Anthony now looked even more unhappy to her if it was possible, as he stood staring at her. After hearing those very words come from her, it was like something was ticking inside of his brain. She watched as he nodded slowly a few times as he took in her happy demeanor.
Then he was just striding around her desk, where he grabbed her by the elbow and pulled her up from her own chair and was leading her out of the Luna’s Office, “What are you doing?” she asked him, seeing as he’d not voiced what he was thinking.
But if he thought he was about to pull her into his bed, he was about to take a beating all claws out from her. That wasn’t going to happen. She’d laid it out for him just two weeks ago, them and their broken bond, and how there would be no sex. That wasn’t the way to fix it.
“I’m going to make sure you yourself adhere to those very words you keep stating, and the pack’s heir will be at the will of our Goddess.” He told her as he marched them through the
packhouse foyer. “Let’s go and speak with the pack doctor,” he stated.
She shook her head. He wasn’t going to let her go, and she knew it, had a death grip on her. Whatever conclusion he’d come to inside that head of his was driving him now. He walked
her right into Brent’s office and kind of pushed her down into the chair across from their pack
doctor.
She half glared up at him, and he raised an eyebrow, “Will of the Goddess it will be.” He stated flatly and then turned to Brent himself, who looked more than confused about what he was seeing. Never before had he seen his Alpha man handle her like that.
Anthony looked right at Brent, “Stop her birth control.” He stated in that I’m the Alpha, you’ll do as I tell you tone.
Mischa shook her head and leaned back in the chair, looked at Brent, only to find his eyes on her now, that was actually up to her, it was her body. She shrugged at him as if to say whatever and the poor man looked from her back to Anthony and then sighed himself before
speaking.
“Okay, firstly Alpha, Mischa doesn’t come down here to collect her birth control from me, it is something she takes once a week, and I imagine would be in her suite.”
“Yes, in my ensuite,” Mischa acknowledged.
“Secondly, it’s provided in a yearly supply, one box of 52 pills. If I recall correctly,” Brent stated, and Mischa nodded, it was.
“It’s due for renewal in October,” Mischa stated simply.

“Check that please,” Anthony stated. It wasn’t something he’d know or ever kept track of, and if he once had, that would have been well over a decade ago, he simply wouldn’t recall.
Brent looked it up and then nodded and stated, “The first week of October is when it needs to be ordered to get to the pack intime for no doses to be missed.”
“Right, there will be no ordering of anymore.” Anthony stated flatly. “You’ll not be prescribing
birth control for Mischa from now on. It was Mischa that stated the heir to the pack will be conceived when and to whom, by the will of our Goddess. I want this to be upheld. There will be nothing that interferes with that. Post your next heat in May, seeing as it was you that stated it would be waiting another year, Mischa. Not me.”
She nodded up at him as he stared hard down at her. “I’ll not have Brent renew it,” she stated simply, and then felt the pack doctor’s eyes on her. She looked at him and smiled. “I won’t see you get in trouble with your Alpha, Brent.” She told him and saw curiosity in his expression.
He was aware of the readings and research she was doing here inside the pack hospital. She looked at Anthony. “Happy now?” she asked, and his eyes were narrowed upon her once more, as if what he was seeing going between her and Brent led him to believe she was lying
to him.
“I swear I will not ask Brent or anyone else inside this pack to get me any form of birth control, be it preventative or emergency birth control.” She stared right up at him as he was staring down at her. She didn’t blink once.
After a minute, he nodded slowly and stated, “Good, come on,” and reached out as if he
wanted her to take his hand.
“Actually, while I’m here, I’ll go and check on the pup that was born late last night. You go on ahead and go spend the day with Christy, as you should,” she told him, and again there was
that narrowing of his eyes upon her.
“Fine,” he half muttered when she didn’t get up to go with him, she watched him leave the office and shook her head and rolled her eyes. What the hell possessed him now, she
wondered.
Then she smiled at Brent. “Sorry about that,” she stated, and stood up.
“Hmm, got a bee in his bonnet I see.” Brent nodded. “You know that I didn’t technically lie to him, right?”
“I’m aware that the last birth control pill will take me across my heat in November.” She nodded. He’d been very strategic about what he’d said. It was for her benefit and not Anthonys, likely because he understood some of the ramifications of what happened and how she–wolves felt when they were made to suffer their heat alone like she had.

