She’d felt Christy on the move, had left the pack hospital in short order, she knew no one else could go and dispose of that syringe unless she wanted others to know what she’d done Mischa walked herself to the very corridor it was in and waited for Christy to corne through the packhouse
Smiled right at Christy as she came round the corner towards the bathroom, where Mischa was leaning on the wall by it, had positioned herself right there knowing that she wolf had hidden that syringe in there after using it, and was now off to check if it was still there, collect it and dispose of it.
Christy came to a halt as she saw her and Mischa smiled at her ‘Guilty aren’t we. Here to check if the evidence you stashed is actually gone or not? She laughed. ‘Paul’s got it. That’s who did the investigation into why you suddenly went into heat once more, where you’d been prior to it blooming in Debbie’s office… otherwise how could I be standing right here now, knowing you’d come here too. She smiled right at her. “1 wish you luck, Christy.” She stated
Then shot down the mind–link ‘Go and accuse the pack’s Gamma of setting you up. I think that will just see the Wolfen Council arrive, and it’ll be you verses Paul and all the Gammas; I think you’ll lose. She allowed
all of her amusement to flow down that mind–link.
She could feel the anger coming from Christy now and chuckled. “Want to risk offending me? I wouldn’t if ! was you, either out loud or down a mind–link. The Elders will be on you so fast it will make your head spin.”
She saw that she–wolf’s hands ball into tight fists at her sides, and laughed in full, “Oh, I got you over a barrel, nothing you can do right now will go in your favor. Even if you state I antagonized you, which i openly admit I did.” She pointed to her. “You’ll have to explain why I could, and your little secret will come
out.”
Mischa shook her head. “You thought you’d won against me finally, didn’t you? But you forgot one very important thing. Oh, actually two. One, you’re too dumb to outsmart me; I saw this coming six months ago and plotted and planned for it myself. Thank you for doing exactly what I knew you would.
“Two, you were so blinded by your need to have Anthony not tend my heat, as to stupidly involve an Elder in your plans; for one of them to be a witness that you didn’t do this to yourself,” Mischa snorted now.
“That Christy was monumentally stupid, and showed me you can’t actually see the holes in your plans, Debbie is not to be messed with. I thought you would have learned that from your last trip to the shaming post. Seen and understood, Debbie is the one to straighten you out. When she is informed of what you did, “Just what do you think will happen? I’m betting a duel to the death due to your involving her in your traitorous plot. She’s got a better bloodline than you, and still trains; in my group, not yours, I can’t even bring her down half the time. Because she also trains with her Mate, they enjoy going at it on the training ground as much as in their bedroom. Is trained by an Alpha at least twice a week” She clicked her tongue. “Fun it will be for me and Laud to watch your downfall. Oh… on that note, I’m not going to ask for your head, just banishment. I think that will be more fun for me,” she nodded. “I wonder if the Elders will agree

to putting a traitors mark on you too..” she thought about that. “I could ask the Wolfen Council for that,
“It’s not something really done anymore, bar the King’s Eyes, but… I think they just might agree, seeing as you can’t actually change your ways. When they read, you’ve been given chance after chance here inside the pack, but still are a traitor, and not only to this pack for your original crime, but your own Mate as well for trying to force us apart.
“Now involving an Elder in your plotting, against their own knowledge, just one black mark after another, I wonder how many more I can get you to make before I walk away from this pack in full.” She laughed softly, a little on the menacing side. “I won’t even have to be here for it, just send all I’ve documented to the Wolfen Council when I’m gone, and they’ll do what is expected of them, come here and investigate. I wonder what will happen to any pups you have with Anthony. Will they be marked traitors like you are as well?” She shook her head.
“It’s fun for me to let you destroy your own life. Likely the life of that pup you’re desperately trying to create with Anthony as well. If the mother or father is branded a traitor, Christy, what happens to the pups… I’m certain you know… they’re tarred with the same brush. You’re not even a mother yet, and already you’ve condemned any and all of the future heirs you’ll conceive to this pack. Because you’re so desperate to
beat me to it and get rid of me.”
She could see Christy was now just standing there, kind of dumbfounded by hearing all of this, and she smiled. “You thought getting rid of me would be good for you, the minute I walk away, Christy will be your utter downfall, unless you of course, give me no reason not to send that information to the Wolfen Council.” she stated and turned and walked off to leave Christy to her own thoughts.
