Anthony
He’d stopped the car only once on the way to the Rising Blue Lotus; when Christy had again tried to tell him she thought she was miscarrying, he’d pulled over and looked at her. “Really,” he’d taken a deep breath in and stated “I smell no blood, Harvey and the Elders told me to expect you to try and pull something to get out of going and apologizing, is this it?”
He’d sat staring at her. “Let’s wait, and if say, in 15 minutes there is no blood or miscarriage, we’ll reject each other, and you can get out of this car and walk away, seeing as you can’t actually be the Luna you want me to believe you are. Because all Luna’s know when to apologize and why they are doing it is so important.”
She’d sobbed. “My stomach hurts.”
“It’s just growing pains,” he’d told her. “Like it was the last time.”
She’d gotten in the car in the pack without much fuss at all, though the Elders had been there watching. Now none of them were here, and they were just about halfway to Nicholas’ pack. “I don’t know if it’s that.” She muttered.
“Well, are you still willing to continue on, to apologize or not? If not,” he reached past her and opened the door from inside the car. “You can get out now.” He’d stated, and she’d turned wide eyes upon him, and then he’d watched as tears had welled up, and he’d raised his wrist with that oath band on it.
“Do you recall what this is about? Why I had it put on me?” he told her. “If you’re about to cry and say I don’t love you or don’t care about you and or that pup/To just reject you, I will, the oath will make me do so. So again, get out of the car,” he stated as he’d stared right at her. “Make your choice.” He’d bitten out because he understood this very minute, she was faking it as the elders had stated she would.
Her eyes had turned away from him, and she’d muttered, “I’m not going to say that, just drive.”
“You’re not in pain or having a miscarriage then? Are all good to travel now,” he stated flatly.
“Must have been growing pains,” she stated and reached over and pulled the door shut.
He knew there was nothing wrong with her. Harvey was right about her simply not wanting to apologize, and he’d proved it easily by telling him what he expected Christy to do to try and get out of going there and her actually doing it.
“There will be no turning back, Christy. If you actually do miscarry, so be it. It will be your own fault anyway You say it’s too stressful, yet you were the one that created this mess. I now see you either did it on purpose or you expected Mischa to clean up after you.”
“I didn’t do it on purpose,” she muttered. “I was simply not in the know of that accounting agreement.”
He nodded as if he understood but no longer cared to hear this from her. “But you were the mating ball clause and still actively decided to go against it.”
“It’s just one ball. I didn’t see a problem with it.” She shot at him.
“Hmm, because you’re not a good Luna.” He stated uncaringly. “Mischa is 100 times the Lunia you are.”

“Oh she’s so great to you, out there fucking someone else how many times today. Betrayed your Mate Bond In full. That’s grounds for a rejection,” she snapped at him.
He snorted, “Oh, is itt Or was 1 accepting of the Elder’s decision six months ago to allow someone else to mate her through her heat, because of her affliction, which was set off by whom? I’m not upset with Mischa in the slightest for what happened today. I understand why, accept it and knew it was coming to be honest.”
He could feel her eyes upon him now. “So, what you’re just going to let her fuck around on you for what? However long it takes for her to come back to you? Are you insane?”
“It’s what I owe her, seeing as what you had me do to her.” He bit out. “So I’d advise you to never bring up my rejecting of her. It will never happen, you’re more likely to be rejected than she is, for harming a pack alliance and not being responsible for it. Refusing to apologize and delaying it at every turn.
“If you weren’t pregnant right now, I’d likely have rejected you already, so I advise you to keep that baby in your belly if anything happens to it, and you blame someone else for its death… Say Mischa, I’ll reject you on the spot.”
He’d felt her eyes on him. “Yes.” He nodded. “I’m going to contain you at every turn and if you so much as step out of line, the moment that pup is out of you, I’ll issue that rejection. You’re clearly still wanting me to give to Mischa, so you can be the one and only Luna on my arm.
“If you voice so much as one bad word about Mischa from here on out, I’ll reject you for it. I’m done saving your ass because you’re my Goddess-Gifted. No more will I cling to that. You’re my Mate until you do one more thing wrong. Then all your debts against myself, Mischa and the pack will fall upon you. You’ve got two hours before we arrive at Alpha Nicholas’ gate. I suggest you learn to repent and actually be remorseful before we get there,” he muttered.
