Meeting Dr. Dana Reed
The days here inside her pack had passed quietly with very little concern for her. Christy was, in fact, it seemed being a model pack member, she was turning up for all her lessons, and didn’t duck off into the human world to see Anthony at all, not for lunch or dinner, even on her days off.
She didn’t go into the city for any shopping, and did even use her pack card to do any online shopping. It was a bit odd to her, but that was simply one less thing she had to worry about in the end.
Anthony himself had gone back to working in the human world pack office five days a week, which meant she didn’t have to interact with him either. He’d also, she noted, stopped sleeping in the Alpha Suite and was currently living in the Luna Suite with Christy. That was a bit odd to her that Alpha suite had been his for all his adult life, and he’d seemingly just given it up altogether.
He’d not once tried to have her let him into her suite, hadn’t even so much as gone up their once since Christy had fallen into the canyon. Seems he was completely back to having forgotten she existed at all. Gone were the days of one day being her and one day being Christy. All of five and a half months, since his punishment, and she was once again
non–existent to her own Mate.
She found Debbie, Simone and May all in her office looking at her. “He’s reverted back to how he was,” Simone stated.
“Hmm, I’m aware.” She nodded, “Sleeping in with Christy every night. Though not in the Alpha Suite,” she mentioned.
“That is more to do with Harvey, who rarely speaks. Going and having words with him, not so
short words either, Allen and Ray were there to witness it. After Anthony’s statement about that only he would be in the Alpha Suite until an heir was created and that the Luna, who had the first heir, would be the one to move into it with him,” Simone told her.
“Harvey sorted him out, spoke long, hard words to him; one Alpha to another, and told him with witnesses that if Christy was ever seen going into the Alpha Suite for any reason at all, if she wasn’t confirmed as carrying the heir to the pack by them,
“That we, the Elders, would see it as he cannot be trusted to keep his promises; to not only you, but not even to the pack, after making such a claim but not adhering to it, he would no longer be worthy of being the Pack’s Alpha,” Simone informed her.
“Then Havey went on to tell him that we, the Elders, would rescind the leniency you granted

him and Christy, and put dismissing him and Christy as Alpha and Luna of this pack to an actual pack vote, and tell them that not only couldn’t Anthony keep his word to you, but he broke his word to the entire pack as well.” May stated.
“Anthony was annoyed about this, but Harvey went on to further state that if he wanted to fight it, then Anthony would have to duel all three of the Alpha Elders at the same time and win to keep his place here as the pack’s Alpha.” May continued, “He learned of the very harsh reality of what we were all seeing as him still being the same as he was before, giving into Christy all the time.”
What she was hearing was all new to her, though it hadn’t stopped him from only being with Christy and forgetting about herself, just moved him to the Luna Suite permanently. Though she had also told them not to interfere at all because she would deal with them herself.
“Allen then told him, we, as the Luna Elders, would force a rejection from him of yourself and let you accept it and all of us would leave the pack, and take you with us as well,” Debbie smiled a little now. “I pushed it more myself by telling him we’d go right to Alpha Nicholas, call him and even have him hear the rejection over the phone.
“We all know Nicholas is fierce and loyal, that you brought him in as an alley, and he’s willing to take your side and come to your aid to help remove you from the pack safely,” Debbie stated. “An added push. Though by the look on your face you know nothing of any of this.”
“I have not heard anything at all about any of this,” she nodded. Anthony had kept it from her and the Elders it seemed, were moving in the shadows around her. Doing their own things likely to bring about Anthony’s own downfall, but to also have it be seen as done by his own
hands and not theirs at the same time.
“He was then informed that we, the Luna Elders, are in agreement with the Alpha Elders, and it has already been discussed and documented in our own Elders files as well. Which it has, and can be used as evidence for the pack to see he was spoken to about the matter, but who checks those unless there is an issue?” Simone smiled at her, not Anthony.
“He didn’t really know how to take it. I can only guess he’s now also informed Christy of that very thing, because it was mentioned to him that we would be checking the security cameras every day for him breaking his word. He didn’t much like that either, but was informed curtly that he couldn’t be trusted to keep his word as far as we were concerned, so until he could
hold himself to his very promise for 12 solid months, he would be monitored by us for it.”
Mischa nodded, “Alright, is there anything else I am missing that I should probably be aware
of?”
“Mmm just one, a motion detector was installed by the tech department at Harvey’s request, so anyone coming or going from the Alpha Suite is picked up, and an alert is sent to Harvey’s

phone himself.”
“Anthony will consider that spying on him,” Mischa murmured.

