Christy’s Back in the Game
She walked downstairs to attend morning training and found Anthony and his unit all in the gym along with her unit. He wasn’t normally in her training group. He smiled right at her.” Morning Mish, how’d movie night go?”
“Good.” She answered him. “How long have you all been in here?” she asked.
“Not long, five minutes or so,” Letti answered, “Early birds, you know.” She jabbed a thumb at Kendrick, who just chuckled at his Mate.
Mischa nodded, she normally opted to train at 7am with a pack trainer, as did her unit, whereas Anthony and his unit were all up at 5am, so they had time for training, to shower, dress, eat breakfast and drive into the city and be at the head office by 9am.
“What’s going on?” she asked as she saw that the others in here were all mated pairs, not her usual training group.
“I decided to change things up, so one day a week there will be couples training, all training rotations every Saturday will now be for couples, instead of ranks. You and I get to spar today, won’t that be nice? We’ve not done that for ages.”
“I didn’t hear anything about that,” she commented.
“Mm, I wanted it to be a surprise,” Anthony told her as more mated pairs started coming into the room. They looked pretty happy about this new training. Some of them would never get to train together, because of their bloodlines being so different.
“Christy?” she asked him. She didn’t see her anywhere and she was his Mate.
Anthony frowned instantly at her word, “This is about you and me, Mischa. You also don’t train at the same time as her, so don’t concern yourself with that,” he stated.
She nodded at him but said nothing, though again she noted he’d not mentioned Christy by name, or that it was him that brought her up. He also still looked to be a little on the tired side, which indicated to her that they’d either not spent the night together or they had, and it was the rift between himself and herself that made him look tired. Though he didn’t look as bad as he had yesterday, she didn’t think.
Half of them were in the middle of the room, sparing with their Mate, and the other half of them that didn’t fit on the floor, were using the gym equipment along the gym walls and spotting each other for weight and strength training.
She was earnest in her sparring with Anthony though she knew he was trying to play with her

more than actually train with her. Something he’d once done; before Christy came along, she got three hits in on him that made him gasp, and she smiled sweetly at him. “Perhaps actually train and not play, and I wouldn’t get through your guard.” She told him.
“Where’s the fun in that?” he’d stated right back.
Then ground fighting was announced, and she’d kind of just stared at him, and he’d smiled right at her and rubbed his hands together. “I’m ready for that.” he’d murmured.
She knew she wasn’t going to win that, he’d chuckled that first time he’d had her pinned down on the floor. “Got you under me easily,” he’d stated with a smirk.
She was only warrior-blooded, so knew it was coming; she’d cracked him in the ribs while he smirked down at her, with her pointy elbow, and smiled right back at his grunt. “How about we even the odds?” She stated, “You leave Shade out of this.” she’d stated as he’d gotten up and helped her up.
He’d nodded, smiled at her and stated, “Okay, but I don’t think that is going to help you.” And it hadn’t, not really, it just took a minute longer to pin her down, and state something full of playful suggestion, as the others in this room were doing with their Mates.
He’d been like that that entire time they’d been ground fighting, she’d not won even once against him, and found herself always pinned under him. He had a happy smirk on his face most of the time, and so he’d copped an elbow to his ribs, or a heel to his lower back to put an end to whatever he was thinking.
She smiled after training was mostly over, and they had finished their last rotation on the gym equipment, and she was just sitting on a piece of the equipment watching those mated pairs in the middle. They were having quite a bit of fun, and some of them got side tracked and a little too on the playful side.
“It’s nice to see them all so happy.” Anthony murmured as he sat down right behind her and
rested his chin on her shoulder.
“It is, but for the most part they always are.” She nodded, but she had to admit this change-up to their regular routine was going over well. There was a lot of laughing in this room, and it was fun to watch the pack.
She pointed out three young girls all hovering by the doorway. “Sneak attack is coming.” She whispered and she wasn’t wrong. Three daughters that belonged to an omega-blooded she-wolf, that was mated to an Elite warrior all ran into the room and launched themselves at their father and shoved him off and rolled him over and all piled on top of him, “We got him mum.” They laughed.
Mischa laughed as she watched that she-wolf laugh herself. “Tickle him good.” She told her