She’d not said a single word for the rest of the trip, because he had a feeling she knew he meant it. He also did know she was desperate to get rid of Mischa. He’d never wanted to believe it, but these past weeks of her not being in his suite with him, had kind of cleared his head. Her words here in this car about how he had a right to reject Mischa, why would she even bring that up right now unless she was trying to get him to.
Her tears hadn’t fallen in this car. They’d brimmed, but then vanished with his laying it all out for ber. She had nowhere to go right now, he’d backed her into a corner and done it on purpose as well. He would be holding her accountable is what it showed her. Holding that band out to her reminded her he would reject her if she fell back into her old habits.
He’d gotten it to try and stop her from using that on him, but it had been months now, and she had seemingly forgotten it was there. Needed that reminder, if she wasn’t pregnant he’d likely have let her state those words and issued that rejection, brought her to Nicholas and shoved her in front of him to prove he’d dealt with her by rejecting her.
He pulled up at the gates and the guard told him there would be no access to the pack, they were no longer affiliated. Any and all conversations would be held here at the pack gates. There was nothing he could do about it, all Alphas would do the same. He parked the car and got out, walked around and opened the passenger side door. “Out,” he’d stated.
“They’re not even here yet,” Christy muttered.
“No, they’re not, but you will be kneeling when they arrive. Go and kneel,” he’d stated.

“I’m pregnant.” She gasped.
Yes you are, and you sit around all day. What’s the difference between that and kneeling? Nothing, it’s just a different sitting position. I’ve never heard of anyone suffering a riscarriage from kneeling.” He reached into the car and hauled her out, and over fo the gate. Pushed her down to kneel, then stood and waited.
She couldn’t say anything to him about him being cruel or mean, or that he didn’t care about her, it would activate the oath, and he’d reject her, so she would kneel right there on the road for all to see. He heard the first sob come from her ten minutes later and ignored it. His eyes were on the pack before him, he’d already breathed in a few times trying to pick up Mischa’s scent, he was going to ask to speak with her, lay eyes on her. He wanted to see if she was alright, tell her he understood why she’d let another touch her and that he didn’t blame her.
But that would only come after Christy had apologized in full. Only then would he bring Mischa up with Nicholas. He didn’t even yet know if he had the full story from Paul or Mischa herself. She’d yelled at him over the phone, and it was entirely possible Nicholas could have been right there to hear it.
He saw the cars coming down the road and waited. He’d not announced he was coming, just dragged Christy here, the moment Mischa’s heat was over as the Elders expected him to, and they would all likely know that as well.
He watched as Nicholas, Lucinda and both their units got out of those cars and the gates slid apart, as they all walked towards them but never stepped outside of it.
“I wasn’t expecting you,” Nicholas stated simply as his eyes moved from a kneeling Christy to Anthony. What’s she crying about?”
“I don’t know,” Anthony answered honestly, and he didn’t understand the tears. “It’s just an apology.”
Nicholas nodded. “Why did you come unannounced?” he asked before Christy could get any words out.
“I should think part of that would be obvious after the events of today,” Anthony sighed.
“Events of today? Explain that to me, nothing unusual happened inside my pack, that is related to your pack.” Nicholas smiled at him. “Everything and everyone here are all good. Lucinda?” he questioned.
“All our pack members are content and happy, nil reports of anything out of the ordinary.” Lucinda stated He held in the sigh that wanted to escape him. Mischa wasn’t their pack member, and they were deliberately talking like this to keep her off the table and what had happened that they knew about, knew what he’d suffered and were uncaring of it, thought he deserved it in all likelihood. Which he had to admit he thought he did too. That’s why he didn’t blame her.
“We can discuss Mischa later, and I would like to see her after this is done, even if you have to have her come here to the gate; she is my Mate and Luna and you can’t keep her from me.”
Nicholas laughed softly “Oh Anthony, do you really think I’m keeping her from you on purpose? Perhaps she just doesn’t want to see or speak to you. That is a Luna’s prerogative when they are pissed off. I’d have thought you’d have learned that by now
“Seeing as she doesn’t live in the Alpha Suite, or the Luna Suite, last I heard Christy was in the Alpha Suite. moved in there when she finally managed to get pregnant. A suite I believe was yours and Mischa’s for 21 years, but you demanded she leave it, and so she hasn’t been there for what… 2 years now.”
