The Eclipsed Life of Luna Mischa (by Jennifer Francis) novel Chapter 153

CH 153

She had nothing to do with what had been done to Christy, and simply stayed out of it, though she also knew that Christy didn’t mention what the Elders had done either. Kept her mouth shut on it because if she reported them, they’d out her in full, and she’d be branded a full traitor and her head would come off.

The only thing that changed for Mischa was that Christy was now in the Luna’s office and once again held the title of Luna, which she saw with Christy right there next to Anthony. He had actually seemed to forget about her altogether once more. He didn’t mindlink to her for anything, though she got an email from him that stated she must reinstate Christy’s pack card.

The wording of it was quite rude, and she leaned back in her seat and wondered if it was Anthony himself that had written it? Though she doubted it, she would do it. What did it matter to her? She walked into his office the following day before she left the pack to pick up her new car

He wasn’t there, and she placed that email on the desk for him along with the approved stamp from herself, and then turned and walked from the office, only to hear Christy state, What are you doing in Anthony’s office?

Your pack card has been approved. I’m simply putting the approval on his desk as is required of me. Seeing as he requested it. On that note, I didn’t actually change your card, I just changed how it can be used and attached it to the pack funding account. So it’s active as of now. Go shopping and spend at will,

she answered and walked off.

She walked out of the packhouse and went to pick up/her car. She smiled as she looked at her new car. She’d gone out and bought it as a birthday present før herself, though she’d not been able to pick it up for her birthday, seeing as she’d opted to choose her own color, and had to wait for it to be delivered to the

dealership.

She stood now smiling at it, an MG Cyberster Convertible in Dynamic Red. She ran her hand along it, like this car more than a little, had done one thing over the course of the past few months to interact with message about her finally getting a new car. She’d timed it perfectly, to when Anthony, she’d sent him

he’d been out having lunch with Christy on Mischa’s actual birthday.

I’d like to get a new car. I did put that off, so Christy could get hers when you scented her out. Today is my birthday and seeing as you’ve opted to spend my birthday with Christy, and appear to have no intention of even saying Happy Birthday, I’ll go and do that myself.

He’d taken almost 30 minutes to respond, Get what you like, use the pack funds. A proper Luna’s car. I’m not with you for your birthday because you wouldn’t want that. Have rejected all my attempts for even so much as a meal. If you want to have dinner, we will. Just tell me that is what you want and I will make it happen.

She couldn’t argue with that one but had just gotten permission to use the pack funds to buy it, so she had done so. Gotten herself the topoftheline model and shelled out 77 thousand dollars of the pack’s funds for it. She would take it as compensation for all he’d let Christy do to her.

She hadn’t even traded in her Volvo to lower the price, had simply driven it to a secondhand dealership this morning on her way here and sold it to them, had that money placed in her personal bank account that she’d opened separately from the pack.

She’d driven her new car home to the pack and placed it in the garage where she would normally park her car, and had returned to her office to sit and transfer ali her own money earned by the pack into her new human world account. She’d worked months of overtime and paid herself accordingly for those 60 to 80 hour weeks.

She had built up a nice little nest egg for herself. She didn’t show that car off, but the girls all knew she’d bought it and had gone and looked at it. She’d canceled her pack’s Luna card. She didn’t need it anymore, she would pay herself directly into the human bank account from now on. And she did the paperwork to cancel it and then put that card through the shredder. Then fired off two emails, one to Anthony and one to Christy about the canceling of her card.

Then she logged into her own file and wrote a note, marked it as, Accountant Business: Luna pack card ceased as I am only the pack’s Accountant now. Alpha and Luna of pack were notified as per protocol. It

was short and to the point.

She’d made sure not to be seen over the past month, actually actively kept out of sight, ate in her suite, and stayed away from Anthony and Christy, though she knew what was going on because her Luna’s Unit and Paul were keeping her in the loop. Anthony and Christy were living together fulltime in the Luna Suite.

Her unit had opted to follow Paul’s idea of only working when Christy worked. Carol’s desk had been removed from the Luna’s office altogether because Christy had no Gamma. Paul wouldn’t even acknowledge her. Even when she spoke to him or asked him to do something, he simply stated, I’m not your Gamma to boss around. I’m Mischa’s go out in the pack and find another to be yours.

