CH 59
Christy was now just standing in the packhouse foyer, dressed to go and have lunch with Anthony in the city, but was now staring at her phone uncomprehending about what was actually happening. She was not only not getting her own way right now, but Anthony was telling her how it was going to go as well.
Debbie smiled at Christy, but she cleared her voice and was all business once more. “Alpha, were you expecting Christy in the city to have lunch with you today? She told me you were. This call is actually to confirm that. She offered to call you to prove you were waiting for her.”
“No,” Anthony commented. “We made no official plans for her to be here in the city at all this week. But she may come if she wants to Debbie. I do, however, have a meeting to attend, and she’ll have to wait for me to get out of that before we go to lunch. It can’t be helped on my
end…
“Christy, if you’re coming and my meeting is delayed, you’ll have to wait. I’ll add that time to your make–up hours. We’ll also have lunch in my office. I’ll have food brought in. I don’t have time today to take you out to a restaurant or café. I’ve got back–to–back meetings. Do you still
wish to come for lunch?” he asked.
Mischa saw more than annoyance touch Christy’s face. All her words and actions showed she was all talk and caught out in her own lie. “Never mind, if you’re actually busy, I’ll just stay and attend my Luna lessons.” She stated.
“Alright,” Anthony stated, and the line cut off.
Mischa nearly laughed at the incredulous look on Christy’s face as she realized Anthony had actually hung up on her. It wasn’t often an Alpha would hang up on his Luna. Let alone dish out all them orders to them like he’d just done.
“When do you plan to make up for the wasted time from your now overly long morning tea? Sunday or today?” Debbie smiled at her.
“Now is fine, it’s only what, an extra 15 minutes,” Christy muttered as she put her phone away.
“Actually,” Debbie looked to her watch. “Your break ended 35 minutes ago now,” she stated and stepped aside as she motioned for Christy to make her way back to her office. Then, as Christy stalked past Debbie, Debbie chuckled down the mind–link to Mischa ‘Round one to me, the former Luna. I might just get me a scorecard; I can play this game.’
Mischa shook her head. Yes, it was funny, but she didn’t want anyone stopping Christy from being her natural narcissistic self. Keeping that a bay would hinder her own plans for that she–wolf. ‘Just let her do as she pleases Debbie, as long as she clocks in and out, I’m all

good. You can mark her down as absent without notification if she simply doesn’t show up, like I have a feeling she would have just done now.‘ Mischa informed her, ‘I’m not going to get between them. It is Anthony’s prerogative as to who he spends time with, out of his two Mates, not us. Him.‘ she told her.
‘He’s been good all week, Debbie commented.
‘Mm, it’s just the beginning though,‘ Mischa reminded her, ‘and I’ve been good myself, willingly had all meals with him when he requested it. I even went on a pack walk with him after dinner on Tuesday.’
‘I know, we’re all watching,‘ Debbie stated simply.
‘You don’t need to. I can handle him and Christy’s tantrums, if they start up again, I have already got a plan of action for it. Please just let me handle them.‘ Mischa told her.
‘Alright.‘ Debbie sighed and then dropped the link, to follow Christy up to her office.
Mischa knew why Christy opted not to go into the city and have lunch with Anthony, and it wasn’t because she’d only get to have lunch in his office and not out at a restaurant. It was because she was selfish enough to want Anthony all to herself on Sunday, Valentine’s Day, and make sure that the romantic dinner he’d mentioned with Mischa wasn’t going to happen
was all.
She sat in her office and thought about that spa weekend and how to get it, because she now had the distinct feeling that Anthony was going to be looking for her on Valentine’s Day itself,
“Mischa?” Letti asked.
“Hmm, it’s nothing, just that I had plans of my own this coming weekend, knowing it was Christy’s day to spend with Anthony on Sunday that would give me my weekend to myself, both days because he’d be working on Monday in the city.”
“You made plans to go away then?” Letti murmured.
“Hmm, I did actually just for two days.”
“Why? Christy will go into heat after next week. You’ll get plenty of time on your own without her around that week,” Letti commented.
“I’m aware,” Mischa nodded. “Her heat is marked on my calendar. I’ve just been here for many months solid and, after all that’s gone on…” she sighed. “Lucinda and Nicholas did invite me for a spa weekend. I accepted, this was the best weekend for me. I can’t very well do that when Christy is in heat in two Sundays‘ time, which would be my next weekend off.
“So, if I don’t take it now, I’ll have to wait almost a whole month, and that will be when

