The Eclipsed Life of Luna Mischa (by Jennifer Francis) novel Chapter 58

Mischa, I’m just looking at the schedule for the spa now, and wellyou do realize what next Sunday is right; it’s Valentine’s Day,Lucinda commented.

Hmm, it’s a human world holiday, so it’s fine.” She kind of shrugged it off as if it was nothing or that they didn’t do anything for it. It had once been spent between them as a half day in bed and then just spending all day together, letting their wolves out in the afternoon and evening to play with each other and mate in wolfen form, not so much anymore.

It’s also Christy’s day to be with Anthony that Sunday, so don’t concern yourself with it or that it will be interfering with anything here on my end. I don’t foresee any problems arising from me going and attending a spa weekend.”

Though even as she said that something else occurred to her, the Saturday prior to Valentine’s Day was going to be a her and Anthony day, now that he’d changed things back to alternating days, and he was going to be waiting around for her to finish her work, to spend the evening with her, likely wanting to have dinner might even try and use that day for them as Valentine’s Day bringing it a day ahead so to speak.

So, he spent one day with her and one with Christy. She didn’t really know, Maybe I’ll come down early Sunday morning, not Saturday night. I just realized I’ll probably have dinner plans Saturday night.”

Alright, just call or text before you leave your pack, so we know if you’re overdue for arrival,Lucinda stated.

Will do, see you next weekend. Could you book me in for a hot stone massage?

I can do,Lucinda stated, and they ended the call.

She wasn’t about to just fall into Anthony’s bed a week after Christy was out of the cells. That wasn’t enough time to see if he truly was going to redeem himself or not. Forgiveness wasn’t just granted because he’d stated things were going to go back to him alternating days between them. That was, after all, how it was supposed to have been all the time and within a year he’d stopped doing it.

So a year she would give him and see just if he could stick to it or not. That would also give her time to see just what Christy would do with the two heats Mischa would have in that year. Would Christy suddenly go from having one to three, and would he think something was suspicious about it? She let that thought go, only time would tell on all fronts.

Leaving the pack on Sunday morning while Anthony was attending Alpha training, she believed would also see it get past him, and then he’d be off to be with Christy. Thinking

about that and how the last two Valentines Days had gone.

Christy would be out to bed him from the moment he finished training, and stay in his bed all day long, in order to keep him from even thinking about Mischa. Christy certainly wasn’t about to let him get up and leave her bed to go and spend time with Mischa.

So, Mischa should be able to drive out of the pack and go to the Rising Blue Lotus, and enjoy being pampered at the Blue Lotus Spa, and it would go unnoticed by him that she wasn’t even inside the pack until probably Monday morning.

When she thought he’d be looking to either come and apologize to her for not seeing her for a single moment on that day, or trying to have breakfast with her Monday morning, only then would he realize she wasn’t inside the pack and have to call her and find out where she was.

A part of her had come to wonder prior to that heat of hers, just how long it would have taken him to realize she was gone from the pack, if she had just up and left it at some point, and no one inside the pack like her unit, Anne, his unit, or the Elders brought it up to him? Would it have been a few days, a week, a few weeks or even a month or more?

Well, if he returned to his old ways and stopped having anything to do with her once more, she would leave, take a wellearned vacation and see just how long it took for him to notice. She’d even tell those that would notice not to inform him just so they too could see how lacking he was.

That next few days passed by, and she found every morning that was to be her day with Anthony, that he mindlinked to her as she thought he was getting up himself Morning Mischa. He’d stated and there’d be a little gravel to his voice; to indicate it wasn’t just Anthony but also Shade there talking to her, greeting them first thing in the morning.

She yawned and muttered, Do you know what time it is?That first morning he’d done that.

Only to hear him and Shade chuckle Yes, then it was just Anthony ten minutes before training starts. Have breakfast with me when it’s over, I’ll meet you in the dining hall.’

Every morning had been like that, and she’d gotten up and gone downstairs to have breakfast at 7am like she normally did, he’d walk in and smile at her, drop into the seat next to her and discuss his schedule with her for the day.

He was to spend Monday to Friday in the city, leaving the pack at 8am and getting home just after six, even texted her if he was going to be late on the days that were for him and her to have dinner together on.

He didn’t miss a single meal with her when he was inside the pack, breakfast and dinner on Tuesday this week when he’d been in the city. He even called her at lunchtime and asked her what she was doing on those two days, and walked her to her suite to say goodnight. He’d

hinted at being allowed into her suite and she’d just shaken her head last night and stated, No.right to him and waved him off from her door.

