Misha

Misha had taken her moonstone bangle off to attend this run. It was the only time she took it off when shifting to Laud. It did not stretch or expand to accommodate her during shifting, and she knew it wouldn’t fit around the ankle of her beast either.
So the only times it wasn’t worn was when she let Laud out, every few days or for Laud to curl up on her bed, and they’d slept with the windows open. It was coming into the cold months once again. Laud she found, enjoyed sleeping stretched out on or curled up on her bed, and she’d continued to do so over the course of the year that had passed.
It was soft and comfortable and so, even though that bitter winter had passed last year, and they’d allowed the freezing cold to leech into them and freeze their own Hearts into a block of ice, if her wolf wanted to be out and sleeping in wolfen form, Misha hadn’t seen a problem with it, if Laud wanted to sleep on the bed then that was where she would sleep.
She’d removed that moonstone bangle and placed it on her bedside table before coming down for the pack run, to be put back after showering and changing but before going to sleep when she returned to th
suite.
She’d not been wrong in her assessment of what was under Alpha Declan’s shirt. He’d been standing out there tonight for that pack run in just a pair of black shorts, and his massive muscular chest was on display, as had been that eight pack she’d imagined he’d had as well.
‘Damned Alpha genes’, she thought absently, to herself as she looked him over, he was like a solid wall of muscle standing up there. She’d not really looked at any wolves with a view to assessing them for hotnes over the past 23 years, because she was mated, and therefore it never concerned her to look at others.
However, this man was smoking hot and she kind of couldn’t help herself but look him over and realize just how much better looking some Alphas were compared to the Alpha she was mated to. Anthony was tall but not that tall. He was muscled up with a six-pack, but she knew nothing like this Alpha.
If she stood them side by side, Anthony would look like a warrior in training. She had to shake it off, ‘You’re drooling, Misha.’ Laud snorted, amused inside her mind.
‘Hmm, I guess I am.’ She admitted; she’d not looked at anything in 23 years and now, as far as she was concerned, she was allowed to look… no, not allowed… Chose to look because she didn’t love nor care about the one that was attached to the filigree on her neck anymore, and neither did her own wolf, which allowed her to actively look at others with a view, she supposed of being attracted to them.
Then they got their first look at Declan’s large Alpha Wolf just a few minutes later and, true to its bloodline, it stood a full head and shoulders above all the wolves out there, including those of his own unit. That big beast dwarfed everyone else’s wolves.
He was 90% black with a smattering of white bridling along the back of his neck and shoulders and his wolf. She felt it had Laud’s undivided attention as well. This was going to be their Alpha at some point in time. When that day came that she allowed Declan to initiate them, that would happen when Anthony realized she’d left him and when that moment came.
She’d prove it to him by being severed from his pack, but not himself, for him to feel and fully realize that
CH 175
he had no idea where she was, or even when she had left him. Feeling that should make him realize all he’d lost, proving to himself and his misguided belief that he still loved her, and was just giving her the
space she needed.
That he in fact did not love her at all, because he had no idea that she had left him, not even how long she’d been gone from him. He knew nothing, she’d been gone for a solid week now, and still he was under the misguided belief she was just in Nick’s pack. He had probably deluded himself into thinking she was actually prepping that alliance deal with Nick.
Just wasn’t going to enact it until he turned up and had Christy apologize for her severing of the pack alliance and the disrespect towards Lucinda. He probably thought it would be ready to be signed as well, that she was just holding out on him, to force him to make Christy apologize.
He knew she was efficient and therefore her being in the Rising Blue Lotus would have hirn thinking she was in fact trying to keep the peace and helping the pack. Fixing Christy’s mistake, but wasn’t admitting to it, because she always put the pack first. How wrong he was right now.
She didn’t know what Nick was planning, but she didn’t think Christy could get anything past him or Kevin, not when she was going to be made to kneel and not only before Nick, but Lucinda and both their units as well.
They weren’t even going to be allowed inside the pack. Christy would be made to kneel outside the gates in full view of those coming and going. The gate guard and that wasn’t going to be something she would like doing, would hate it and therefore trigger her anger about others humiliating her.
