Five days passed, and it was time to release Christy from that shaming post, but that only came after she was made to be out there and watch on as Anthony suffered through that third lot of lashings on his second day of the nine days he was to spend out there, because he’d stated she had to have another day on the shaming post, for faking that she’d been flooded by an aura and forced to bow down.
Christy’s punishment to watch Anthony receiving 10 lashes every eight hours that first day, for him not attending to Mischa’s heat on purpose, because Christy had begged him not to go to her, had turned into two days of watching it.
Something that Anthony was reminded of each time they walked out there, so they both understood as to why the lashes were being dealt out. That he was being punished because of what Christy had wanted. What Christy had made him do to Mischa, those words were spoken by an Elder; it hadn’t been her request.
It was a further punishment from the Elders she knew, a way of them trying to make Anthony see what he’d done. That it was Christy who’d made him do it. That it was to also make him stop and think twice, about any words that Christy might say to him in the future, that would see him leave Mischa and go to Christy.
Make him think about this very moment and stop and think about if what he was going to do for Christy would harm Mischa or affect Mischa in any way. That he had two Lunas and wasn’t to favor one over the other. To try and get him to see if one Luna was trying to tear him away from the other and for no reason other than to have him stay with them.
Kendrick dished the lashes out at 6am, 2pm and 10pm as per the Elders requirement and Mischa stood out there for each and every lash given on that first two days. But she knew she wouldn’t be there for all of them over the course of the coming days, but she did want Christy to think that she was going to be.
It was snowing tonight and the floodlights of the packhouse had been turned on. There were a few wolves here watching this part of the punishment, though not many, but those lights highlighted Anthony’s blood on the snow–covered ground. Bright red streaks and droplets that came off his back with every lash he took with that Cat of three tails.
Once that last lot of lashes for that day had been attended to on the second day, Christy had been removed from her shaming post and Mischa had walked with Kendrick, Paul and Dereck as they escorted Christy to the cells and put her in one, and the door had been locked.
Then she waved the unit away. “I’d like a word with Christy privately, Luna to Luna please boys.” She stated, “You have the keys to the cell, so you know that no harm will come to her.”

They all nodded. It was true, Kendrick had locked that cell door himself, and he would be the one that held onto the key for the entire time that Christy was out here under her punishment. So that no guards could be made by Christy to let her out. That Anthony couldn’t go in there when his punishment was over either.
She stood and watched them as they turned and walked away down the long corridor, because Christy’s cell was right at the very back. She waited until not only were they up the stairs, but until she heard the door was also closed behind them. They understood what had gone on and that she’d not yet had words with this she–wolf, and it was her right as the Luna of this pack, to do so.
But making sure Christy was in a cell and the door locked, showed them she had no intentions of actually harming her.
Mischa turned and looked at Christy and saw a nervousness in her that she’d not seen before. Misha smiled at her, this she–wolf was about to learn how to really play the game. If she wanted a War of the Lunas, then she was going to get one. Mischa was done playing
nice.
It was Christy that spoke first, because Mischa just stood there staring at her silently to increase that fear she was picking up on. She could smell it now. Mischa was making Christy very uncomfortable just by staring at her.
“He’s going to hate you, Mischa, for doing this,” Christy told her as she turned and walked away from the bars of the cell, stepping out of reach, Mischa thought absently.
She wondered if this she–wolf would harm herself in order to try and frame her for an injury, now that the unit was not here to see them interact. She’d have to wait and see on that front, something like that would only be reported by this she–wolf after she left, and had no one to see her injure herself.
Mischa let that thought go, she could deal with that easily. There was a camera down here, and she could be seen, likely was being watched right now, by the unit from the guard station up there atop the stairs on the other side of that door.
Though she also knew they wouldn’t be so rude as to listen to her conversation, she’d stated privately, they wouldn’t listen in. She was intending to just stand there with her arms folded a full meter from the bars and look to be posing no threat.
“That’s his prerogative.” Mischa stated with a casual shrug, “What you missed when you left that war room before your punishment could be spoken of in full, was Anthony coming to the realization that I hate him…” she paused and let those words sink in for Christy.
She saw amusement appear on Christy’s face, and then she just laughed, as she thought

