Mischa looked up as Debbie came into her office and closed the door behind her, “Christy is about to go into heat, Mischa. I’m informing you first, but I’ll document it after she does. Anthony and the unit are away up in Canada due home late tonight, I believe. He is going to freak out and not know which of you it is. Just giving you a heads–up, expect a sall.”

“What! About to go into heat?” Mischa asked, more than confused. None knew if a heat was going to bloom out of nowhere.

“Hmm, she got a helping hand, seeing as she likes going into heat every three months and made the stupid mistake of using me as an alibi for her last one. And when I realized that and understood just what she did, to go into heat. Well, I investigated myself, hunted down Paul and, well, what do you know, he had the very syringe she used to set me up to be her alibi.”

“Okay.” Mischa nodded. “Tell me what you did.” Though it sounded as if Debbie had just injected Christy with her own pheromones, she’d best get clarification of that.

“I ran a stealth mission back in May, and I had two offsiders,” Debbie chuckled softly. “Took May and Simone with me. Guess what we found in the Luna suite?”

“Hmm, more of her own heat pheromones waiting to be used.” Mischa smiled and shook her head, she’d warned Christy, that Debbie was not to be messed with.

“Yes. Guess what I took and, well, seeing as she’s studied so very hard, I thought I’d reward her. One should get a gift, don’t you think for becoming the pack’s Luna. It wasn’t just me either that gave her a gift,”

Debbie snorted.

“All three of you were there?” Mischa asked now.

“Yes, all of us were present for her to do her final test, and she was made to wait until it was marked. The stupid girl smiled at us all as if she thought we would be proud of her, because she appears to have turned over a new leaf. We’re not so dumb. Now you know yourself study silver is used for all tests, it was on her… She couldn’t even call for help,” Debbie snorted once more, and then just laughed outright.

“Simone stated ‘Debbie has a gift for you. May and I approve as pack Elders of this gift for you.‘ and the stupid girl actually thought she was getting a real present. Until May pulled that syringe from her pocket and held it out to her.

“It wasn’t lost on Christy what it was, because it’s not a syringe we keep in stock in the pack, and she backed up real quick. Only to go nowhere. Simone was by my office door, only one way in or out of my office. I smiled at her not so nicely and told her ‘You shouldn’t use me for an alibi, I’m a bitch that bites back.

“And May uncapped that syringe even as Christy started yelling for help. We flooded our auras over her and down she went. No backbone, that one, I tell ya.” She waved a hand in the air, “then I injected her with my gift: her own pheromones. She stared at all three of us and told us it was treason to harm her

“We laughed, Mischa, so damned hard…” she laughed now herself. “May fell over and tears rolled out of her, as I stated ‘Treason? Where’s your proof we did anything to you? It’ll be your word against ours. You blood work will show nothing. There will be no proof we did anything to you.

“Are you going to run off and call Anthony and tell him, three of the most trusted in this pack injected yo with heat pheromones? We’ll deny it in full are each other’s alibi, and well, now I’m here with you having fun and friendly Luna to Luna chat. I’m not anywhere near her.

“I believe May and Simone are headed for training with Harvey and Ray, as I sit here, we’re all covered jus like she was.” She smiled. “Then I told her to go ahead and demand her blood be taken for traces of introduced heat pheromones. There will be none.

“Then May informed her that her blood work would come back as all her others have, which if she sticks to her claim that we did this to her, that blood work she relied on to clear her name, will prove she injected her own heat pheromones into herself across both of your last two heats

“Because that’s what she claimed we did to her, and this blood work will be exactly the same as those across your two heats; and that is what you call treason.

“Simone then told her she’d not be able to talk her way out of it, and then we’d simply admit that we did it. So that we could prove it was what she did it in the first place. That it’s not treason on our part. It’s just us, the Elders, investigating in full what we believed happened and getting the truth of her constantly going into heat, had to use these means to prove it.” Debbie snorted, happy with her plan,

“It was brilliant, I tell you. She was then allowed to leave my office, and she ran all the way to her suite knowing what was going to happen to her, knowing that Anthony is also up in Canada, she has to suffer

now, like you did her unattended bouts for however long it takes Anthony to come home,

“We timed it perfectly, I think, and you, Mischa, are in the free and clear you knew nothing about what we did prior to it. She can’t even call Anthony and tell him to come home. She was going to go into heat, because why would she, and how would she know prior to it happening?

