She watched as Shade snarled at Christy in full, an all Alpha Wolf aggression snarl, as Christy was made to stare at him even as she struggled against his hand that held her up off the ground and face to face with him.
That one little laugh at what Mischa was suffering, because of what he and her had done, likely told his beast all he needed to know. She enjoyed knowing Mischa was suffering, and no Wolfen Mate ever wanted to hear or see another amused by their own Mate’s pain. No Luna should ever think something like what she was reading was funny either.
He was likely stopping her from breathing, though she didn’t know if even Shade would see it as he was harming his Mate right at that moment, because he had two Mates, and he was likely speaking directly to Christy and Sunny about how he was perceiving her laughing about her and Laud’s pain.
Paul hit the pause button. “Yes, just to confirm for you, there was a private conversation go between his beast and Christy,” Paul confirmed, “We still don’t know what was said. Anthony did not tell us and Christy, I doubt will. Though I got fear from her during that moment.”
He hit the play button, and she watched as Shade held Christy, up off the ground for a full minute, as he spoke directly to her and her wolfen counterpart, and then he just let go, uncaring that she had no warning, and she hit the floor and crumpled down to sit before him clutching at her throat and dragging in ragged breaths.
Christy sobbed on the floor for a few minutes and then just picked herself up and stared at Anthony. “Reject me then, proving to me, I was right all along, that Mischa is the only one you care about. No wonder I can’t live up to her… I dare you to issue it, I’ll fucking accept it.” then they stood staring at each other for a solid minute before Christy turned and stalked from the office, banging the door open and closed.
“Where did she go and did she mean it?” Mischa asked curiously as Paul turned the video
off.
“To the Luna’s Suite and no, she didn’t mean it. She was racking her brain desperately trying to find a way to turn the tables on you the whole time she was sitting on the floor, then she came to the realization that if she did exactly what you did, stated reject me right to Anthony’s face, he wouldn’t do it.
“She, I believe, has come to the understanding, that whichever one of you is left inside the pack, will be blamed for him rejecting the other. So, she’s probably going to be looking for ways to say those words to him with others around, to make it out that he’s actively choosing you over her.”

Mischa shook her head. “I don’t think she realizes that’s all she’s ever done; she always threatened to leave him and ran for the border, so she’s just back to where she was prior to trying to have him kill me in other words.
“Used this very thing to go right back to doing that. Only now, she thinks she’s got a legitimate reason to say it, as for if he rejects her for me? I don’t think the pack would blame me for it. Not after what happened, she could want that rejection issued and the pack to see her leaving, and he go running after her to try and stop her, begging her to stay in front of everyone…” She shook her head.
“Correct, and from what I get from the pack, they would not blame you. Most would be happy to see her go.” Paul nodded, “Some are kind of hoping that he will as well. However, she was very happy reading that article he gave her,
“That laugh, she cut off, was pure joy that came with feelings of she’d won, that it was just a matter of time before you were nothing to him at all. She understood pretty quickly you weren’t going to be letting him touch you, and I’m betting she hopes you’re in the 3% as well.” He sighed. “Wouldn’t that just solve all her problems.”
“It probably would,” Mischa nodded. “I’m not in the 3%, Paul, just so you know, I didn’t like reading that myself. It made me really think long and hard though, because I’d say I could become one of the 3%, but then I decided I actually wanted to help find a way to rid that 3% altogether.
“I have offered myself up to join any further research programs if Dana knows of any ongoing or if she is going to do her own research on the matter, I will willingly help with it even include my rank,” she told him. “So, as my Gamma don’t concern yourself with that, I’ll not harm myself like that.”
He nodded and kind of looked relieved to her, “That is good to hear. I did not like reading that part at all. Anthony gave it to me wanted my opinion of you compared to his.” Paul sighed heavily now and looked at her, “I know where you are in those statistics.
“And so does Anthony, despite how he is with you and Christy, it hit him in full. What he’d done, and he now wants to try and find a way to help you. Though even that will be difficult, because of Christy herself, and he knows it, because it’s all there in black and white,
“Only those that have two mates willing to accept each other completely and are willing to share the pain between them, if it happens again, can fix it, because they didn’t mean to cause it in the first place. Two she–wolves in his bed at the same time. He also knows that is
never going to happen.
“With how much you two hate each other, and he has now come to realize that in full. Stated you told him point–blankly you hated Christy, so he knows your stance. Christy, you heard