That wasn’t something Christy could accept. She believed she could humiliate others, but none could do that to her because she was the Alpha’s Mate, was above all that, even with all the punishment she’d received over the past year, she still thought she was above the law. Being humiliated would see her be unable to apologize in full, because she didn’t think she had to in the first place.
Everything was going to come crashing down on Anthony because of Christy, just like it had been written in Louise’s final note to the pack: ‘I fear this pack will fall apart if Luna Mischa leaves.’ Now it was falling apart, although that had started before she left. But now she was gone in full, and it was going to seem that with her gone the pack had fallen apart.
He had no one to blame bar himself, though she was certain He was going to blame Christy and not accept the fact that it was his doing. He couldn’t see that anything was his fault, likely even her leaving him without him knowing. He’d deny it was his doing. Hell, he’d probably tell her it was her fault, because she was the one that actually left. He was still there waiting for her to come back around to him. She shook that thought off. What did it matter what he thought anymore!
Her own wolf she realized was looking at Declan’s beast as much as Misha had Declan himself. ‘Now who’s drooling?’ Misha teased her own wolf.
Declan’s wolf let out a loud howl and the pack howled with him, and then they were off running through the woods. Laud snorted at Misha’s remark, and then she ran off to join the pack run. She was happy to be out in the woods, running freely, stretching her legs and just enjoying the feel of the forest around them.’ Feel better when we initiated into pack. Laud told her later on as the pack run died down and turned to the wolves who were just playing amongst themselves.
‘Agreed, we’ll have a good connection to the land then and all the other wolves too.’ Misha stated.
But that didn’t seem to be problem at all, for she found many of the not fully realized wolves in their

bloodline around her, drawn to the Luna bloodline she carried, and she knew it. Children and teens were always drawn to her, or to Lunas if they were open and caring towards a pack that accepted them wanting to be there.
All the things that Misha did, Laud was happy to jump about and play with them, showing them she was friendly and of no threat to them, happy to interact with them even though she wasn’t part of their pack, officially. She did know Declan had announced her to them all, informed his pack she was part of the pack even though she didn’t hold a pack scent. He’d likely told them it was just a matter of time, and to treat her no differently to any others living inside the pack.
It was a night of fun, and she and Laud had not a single care in the world for anything other than just being who they were for the moment. A wolfen folk happily interacting with other wolves of their new pack. She watched them all run off a little while later and Laud scented out her own clothes, arrd they shifted and changed into them, only to find Declan watching her. She smiled at him as stre zipped up her dress, Everything go well?” he asked her.
“Yes, your teens are very friendly.” She smiled.
“Gravitated right to you.” He nodded.
“Hmm, it’s a Luna thing, is all. Everywhere I go, I attract pups to children, teens.” She nodded. “It’s completely normal because I am open to accepting them being around me, regardless of whose pack I’m
in.”
“Hmm, I saw it once before,” He nodded. “You and I were both in the Obsidian pack at the same time, earlier in the year. A few of those teens were mine?” he smiled. “They were both in that group you were playing with, and when I announced you to the pack they asked me directly if it was you from Obsidian, I said yes.” He chuckled. “They were very happy to hear that. “You’ll likely find yourself trailed by them.”
She stared at him for a moment, but she couldn’t recall him. She had been there for her own reasons, not to interact and meet new people, was preoccupied with her own plight. She let it go, it was what it was,” Bound to happen anywhere I go. It’s fine.”
“You know I don’t have a Luna here,” Declan stated as they walked together into the packhouse.
“I’m aware,” she nodded.
“If you find yourself doing Luna Duties because of the teens or pups, let me know, I’m not going to solicit you for that, you’re here to rest, recuperate and relax. Not pull Luna Duties, which i now foresee the teens might want.”
“Hmm, again unavoidable.” She nodded. “I’ll answer questions if they have them, but I will direct them to Kitty, Serena and Carol for all major things that need documenting. I will not lead them astray or guide them against your pack’s rules and laws.” She assured him.
“I never thought for a single second that you would. I was going to suggest that you should redirect them to the unit or politely remind them that, yes, you’re a Luna, but not this pack’s Luna… Though if you’re willing to sit and talk to them like you did in Obsidian, then feel free to do so, those wolves of mine were very happy after talking to you.” He smiled down at her.