It really was fun to torment the she–wolf, everything she’d said was the truth and Christy had to know it. The only way to see none of that information go to the Wolfen Council now was for Christy to really come at her and try to get rid of her. Let’s just see if this bitch had the balls to commit an act of actual full treason and try to kill her.
If she somehow managed to do it and harm Mischa to the paint, her heart actually stopped beating, and her filigree burned off her neck. Something like that couldn’t be done inside this pack, it would have to be done outside of it, which would simply go in Mischa’s favor once more. It could be seep ss an accident in the human world, but if Mischa woke up and there was no filigree, she was free to leave and there would simply be no body to be found.
She walked back to her office and sat down at her desk with those thoughts and realized she had to start prepping. She changed her NOK on her driver’s license and human world medical records show that Nicholas Frost was her stepbrother and to be called. Smiled to herself as she looked at it
No one in this pack would be notified if something happened to her out in the human world, she would literally vanish because Nicholas would come and claim her body, or collect her from the human world hospital, and he wasn’t about to inform Anthony of it. Not when he knew she was exiting her life here in Night Whispers.
She flicked him a quick text message, ‘Nick, my little brother, I’ve made you my NOK for the human world,
how’s my sister–in–law and my nieces and nephews doing?
actually called him Nick, always Nicholas. It was a mark of respect. But now things were different and
smiled at the wording of it. She never moving on, so she’d change that, speak with him as if he was her family. Seeing where he and Lucinda had opted to place her within their packhouse
‘Is that divorce coming soon little sister?@ Your family’s here and on your side. Nick Came the response Then she got a few pictures of his pups with either him or Lucinda. The kids are good he sent after the last picture
She smiled at his words and his response. He was happy to claim her as family it seemed, as much as she was him, and she knew he was on her side. He was good to his allies, could be a little more than arrogant around those that didn’t know him and appeared to be rude and all about himself, but when one got to know him and learn his story.
One could see why he was the way he was. He’d grown up in a hellhole of a pack, and didn’t let many into his heart and didn’t trust easily, because he’d been brought up in a place where not even family could be trusted, so earning his trust wasn’t such an easy thing to do.
Lucinda had more than challenged him and his ways. She’d turned him inside out and upside down, and he’d learned not only what a true mate bond was all about, but to love and trust. He’d had to learn the hard
way, but sometimes the hard way brought out the best in people.
She made her way to the dining hall at dinner time and came across Anthony and Christy sitting there. She watched Christy look at her and then stand up and state, “Mischa, I don’t know why I went into heat, it’s not normal at all, I did make sure Anthony went to you
Mischa raised an eyebrow at her words, but there were many in this dining hall, and they were now looking at the three of them. Ah, this was for their benefit, not Mischa’s. Christy was trying to look like she’d changed her ways was all.
“Did you?” she asked right back.
“Yes, of course I did. I told him many times to go and see you tend your heat. I’d suffer a bout or two alone,
#
г Christy stated, “I’ve learned from past mistakes, and I hope this shows not just you but Anthony, that I’m sorry, I was selfish and will not be like that again.. t know it’s going to be a long road for us to rebuild and establish trust between you and I, but we have long lives, and I’ll show you I have changed for the better. I hope we can become friends in the future.”
Mischa shook her head. “I’m not interested in being friends with you, Christy.” Mischa stated simply for all to hear, and moved on even as Anthony frowned at her response to Christy’s so–called offer of an olive
branch.
She also heard many in the room respond in only half hushed tones, “Too late for that“, “I wouldn’t either”, “Like anyone would believe that“, “What a crock of shit, just more lies.”
Mischa smiled to herself as she heard Christy start to sob and more comments about “Oh look, there’s the waterworks.” And then Christy was up and gone from the dining hall, Mischa heard her go, as she got food

and sat down at the Alpha’s table, right there with her girls.
She saw Anthony was looking in the direction Christy had gone, but he’d not gotten up, and his eyes moved back to her. She said nothing, hadn’t held back was all. It wasn’t her that had insulted his Mate, that was the pack members, and that showed him how they saw her.