daughters, and they were all digging their fingers into him trying to keep him pinned down.
He was laughing himself “Your mother uses you to cheat me out of my win.”
“Only way mum can win.” The eldest laughed.
“We’re on mum’s side.” The youngest giggled.
“Mum for the win.” The middle child yelled.
Mischa couldn’t help but laugh, and many in here were also watching and chuckling at the antics. Though she watched that Elite, Gavin, just push himself up, even with all three of his daughters piled on top of him and his beast chortled for everyone to hear, and those girls all yelled, “No fair.” And he kind of shook himself, and they all fell off and got up and run away squealing dodging their father wolf, using the others in the room to keep him at bay, until they were running for the door.
“You girls better run fast,” his wolf told them, and then snagged his Mate tossed her over his shoulder and was gone off out of the room to hunt them for a bit of fun.
She felt Anthony hug her. “That could be us in a few years.” He murmured.
She shook her head. “You’re Alpha-blooded, and stronger than even his is.”
“Mm, it will still be fun playing with our pups like that,” he told her, and she could hear the smile in his voice. “Something for us to look forward to,”
The trainer called training over and everyone was headed out of the gym. She found Anthony’s hand in hers. “Breakfast together?” he asked.
“Alright.” She nodded. “Though today is Saturday.”
“I’m aware of what day it is.” Anthony nodded. “It’s my day off.” He smiled at her.
“Yes, but not mine, so after breakfast I’ll be going to my office.”
“I know your working schedule, Sunday and Monday’s off now. I arranged this particular training session so I can still see you for a while on my day off. Tomorrow is a training day for me, and I’ll only be free between eleven and three, then again only after seven.”
She nodded, it had been like that forever, and was how Christy had gotten every Saturday with him. She’d complained to him about her lack of time with him, when one month had seen her have three Sundays as part of their alternating days, and Sunday was busy for him.
Mischa didn’t go so far as to count the days in a month in the beginning, was just happy with alternating days, and she’d had a month herself with three Sundays. It was just part and

parcel of alternating days, it all worked out even in the grand scheme of things.

Christy, however, had tallied it up and put it before him, showing him she only got four hours each of those days and so Mischa had nearly a whole extra day with him hours wise. He’d sighed and caved and given her Saturdays because he and Mischa had been mated for so very long, as Chrisy had pointed out to him.
Mischa showered in the mud room and found Anthony waiting for her. “You do realize it is your and Christy’s day to spend together, yes?” she asked him.
“Yes, but seeing as Sundays are mostly filled with me attending training, I’ve opted to change things up a little. To make it fairer. So, from now on, couples training and breakfast with you every Saturday to even out the time and make up for the time I’m not available on Sunday to spend with you.”
That won’t go down so well, she thought to herself absently as they made their way to the dining hall. Christy wasn’t going to like that at all. See it as he wanted to spend more time with Mischa, likely at some point cry about it and say he loved Mischa more.
She got food and sat down at the table to eat as she saw Christy walk into the room, she was clean and the dress she wore hung off her quite a bit, showing just how much weight she’d
lost over the past ten weeks in the cells.
She looked right at Anthony and then herself, and then turned to leave the room. “Christy join us for breakfast.” Mischa called out to her, “It’s your day with Anthony, I’m not going to interfere in that. I will be working a new schedule and Saturday is a working day for me,” she
told her.
“I don’t want to intrude on your time with the Alpha,” Christy murmured. “I’ll come back later and eat on my own… I wouldn’t have come down at all… but there’s nothing in my suite, it wasn’t stocked.” Christy stated and turned to leave the dining room, her steps were slow and her posture a little on the slumped side as if she was upset.
Mischa looked at Anthony, and he looked at her and shrugged. “It’s up to her if she doesn’t want to eat with us, you did offer.”
She wondered now if Christy coming down here, the way that dress was hanging off her, the way she had worded herself about there being no food in her suite, and now that slow, almost defeated walk from the dining room was all done on purpose.
Designed by Christy to make the pack members think that Anthony now favored Mischa, even though she had attended her punishment, that she was still being punished, by being ignored and not cared for by even Anthony since getting out of the cells.
