She was walking with Letti down the Alpha Floor after retrieving specialty tea from Letti’s suite that her mother had sent over from her home pack, when she watched as Christy stepped out of the Alpha Suite with Anthony right there next to her. That she–wolf’s heat had been over for four days now, so she had no reason to be in there. So much for her no longer being allowed in that room, she thought absently and felt Laud huff inside her mine.
She saw Christy see her, Anthony’s back was to her and Letti, as he pulled the door closed, Christy smiled a triumphant smile as if to say ‘you can’t ever beat me‘. Then Christy turned and stated, “Oh wait,” right as she would have heard the door clicked closed. “I forgot my watch, Tone.” And pulled out an access card and swiped it, and pushed right back into the suite, stating “Wait for my I’ll just be a sec, Tone.” And he stood and watched her duck back into the Alpha Suite, holding the door open for her return.
Mischa shook her head and voiced the words she and Laud itched to say, they wouldn’t hold back anymore. “That didn’t take long, I see,” and his head whipped around, to see her coming down the hall from the Beta Suite.
He nor his wolf had sensed her presence or smelled her as he’d opened the door to his suite even, were solely focused upon Christy, as he’d become within just a year of her being his
Mate.
“It’s not what you think.” He rushed out. “That is my card, not hers.” But even as he stated that very thing, she saw it dawn on him. As he realized what he was doing, saying to her. That he’d broken his promise to her yet again; and there was now guilt on his face as he looked at
her.
་་། guess, Anthony, I was right not to give you the code to my suite. Or it would just wind up being given to Christy,” she sighed.
“Mischa… I’m sorry, she just wants to be close to me because she might be with pup, is all.” he told her.
She nodded; she could understand that, but why wasn’t that done in Christy’s suite? “I see, but I guess seeing as you took her in there for her heat. A room you professed would once again be mine and yours alone. That was just a lie too, because you could do that in her suite. It’s what, across the hall, four meters from where you stand.” She shook her head.
She watched Christy step out of the suite. “I got it, Tone, if fell down between the bed and the bedside table.” Christy smiled up at him and then turned and looked at Mischa standing there with Letti. “Oh, I didn’t see you there… It’s not what it looks like.” Christy rushed out as if she’d not seen Mischa or Letti moments ago.

“I don’t care what it is, Christy,” Mischa stated calmly, “I give you my permission to move yourself into the Alpha Suite fully… I will never reside in there, ever again.” She stated simply. Then just walked on down the hall, tugged Letti along with her, who sighed but said nothing as they walked past Anthony.
“His word is no good where I am concerned,” Mischa stated, as she walked. She’d known about Christy being in there for her heat. Though that had not been documented, and she knew why, Anthony had actually told Paul not to. Paul, however, had relayed it to her prior to Anthony telling him not to tell her, it had come after Christy’s first bout of heat was over.
Anthony, she thought, felt he’d gotten it past her, but how could he? When she could feel where he was inside this pack, day and night, through not only their pack tether to each other but their very Mate Bond.
She heard him grate out words to Christy about her wanting to be in the Alpha Suite. That she had her own damned suite. Why did she have to always look to be wanting everything that was Mischa’s? Then yelled at her for anyone around to hear, including herself and Letti, as they stopped at the elevator and pressed the button. “Are you actually trying to take her place and be my only Luna?” he’d sounded very angry to her.
Both she and Letti had turned to look at them at his comment. He didn’t just sound angry, he looked furious as well, and he had a hand around Christy’s wrist in what appeared to be a tight, unforgiving grip as he glared down at her.
‘Interesting turn of events.‘ Letti mused down the mind–link.
‘Not really, just a heat–of–the–moment reaction. Give it two days, they’ll be fine and dandy once more. She’ll fuck him stupid on her next day to be with him, and he’ll forget all about this and his anger with her once he’s sated his sexual needs.‘ Mischa returned how she thought it would go.
But she’d stood there and watched curiously as Christy tried to get herself free of his grip, and she heard her sob, “You’re hurting me,” as she pulled at his hold on her. “Let me go.” She’d sobbed at him, and he’d let go, and she’d run off across the hall and banged into her actual suite. Effectively avoiding having to answer the question she’d been asked.
Anthony punched the wall next to his suite door several times, and she stepped into the elevator when the doors opened, she wasn’t going down there to get between them; not to incite that argument or to try and have them patch things up. That was their problem to resolve.
Mischa, however, did mind–link to the pack’s handyman and tell him Anthony was punching holes in the wall on the Alpha floor, in what appeared to her to be a fit of rage, and asked him to come up and fix that later when he stopped doing it.