“We don’t care, if not for telling us to stay out of it, you’ll deal with them, we’d have done it by now, because he’s now back to ignoring you and only seeing Christy.”
“Leave it, you’ll see something interesting in just a few weeks, I imagine,” she told them. “It
will be fun to watch.”
“Mischa, you and Anthony are on the full outs, your heat is due in short order, do you really want him mating you through it?” Debbie asked now.
“Be completely honest with us. Luna to Luna,” May stated. “We’ve all been on the outs with our Mates at one time or another.”
“Honestly, no, I do not, but I’m off to Obsidian in a few days, and I’m hoping Dr. Dana Reed will have better drugs for me to use, or maybe a way to render me fully unconscious and not be woken by the ever increasing pain. If she can, that is what I will be doing under the full watch of Dr Brent.”
“Ah, that is why you’re going there,” Simone nodded. “Good, I hope you can find something to help. We don’t really want to see you have to be mated by your Alpha Mate when it’s clear he’s not there for you in any other capacity.”
“Thank you,” she smiled. “I have a feeling things will be very interesting come time for my heat, he knows how I feel about it. He also can’t avoid telling me he’s stopped trying to regrow our bond. I’m documenting everything and well.” She stood and motioned for them to follow her into the Alpha’s office. “I found something interesting myself just the other day.”
She walked them to his desk and pulled open the top draw and pulled out that diary he was supposed to be using to keep track of which days he was with her and with Christy. And opened it. The first few weeks were consistent when he was trying, but then, after her words to him in the library, the page stated, “Mischa is not interested in anything sexual between us anymore.” Then flipping to the next Mischa day and all those after that, he’d written “Mischa doesn’t want to spend time with me.” and as she continued to flip through it, on every one of her days those very words were written.
“This is how he thinks, I guess. He’s not really wrong per se, but he has never come to me and asked to have a meal over the past few weeks, and couples training? That was out the window damned fast, so how would he know if I would say yes or no?”
“How’d you come across this?” Debbie asked curiously.
“I was looking for a new ink pad. I know this is where he keeps his. I saw the diary and was

curious as to what it was. Being the Luna, I opened it.” She shrugged it off. She’d not meant to pry, “He’d told me he was documenting everything in a diary, so it wasn’t like it wasn’t for me to look at.”
Debbie handed it back to her, and she put it back in the draw, and they returned to her office and she looked at them. My documentation is a little different to his. It states it’s my day to be with him, he’s not connected with me at all to see what I’m doing or if I want to spend it with him. That he spent the day with Christy in his free time without trying to see me.”
She looked at Debbie. “On another note, how is Christy doing with her Luna Lessons?”
“Actually putting in a real effort, studying after hours as well, passed all the pack laws and rules now, and is now solely focused upon Luna Lessons and nothing more. If she actually puts in the same amount of effort, she likely will be able to return to the Luna’s office before the end of the year.”
Mischa nodded, so she’d actually changed her plans because of Anthony’s threats. Actually realized if she couldn’t do the job, she couldn’t stay as his Mate and Mischa’s leaving would out her as not being able to. “On that note, I’ll not be sitting in the same office as her, I have no inclination at all to share actual space with her. I’ll suggest a new office be built when the time comes, or she can just sit in the Alpha’s office all day and have a desk moved in there. I’m certain that will make her very happy.”
“Understandable,” Debbie nodded. “We’ll deal with that about a month prior to her final exam being held. That way there’s time to sort it out and no overlap for the two of you.”
Mischa nodded and watched them all leave the office. She leaned back in her chair and rocked it slightly as she thought about that. Christy actually knowing how to do the job, passing all Debbie’s tests and what she and Paul had come up with and smiled, a full step back, not a half step back it would be.
She would opt to just do pack accounting and use exactly what Paul had suggested; her hours to get her out of this very office. There wasn’t going to be a need for a second office if she was stepping away from Luna Duties all the time.
Let’s just see if Christy could in fact handle being a Luna full–time. Though she had to survive all her heats first. Mischa chuckled softly into her office.