Lucinda is due to have her pup, so again it’s not the right time to go up there, and it’ll get put off again for two more weeks. That’s six more weeks before I can go on my spa weekend.”
It was actually the best time to go, regardless of it being Valentine’s Day and her trying to ditch it, which she knew she was actively trying to do as well. She didn’t really want to have to put up with Anthony being all extra loving and attentive, or trying to put on the charm and pull her into his bed for the night, something she thought he was going to do.
Not something she wanted when she knew he would likely bed Christy over that lunch they were going to have. She’d never actually had sex with him directly after he’d had sex with Christy. She didn’t actually think that was appropriate. She knew he, however, went from her bed right to Christy’s and didn’t even bloody shower. But again, that was Christy calling him away, either she didn’t care about that.
Or him not showering between them meant that Christy’s scent overlaid Mischa’s, so even though he’d had sex with Mischa, he wasn’t left with the lingering scent of it to recall it. Just one more way she believed Christy set out to eclipse her.
She was going to have to tell him about her spa weekend, or it was unlikely to happen right now, she thought to herself. She picked up her phone and texted him, ‘Anthony, I have decided to spoil myself with a spa weekend. I hope that’s okay with you.‘ she sent and waited for his reply.
‘Of course it is Mish, you never spoil yourself. Which weekend and where is the Spa?‘ he sent
back a few minutes later.
‘This weekend, on my days off, and it’ll be with Luna Lucinda and her girls. She’s 9 weeks along currently and stated she’d love a break from Nicholas.‘ She sent and waited.
It was a long wait, and she wondered if he was busy. He had said that he was. Or was he just unhappy about reading what she’d sent and needed a minute to compose himself and not send an unhappy message back to her. Considering he’d just told her, of course she could spoil herself. It was actually why she’d worded it the way she had.
Spoiling her had been his own words at that mating ball. He’d also made mention that she never allowed him to spend money on her. Telling him where it was, with their allied pack, it would all be comped and wouldn’t cost them anything, so even though it was considered treating herself, it still didn’t cost the pack any money.
15 minutes passed after she saw that he’d read the message ‘Annoyed.‘ Laud stated, ‘He’s been prompt in responding, for weeks now. Doesn’t allow time to pass, doesn’t want you reading into it, as if he’s ignoring you.‘
Mischa could only agree with her wolf, so she sent another message to him, ‘Sunday is your

day with Christy. This will stop you from having to choose what to do, who you spend time with. I’ll take it as your gift to me if you allow me to go.‘ She sent after a further five minutes passed and there was still no response from him. It was underhanded, she knew, and it also gave him an extra push into agreeing.
She saw that he had read that message right away and yet still there was no response from him. She let it go, she wouldn’t argue with him about it, or force his hand, she’d given him a clear out, to only spend time with Christy, and not have to choose between them. That was all she was willing to do.
Anthony walked into her office at ten to five. He was home early, and she didn’t think that was going to be a good thing. He’d not responded to those last two text messages she’d sent. He didn’t close the door to her office or ask that her unit leave. Just walked across the office and
placed a very pretty blue box on her desk.
She looked at it and saw it had the Rising Blue Lotus pack symbol on it, knew it was actually the symbol of the Blue Lotus Day Spa. They could, in fact, use the pack symbol of a white lotus image over a blue moon. It was very pretty and suited a day spa business as well.
She reached out and picked it up as she looked from it to him curiously, and he smiled at her, “Happy Valentine’s Day, I called Alpha Nicholas myself and paid for you to have their deluxe spa weekend package. Your gift certificate is in there,
“And I bought a few of the spa’s products, added them to the gift as well as something just from me to you. Nicholas had the day spa courier them to me today, so I could gift them to you prior to you going there. So as not a belated gift, but rather something in advance.”
“Thank you.” she stated, “Are you mad?” she asked curiously.
“I admit I was a little that you would go away and not be here for a day that celebrates love between a couple. But, I understand that if this is what you want from me, then that is what I should get you, not just expect you to sit around and wait for me to come to you after spending time with Christy. Being that you pointed out it’s her day with me,” he stated, “You could also use a few days of pampering like this, I don’t recall you ever going to a spa before. So, it will be good for you to relax and unwind.”
Mischa nodded, though she had been to the Blue Lotus Day Spa twice before. Both times he’d been away, and she’d not wanted to deal with Christy. So had gone down to spend time in the Rising Blue Lotus herself, once when he’d been in the Wolfen Kingdom at the Annual Alpha Meeting. And another time when he’d been away at a mating ball.