“Not to mention she’s already had three heats in the past nine months, this will be four, because Paul reset her heat cycle to start in November. His unit will all be there to hear it, and I’m damned certain Paul will hold in that laugh that will be itching to burst out of him, and state. Again, this will be the 4th time, Anthony, in less than a year; November, February, May and now August. What the hell is going on? “Then, while Anthony is rushing off to pack, Paul will likely call you or Carol and ask what the hell happened while laughing, knowing it’s likely one of you set something into motion, but then have to wonder why Christy did it knowing Anthony was out of the country.”

Mischa shook her head. “You bite hard, Debbie.”

“Yep, I got myself a lock jaw bite. Once I latch on, I ain’t letting go.” She nodded. “Come and have afternoon tea with me.”

“Sure. I’ll call the unit. Who do you think she’ll link to about being in heat and needing drugs to help with it? Damned sure it ain’t going to be me.” She asked and got up.

“Who the hell knows, probably go straight to Brent, Debbie commented.

“Oh, I don’t know if he’ll help her right away. She tried to dump him in it back in November, and he’s not forgotten that,” she stated.

“Guess we’ll have to wait and see.” Debbie smiled.

They made their way down to the dining hall to have afternoon tea, and she collected herself two pieces of cake and sat down. They were still there when her phone rang, it was Paul, and she showed it to Debb Who nodded. “I guess he felt it and called Christy before you.”

“Probably.” Mischa nodded and answered the phone.

“What did you do?” Paul asked and there was amusement in his tone.

“What do you mean?” she asked right back.

“Oh, come on, you and the girls definitely did something.” Paul chuckled

“Nope, we did not. What’s going on up there?” she asked right back.

“Christy called Anthony, we’re between meetings right now, or were, she went into heat while they were talking. Anthony explained that to the secretary here, and her Alpha pulled our meeting forward, We’ll be headed back directly after that meeting is over, about 30 minutes.

There was silence for a moment, “Oh I see. Someone older than you is involved.”

She heard Debbie chuckled and knew he’d caught on and didn’t even care. Debbie and the others had it all figured out if anyone accused them of doing this to Christy. Christy would be the one to be seen as in the wrong in the end, they were just proving how it was done was all and nothing more. Something well within their rights as Elders investigating a crime against the Pack’s Luna.

“How can you speak freely like this?” she asked curiously.

“Anthony went into that meeting with Kendrick early. I’m not with any of the unit. Sitting in the car, I told Dereck he’d better load us up on snack foods for the trip back. He’s gone down the street to not only buy coffee but get food as well. I also told him I’d call the pack and see just what the hell was going on. It’s fine.”

“How long since she went into heat? I’ve not heard anything,” Mischa asked.

“Hmm, like… 15 minutes,” Paul answered. “I guess she’s not told anyone. Would Brent tell you.”

“His likely,” Mischa nodded, but there was nothing yet. Did that girl plan to just suffer through it and tell no one at all? She thought about that and what it would do, make Anthony feel guilty for being so far away. and he’d be extra attentive to her when he got home even after the heat was over, because he wasn’t going to want her to become like Mischa

“Put a call into Brent yourself and tell him Paul. Then log in by remote and document that, cover all the bases on this one,” she told him.

But got nothing in return, and she sat and waited as she realized he was probably connected to one of the units, seeing as there was nothing in the background and the call was still connected.

It was a few minutes before he spoke again, “Alpha Willian owns a helicopter and is going to send Anthony and Kendrick back on it to help. It’s always on the roof of his head office, ETA is now about three hours. give or take. Dereck and I will take a casual drive home and arrive somewhere around midnight.”

“Alright, drive safe,” she stated and ended the call.