yourself just now on that video, still stating she can’t compare to you, so is still going to play the card of, it’s not hate, she just feels inferior to you.
“Though today reading that article, Christy felt like you gave her a way to help her get what she wants in full without a rejection having to take place, that you’ll just kind of fade away into the background, and only she’ll be of importance.”
Mischa nodded. “But she doesn’t know what I said to him in the library now, does she?”
“No. We, his unit all do, and he is actually more concerned about you and Laud, than Christy right now. She’s fine and dandy, and you and Laud are closed off completely and uncaring and indifferent where he is concerned. He also muttered something about Christy would just go sulk for a few days and then come back fuck him. She thinks sex will fix things and bring them back together.”
“Mm, it is what she does, uses sex to win him over, whereas I told him sex didn’t fix anything, and not to expect me to go there. I wasn’t interested in having sex with him. I told him that before going away for my Valentine’s Day spa weekend, now he knows why I’m not interested … What’s he doing now?” she asked curiously.
“We all left him in his office, he wanted to be alone, I can see why… he also said he was going to continue to do research. That’s actually what he was doing when Christy came in, to complain to him about you. She really picked the wrong day to do that.” Paul chuckled softly.
“Anthony is now trying to find ways to help you, to fix your mate bond, and is now fully aware it’s not going to be a quick fix or a simple apology, like he probably thought would fix it all. Until you gave him that research article and then verbally laid it all out for him, what you would do.” Paul stated. “Can I ask why you’re going to that medical conference?”
“To meet Dana Reed. As I said, I have questions, and I do want better drugs or ways of managing my heat. I’m not at a point where I want to be mated by Anthony, it will be just going through the motions, and I’ll likely just zone out. That’s what I was like during my last heat, to be honest with you.
“We were already broken, Paul.” She stated simply “I’ll also take all the relevant information with me about what happened for research purposes. I will tell Dana everything that happened and hand over Christy’s blood work, so she can see the urgency of me needing better pain relief for my upcoming heat.
“She’s not dumb, will understand from those blood results what happened, and I’ll tell her about my thoughts on it. She’s reputable and willing to help, is why she sent that article to me, to pass on to the three in the mate bond. Now all of us have read it.
“I kind of just nodded after reading it and can understand myself better, with how I respond to

him. Now I know that where I’m at, I guess you could say, is completely normal for being the one that suffered. Christy is ecstatic about it; though she probably doesn’t actually know
which statistic I’d be allotted to,
“But seeing as I’ve yet to let Anthony climb into my bed, she could hazard a fair guess as to
which one, and I’m certain that little bit of information she now has will also make her want
to induce her heat again, solely just from reading what happens when the same she–wolf is abandoned a second time; that most will reject their Mate.”
“I dare say Mischa, she will use that other little bit of knowledge she gained, to also try and sway Anthony into staying with her, tell him she could become as closed off as you are, and then he’ll have two Mates that want nothing to do with him. It will, in fact, tear at him and his decision on what to do.” Paul sighed and shook his head.
Mischa was in agreement with the assessment Paul made of what could happen. “Anthony, although he got a full reality check from that research article today,” and she acknowledged that he had, “he is not going to want to see Christy suffer like I did, especially if it’s from a self–induced heat, which he knows nothing about.
“Because it will be aggressive and have more bouts, like the last time, which he’ll know will compound on her pain.” she stated, “So, yes, he is going to be torn, and all because Christy does this to herself on purpose.”
Paul sighed now as he sat there and thought about it, “Which you’ll have a warrior be sent to you to sort your needs out, and he’ll then suffer the pains of betrayal, by his own hand, because you’ve already told him how it will go. Who will send you the warrior even.”
“Yes. If Christy wants to play the ‘you caused Anthony pains of betrayal, are unfaithful and should be rejected‘. She’ll also lose that battle. She’s in a no–win situation right now, and not only because she’s not in on all the facts of things that go between Anthony and I, but because she’s a narcissist and only cares about herself.
“She can’t actually see past what she wants to get for herself. So, she doesn’t know if she’s losing or lost until she actually loses, and it’s proven and put right in front of her,” Misha
stated.
Paul nodded. “Agreed, because even then it comes as a complete shock to her, and she
doesn’t understand how she lost.”