He’d sighed, You surely have to miss me as much as I miss you. I can keep my hands to myself, you know. What about just sleeping in the same bed?

No,had again come from her, and he’d sighed heavily, and then walked away from her. He knew she wasn’t about to punch that code in with him right there. She didn’t want him to have it, still didn’t trust him is what that showed.

She’d also barely seen Christy in the past week since she’d gotten out of the cells. She and Anthony either ate in her suite or his, and she wasn’t allowed in the Luna’s office, and she’d not once attempted to go in there either. Was staying away from Mischa, she thought. Though she was now currently watching Words go between Debbie and Christy, in the packhouse foyer, she had gone to get morning coffee with the girls and came back to see Debbie latching on to Christy.

Where are you going, Christy?had been Debbie’s words.

Into the city for Lunch with Anthony,Christy had stated right back, trying to shake her off. He’s expecting me, we have lunch in the city at least once a week.

Mischa did know they had previously spent every Friday in the city having lunch and sometimes dinner with Anthony as well. It was their usual routine, but that was also a day when she wasn’t required to be here in the pack, so she was aiming to go in today, which was Thursday, even though it wasn’t her day with him.

Doing this would effectively get her out of Luna Training, and likely for the rest of the day. She was over all the study, she supposed, after just three days, and Mischa wasn’t about to stop that from happening. It’s also what she was expecting of the shewolf to do at some point.

She and her unit stood and watched the altercation between the pack’s second Luna and an Elder who was a former Luna. Christy, you’re now studying fulltime Sunday to Thursday.Debbie had stated flatly Anthony also agreed to this, because he was more than disappointed by you failing not only the Luna duty tests but also the pack law tests that he had you sit down and do on Saturday, that he was there to oversee himself alongside myself.

Something you told him wasn’t at all necessary, you could do the Luna Duties, tried to get yourself out of those tests right in front of him. He gave no leeway, and you were forced to sit and tend them, failed them miserably even after two years of training. Do you recall his words? Because I do. Fulltime study with me until you pass everything, just like I told you it was going to be.

Yes, and I attended all classes as per scheduled. Now Anthony is expecting me in the city

for lunch.Christy snapped I am still his Luna, regardless of being made to study and forced out of my own office. Do you really dare to stop me from having lunch with my Alpha Mate? When he’s expecting me.

Mischa had connected herself to Debbie Let her go, just make sure she’s clocked out first.’

I made her do that when she left my office for morning tea break, Debbie remarked, and the

link was cut.

Christy turned and looked around, spotted Mischa watching them and glared at her. Anthony and I always have lunch in the city at least once a week. You also know this, Mischa,” she

stated.

I’m not stopping you, told Debbie to let you go and stop arguing it.Mischa shook her head. If that is what Anthony wants, go spend time with him.

Christy narrowed her eyes upon her and then stated, I’ll call him, and you’ll all see he’s expecting me.And she pulled her phone out and dialed Anthony’s number, hit the speakerphone and held her phone in her hand, so everyone could see and hear everything

that was said.

Anthony picked up the call, Yes Christy. He answered, and his voice was kind of curt.

She watched Christy blink at the curtness of his words, and she wondered if he’d ever said her name like that before, but then Christy shook it off and smiled, added a little sweetness to her own voice. Hi Tone, I’m just about to leave for our regular lunch date in the city, just letting you know.

Don’t you have classes to attend with Debbie?he asked right back.

It’s just a few hours, I can make it up another day.Christy smiled. No biggie.

Alright, what day will you be doing that? Making up your classes missed,Anthony stated simply, without hesitation, and she wondered if he knew Christy was going to try and walk away from her studies at some point and was prepared for it.

Oh, um. I’m not sure, one day next week.Christy frowned at having to tell him when that

would be.

I’ll decide then, seeing as you haven’t thought about it, an hour here, an hour back, an hour and a half in the city, so that’s three and a half hours. You can make it up on Sunday,Anthony told her. That’s actually perfect. It will give me three and a half hours with Mischa on Valentine’s Day to wine and dine her. Come on in for lunch if that’s acceptable for you.

Mischa frowned at hearing his words, that would interfere with her plans for her spa

weekend. Though she watched as Debbie chuckled as Christy stared at her phone disbelievingly. But our day falls on Valentine’s Day.She muttered.

It does, but you’ll have to make up the hours you’re studying. You didn’t know when you’d do that, so I, as the Alpha, have made the decision for you. I’ll mark it on your schedule for 6pm to 9:30pm. You and I will spend lunch together as is planned, and I’ll have a nice romantic dinner with Mischa, that I think works well for me. I’ll get to spend Valentine’s Day with both of you.”