she’d won the game and just needed to wait until her punishment was over.
“You look very happy about that… Don’t get too cocky in there,” Mischa smiled. “He also begged me not to reject him when I stated we should do that. He made a deal with me… You want to know what it was?” she asked.
That happy look on Christy’s face was gone as she realized she was still out of the loop on all that had gone on. “He made me swear to the Goddess I’d never voice a rejection… I agreed. My word is good. I will never voice a rejection, and do you really think he will now? He was desperate to keep me here in this pack as his Luna, so much so that he was willing to take me lashing him with a Cat of five tails.
“It didn’t have to be me that did that… Kendrick, Paul or Dereck. One of the Elders even, could have done that. He accepted that I would do it because I told him the only way to keep me here, was to accept being punished by me and Laud personally.
“He’s well aware it could destroy our bond, but even knowing that, he accepted it, under his own condition, which was that I would swear to never reject him. So, you, Christy, won’t get what you want. I’ll always be here inside this pack. I’m also a better person than you are… in every way, and one day he’ll see you as I do.
“The door is now open and the light shines on what you did, and not only for him to see, but the entire pack. Do you really think he’s not, or Shade won’t realize you’re pulling him away from me on purpose now, when you go to him or ask him to stay with you? That they won’t stop and think about why you’re suddenly there, when I’m there, and you weren’t originally.
“He’ll have to make an informed decision about what he should do. Every single time he has to choose between you and I, because all of this, here and now. What do you think he will be thinking that I will do every time I, even so much as get annoyed at you interrupting even a simple conversation between him and I?
“When he sees me, roll my eyes, get annoyed or snap my mouth shut and turn and walk away, bang into or out of the Luna’s office, his office, into my suite at the other end of the packhouse, I moved even further away the day after my heat was over. He doesn’t know that yet.
“But when he finds out and realizes, I’m in a room that he can’t even access at all, because he’s not welcome. Because we don’t share a suite anymore, so he doesn’t have the code to, which we both know is because you’re situated in the Luna Suite and the Alpha Suite. He’s going to see how greedy you are and just how much distance is actually between us when he comes off that shaming post and tries to make amends and spend time with me, wanting to sleep in my bed because he can’t be with you for how long?” She chuckled softly and shook her head “Alone he will be and well, who’s fault is that now.”

She smiled now, “Then there is what do you think he will think, if you interrupt us and I stalk off and get into my car and head for the pack border? Do you think he and his wolf will not think I’ve had enough? Wonder if I’m not coming back, am I leaving him?
“It’s what you do on a whim… but I’ve never once done. Have I ever, to your knowledge, even threatened to reject him or leave him… No.” she answered her own question, “Unlike you, who plays at it all the time. Do you think he’ll stay by your side if he feels me heading for the pack’s border?
“I, unlike you, won’t give him that tearful warning, I won’t cry and act pitiful, won’t throw out any threats at all. Try and control him like you do. No, I’ll just calmly walk away from him and I think that will have more meaning for him, and his beast, don’t you. You started this war of the Lunas, Christy.
“Now, let’s just see how well you can play the game. Because even though I punished him and you,” she stated, “The pack not only agreed that you both deserved it, but they all think that I am compassionate. Because I could have invoked full pack punishment over what you did, and yet I didn’t.
“That is the game I will play. So, you go right on a head and continue to do as you have been for the past two years. But let me give you a piece of advice, so you can’t say you weren’t warned. I’m older than you, the pack respects me and now sees you as a traitor to not only me, but them.
“I wish you luck in getting them back on your side, when I have never even once said a bad word about you. Never interrupted you and Anthony or pulled him away from you… I even prepared the Luna Medical Suite for you.” Mischa snorted, fully amused.
“Though that wasn’t just out of kindness of my heart, Christy,” Mischa told her. “Not at all, just so you know… I was laying groundwork for what I was expecting you to do, upon coming out of that heat… I’m glad you didn’t disappoint me. I was and am disappointed in Anthony, but you… you did exactly what I thought you would.”