Which had pissed Christy off, and she’d gone to Anthony about it, to which Paul had pulled up the log from November and showed Anthony where Christy had verbalized her not wanting him to be her Gamma. Told him, Christy stripped me of being that 10 months ago. That is also why Carol is no longer in the Luna’s office. If I’m not Christy’s Gamma, then Carol is not part of her Luna’s Unit. I believe Carol moved herself to the accounting firm the day Christy moved into the Luna’s office. She may go and find another Gamma, one to her liking. He’d also documented it in his own file for her to read.

As had Paul’s little sister Louise when Anthony had gone to her and asked her to be Christy’s Gamma, gone to her because Louise pulled Gamma Duties inside the pack when Paul wasn’t there. Was the second inline.

Louise had logged her interaction as Formal Documentation as 2nd Gamma Heir to pack: Alpha Anthony came to me today to ask that I take up the role of his second Mate, Christy’s official Gamma….I found that odd, and to which I was also offended by, seeing as my older brother Paul has been the Alpha’s loyal Gamma to this pack for over two decades,

Paul has no black marks against his name. Luna Mischa, Anthony’s first Mate and Luna, has also trusted him wholeheartedly for the entire time she has been Anthony’s Luna (23 years now).

My response in full: None here will be Christy’s Gamma. She has traitorous tendencies on the record for this pack, as the entire pack is aware of. Christy, to my knowledge, has also declined the pack’s loyal Gamma to be hers. I was in the room for that, as were the Elders back in November, Alpha,

Why did she do this? There, to my knowledge, was no reason for it other than he was simply doing his job? Has Paul ever done anything wrong to Christy? Has she ever even filed a complaint with you or any in your unit? With the Elders about him?No, Alpha, she has not.

So why did Christy reject him as her Gamma? wonderI also know from the Elders who I work under that she insulted all the Gamma bloods within this pack. By her not wanting Paul to be used in the last formalized meeting, you yourself held over what she did to Mischa, in her efforts to be your one and only Luna, again on the record for the pack.

She was offered to have all Gamma’s in the room was she not, but she wouldn’t have any of us in the room because she believed we were all bribed I guess you could say into turning against her. Which, as you know, reads between the lines as meaning she didn’t want any of us to be in there for her. Therefore, Alpha, she has rejected all of us as her Gamma.

Christy simply doesn’t want a Gamma near her to feel her out on any given day, is what that implies, and I wonder why? So, no Alpha none here will take up the role of being her Gamma because she doesn’t actually want one, and she has made that plainly clear.

Paul is good at his job, loyal to the pack, has been by your side since childhood, and you see nothing wrong with him, yet you are now out looking for his replacement. And why? Because Christy wants that

and nothing more.

The Alpha stood staring at me, unhappy about my explanation. I stood my ground without blinking, until he

walked away,

My personal thoughts on the matter: I will not yield. I love, respect and trust my brother’s devotion to all of this pack’s members, young or old, regardless of rank. I, however, fear Paul’s demotion is coming. simply because Christy is now targeting him and wants to get rid of Paul from the Alpha Unit.

Because he is a loyal Gamma to the pack, and not solely loyal to her, he is not willing to ignore or hide what she plots and plans. Knows he will investigate in full and defend the innocent, look to have the guilty punished regardless of rank. I fear this pack will fall apart if Luna Mischa leaves.

It had been an interesting read and Louise had mindlinked to her to read it, and then stated, What I didn’t put into my notes, but I know, Mischa, is that every Gamma inside this pack will refuse the role, regardless of what they tell him as to why it’s a no. the actual reason is because they all know Christy will turn on them and lay blame on them if she thinks it will save her own ass.

Mischa also believed that about the shewolf, she’d thanked Louise for her loyalty to her brother and to the Gamma’s bloodline. Then she’d sat and read the log and was now just thinking about that last line I fear the pack will fall apart if Luna Mischa leaves.

She connected herself to Paul, Hey, how’s your day going?

CH 153

I’m fine, Anthony’s not having a good day and Christy is fuming, Paul stated.

Louise’s last thoughtshe sighed. Alpha Nicholas has expressed to me that anyone wanting to leave may go directly to his pack and he’ll take them in.

Hmm, likely to see his pack grown even larger and the easy way. When did he say this? Paul asked.

Long ago, she answered.

There was silence for a long time He’s likely already prepped and had homes built as well then. It’s what any Alpha offering sanctuary would do, waiting for the collapsing of another pack. Especially and Allied

one.

I still think you and Carol should come with me. If notmaybe go to Nicholaspack. You wouldn’t hold the title butI think Christy is now going to target you specifically as well, now that I’m fully out of the picture.

She heard him sigh, but he said nothing, and she let him close out the link.
