something. Maybe it made him feel better to know he was doing something. Hell, for all she knew, it could simply be his way of trying to get her to stop being mad at him.

She’d given up trying to figure him out long ago, she followed him out of the packhouse to where the shaming posts were. He’d not called for a full pack viewing like the last time Christy had been punished. But she could see there were now a few pack members standing around wondering what was going on.

Clearly curious as to why Christy was once again out here shackled to a shaming post. They didn’t look to be going to walk away either, were going to stand and watch what was going on. Likely relay it to their friends and family as well.

She wondered absently if Christy had any friends inside this pack at all. She couldn’t recall the last time she’d seen that shewolf sitting around with a social group. Not at all since she’d been in the cells, she realized as she stood there. That was a curiosity for her. Was that why she always left the pack, to socialize, because she had no friends here inside the pack at all?

She knew she was seen with Anthony, and attended to her Luna Lessons five days a week currently, but that was itHmm, maybe that was why she was so desperate to cling on to Anthony. The girl had no friends here, because she’d likely insulted everyone or turned away from them herself if they pointed out she was getting between Mischa and Anthony.

The pack here was healthy, so it was likely they would mention it to her, that Christy was being unfair in pulling Anthony away from Mischa, something she understood would have seen Christy walk away from those wolves, likely see it as they were going to point it out to others, and she didn’t want that. She was too narcissistic to want friends that would point out her flaws.

She would likely only keep those around her that didn’t see it, or just didn’t care to point it out, probably why she had human friends that weren’t related to the pack in any way.

While they waited for Kendrick to come back with the Cat, she saw others start to mill about, and the way Christy looked to Anthony and then the pack members. As if to say send them away; he didn’t react to her

ط

imploring luck.

The whole pack knew Mischa had been gone for a week, and had only come back last night, and now here was Christy on the shaming post the very next day. She found Christy’s eyes on her, glaring at her for the punishment she was about to take, it seemed

I did warn you,Mischa stated simply, In the cells all those months ago, where I told you to change your ways. You even told the Elders upon your release that you would be a model pack memberSeems you’ve forgotten that over the past few months.

It does,Debbie stated flatly. Christy, the Elders and I have discussed privately what you’ve done this time, and, well, now you must bear the consequences of your actions always. So, from here on out, there will be 5 lashes out here on the shaming post for every single time you offend Luna Mischa and get caught

out in doing so.

Luna Mischa, if she offends you in the slightest, please inform one of us, and we’ll hold a full formal investigation into her actions over the offense. Order the truth from her and if it is seen that she did it on purpose5 lashes out here it will be, no ifs and’s or but’s. Those lashes will be dished out by one of us, the Elders of the pack, on the spot, regardless of if Anthony is here or in the city, has been informed of the incident or not,May stated.

There will also be one day on the shaming post for the offense as well, but we decided, seeing as 9 weeks in the cells doesn’t seem to have worked all that well, those days on the shaming post will accumulate, so one day for the first offense. If she dares to offend you again, she’ll get two days on the shaming post after her 5 lashes, seeing as the first day didn’t work to help her change her ways. And so forth, let’s see just how many days she’s willing to accrue out here,Allen stated.

It’s all on you now, Christy,Harvey commented, This here is your only warning. You can not blame anyone bar yourself for any further punishments. Everything will be investigated in full by the Elders. And if you think we are biased against you. I’ll have Alpha Dennis of the Wolfen Council come and preside over each investigation.

However, he’s quite busy running an Alpha College, the very one Anthony attended, and your behavior may see him come under Council scrutiny. If he can’t come and preside over the matter right away, you’ll have to wait out here on the shaming post until he does come. Those days won’t be seen as part of your punishment, just you’re waiting in custody for your trial, so to speak,” Ray told her.

It seemed Christy’s own plans were falling apart by the minute and Mischa looked at her now and really wondered if the shewolf thought, bearing the consequences of her actions now, was worth hanging onto the title of Luna, and keeping their Mate all for herself was really worth it. If it was Mischa, she’d just give it up and walk the hell away.

Rather than see herself on that shaming post and being lashed for simply offending another, and offending her could be a simple angry look or huff, she wondered if Christy understood that; that offense could be taking from many things in many varying ways, though there was no sympathy from Mischa. Christy had brought this upon herself, as far as she was concerned.

L

Anthous, do you wish to dispute the Elders decision over your second Mate’s punishment in the future?Harvey asked

No, there is to be no Teniency given. This, all that is happening now is at her own doing, she was warned back in November. Clearly, she did not heed the advice given, learn from her mistakes. So I agree, she needs to bear the consequences of her choices, actions and even the whatif’s of the possible outcomes of those actions from now on.”

Mischa watched as Christy’s eyes moved right towards Anthony, full of disbelief at what she was hearing being laid out for her inside this pack in the future. He didn’t smile at her, he was still all Alpha right now.

I am the Alpha to this pack and no one, even you, my Mate, will be above reproach, if you do not reform and learn from this. I will simply reject you. I will give you, as my Mate, a grace period of six months, to correct your ways in full.

So, until Mischa’s heat in November, that will be seen as a full year of grace all up, from the previous crime. I think that is more than fair. I understand it’s hard to change one’s nature without a reform school. There are, however, such things, and I could send you off to one if you’d prefer. They’re kind of like wolfen world prisons, I guess.

So if you still can’t correct your way of thinking, that only you should be my Mate, that you want Mischa to feel unloved and unwanted by me, and continue to try and take Mischa’s things from her, get between us. Then the moment Mischa’s heat in November is over, I will simply reject you and banish you from this

pack.

You were warned, and granted leniency onceNo more ever again. Fix your mindset or leave with nothing but what you came here with, an overnight bag with three outfits in it. You’ll not take your car, your clothes or Luna’s jewelry with you, all things bought with this pack’s money will remain here. Seeing as you’ve yet to earn a single dollar for the pack itself. Just spend it at will

Actually, I will revoke that card now. Until you earn the pack money, you can not spend pack money. You have enough things, and you don’t need anything more as far as I am concerned. If you want to purchase something, submit a request to the pack accountant, and it will be reviewed, to see if it is just a waste of money or actually important.

If you can’t see yourself becoming a good, decent and proper Luna who is accepting of your Mate, having another Mate who was here before you, and has more rights than you do, and will remain here at my side always. If you can’t truly be accepting of the Goddesswill for myself to have two Mates, then simply reject me yourself and leave. I will accept it and inform the allies of why you’re no longer here as my Mate in full, and you may return to your former pack.

Mischa nearly shook her head at his words. Again, he was transferring all the blame onto Christy. When he, too, was responsible for all that happened, she’d said as much in that office, that Christy couldn’t do any of this without him letting her. Though Christy having to come to her and ask to buy anything that would be fun for Mischa, Deniedwould be stamped on all requests she thought to herself, then it would land on Anthony’s desk with her big red stamp of Denied on it.

He can’t deal with being to blame, Laud stated.

No, I see now he can’t accept it’s his fault as well. Mischa agreed.

She saw the disbelief on Christy’s face turn to one of incredulity upon hearing her own Mate’s words. There was anger rolling off that shewolf a moment later, as she understood, she’d likely pushed him and his beast too far. And though she’d not actively meant to put Mischa’s life in danger, it could now be seen by him, that she could do so by simply not putting a call through. Christy had passed the test of intending to kill her, which Mischa knew was the only thing saving her right now.

But it was now proven beyond a doubt that Christy hated her, and she was doing everything she could to tear them apart, so she was his one and only Mate, just like Mischa had stated in that recording; she knew was Christy’s end game.