“We’re also not back to that, so…” she shrugged it off, and watched her pack doctor nod as if it was almost to be expected. She stood, “I’ll not get you in trouble with him,” she told him, then left his office, and she wouldn’t.
She was hoping by then to have a better plan to safeguard herself, one that would come out of Obsidian Medical Research Facility, by way of Dr Dana Reed. She’d e–mailed her and asked if Dana could fit her in for a one–on–one private meeting.
She’d relayed in her e–mail that there was a health and well–being issue that had occurred within her pack, which she didn’t know how to resolve or handle at all, and that she, as the Luna to the pack, needed Dana’s professional assistance with.
She’d then relayed that there was a three–way mate bond, between two she–wolves and their one Mate, that the she–wolves weren’t mated to each other, and a heat had bloomed for both she–wolves at the same time, which saw one of the she–wolves suffer her bouts of heat
alone.
She’d relayed what she’d read from Dana’s own research and stated she was simply at a loss and only had until the end of April to try and help resolve the situation. The next heat was due in the first week of May.
Dana had replied that she completely understood the concerns and was willing to sit down and discuss it at length, and not only help to come up with a plan for future instances, but she would also provide the latest wolfen drugs to help with this happening.
She’d attached two medical forms to be filled out for the two she–wolves involved, and if they would allow her to see their medical records, that would be good if there was anything off about either of the she–wolves heat, and if their pack doctor could draw blood samples and bring them with him that would also help for tailoring wolfen drugs.
Everything was lined up for the medical conference she and Brent were to attend. She wouldn’t have Brent draw her blood, but would allow Dana to do that herself at the appointment. She’d only left out one thing in that e–mail and that was who the she–wolves were, that she herself was the one that had suffered.
That she could discuss in person, including what she believed Christy had done to herself, in order to see herself go into heat at the same time as Mischa to draw their Mate away from her. That she thought Christy would also do this again, each and every time Mischa went into
heat as well.
Then she’d broach the subject of whether there was a way for her not to have to go into heat at all. Had there been anything created for that very thing, she thought there might be something, whether it be medical, scientific or magical. Because when she’d really thought about it, so many wolves in the wolfen realm went off to live in the military and left their

Mates back in their packs, there was no way they could all just blip back to them in the blink of an eye to sate a heat.
Those homes in the wolfen realm also weren’t soundproof like they were here in the human realm, or she highly doubted it. So after much thought about the topic, she could only think that there was a way out there to do that very thing. Either stop a heat altogether or diminish it, so it didn’t happen as often as it normally would.
If there was a way, then she was certain that Dr. Dana Reed would know what it was and be able to either tell her who to go to, or source it and send it out to Mischa. She didn’t think after hearing her tale, that a doctor in a mental health and well–being facility wouldn’t help her. Or point her in the right direction at least.
She went and checked on the new pup and mother and smiled at seeing the pup’s older brother Angus holding him. He was 13 and this was his first sibling, a little sister. She smiled at him as he stood swaying gently, “A good brother you are.”
“I’ll protect my little sister.” He’d smiled and kind of puffed up a bit.
She chuckled. It was always good to see a good strong sibling bond right from birth. It didn’t always happen, especially if they were from a blended family as these two were, but both parents were also in this room and happy watching, comfortable with Angus holding their newborn pup.
She knew there had been no bleeding of Angus to his stepmother, Hilda. She’d not wanted him to lose his connection to his actual mother, even though she was deceased. They got along, because Hilda was truly a nice person, and Angus was old enough to know how things worked. He’d grow up to be a good wolf, she thought.
“Family photo,” Mischa had stated, and both parents had gone and stood behind him, both had one hand on Angus‘ shoulder and the other touching little Erin. They all smiled at her and then Angus grinned. “I need a little brother now,” he’d stated and handed Erin to his father.
Who’d ruffled his hair, “I’ll put in my best effort, son.” Felix chuckled.