She and Letti returned to the Luna’s office, where Letti made that special blend of tea for her and the unit only to watch as Anthony walked into the Luna’s Office an hour later, holding a bunch of flowers. “I’m sorry, Mischa.” He sighed.
“No, you’re not.” She stated flatly. “You’re sorry you got caught is all.”
“Mischa, it’s not like that,” he muttered and looked at her unit, who were all now looking at him as well. He knew just from that one thing they all knew what had just happened. Were all
now frowning at him as much as he was at them.
“Oh, it’s not,” she stated, gaining his attention once more, “So when did she start sleeping in there again? Something you have to allow yourself. Seeing as you stated that card was yours and not hers… Something you told me, hmm, promised me would never happen again.” She shook her head. He couldn’t win this argument with her, she had him dead to rights.
“Don’t go trying to lie to me either, there are cameras I can check,” she stated. “I’m also a Luna of this pack and the omegas report to me everything I ask of them.”
“Did you have them spy on me? Are you spying on me in my own pack?” he rapped out, and those flowers hit her desk with a thud, and she watched the petals fall about her desk.
She shook her head, so much for his apology “No, I am not. Simply stating how I could check if I wanted to,” she informed him. “Paul reported to me about Christy being in heat, that you pulled her into the Alpha Suite to sate her needs… before you told him you shouldn’t, I’m
guessing.
“When you
could have just walked her, the what? Eight steps across the hallway and into her suite to attend that heat.” She shook her head “So, as for how long I’ve known about her in that suite, since the moment she went into heat and that you took her in there of your own
free will.
“Now as for this apology.” She motioned to the destroyed flowers on her desk. “You’d best save that for the one who will fall at your feet at your hollow words of ‘I’m sorry‘, I’m not the one who always smiles when you say them and fake believes you every time.”
Mischa leaned over and nudged them off her desk and onto the floor at his feet. “Just move Christy into your suite officially, it’s clearly what you want, because you can’t not take her in there, now can you. I know it’s what she wants otherwise why would she want to go in there in the first place, let alone all the time?” she muttered.
Then just waved him off to leave her office, as if he was just a pack member she was done dealing with. Something he would understand because he did it himself all the time. He actually went after picking up the flowers off the floor.

her and let that she–wolf into the Alpha Suite. Three and a half weeks for him to start to fall
back into his former ways. This was the very reason she had not allowed herself to be charmed by him. Because his word was no good, or not for her where Christy was
concerned.
She leaned back in her chair and watched him stride right out of the packhouse, she had a view of the front doors from where she sat, “Mischa?” Letti sighed.
“I’m fine, I expected it to happen, thought it might take a bit longer than three and a half weeks, considering all the effort he put in over those nine weeks.” She shook her head. “I should probably stop deluding myself into thinking he can change.” She murmured and all three of them sighed now in her office.
She glanced at them all and half smiled. “Don’t concern yourself with it, I’m not going anywhere at this point. I will give him a year to come to his senses, then shit will start to hit the fan. Till then, just ignore it. There will likely be a lot of fighting because I won’t bow down to him, and just let him walk all over me. Have what he wants.” She muttered.
“Which is what exactly, in your eyes?” Carol asked.
“Christy as the Luna on his arm for the world to see, and in his bed every night. While I am just a Luna on paper, here to keep the pack running and afloat financially. She’ll be outside the pack spending money at will while I’ll be here in the pack cleaning up after her,” she
stated to them how she saw it in full.
