The Ex-Con Who Conquered the World novel Chapter 121

It wasn't until Alexander's grabbing hand was nearly upon him that Stefan suddenly moved his right hand. Like a dragon soaring from the depths, it sliced through Alexander's attack with unstoppable force and clamped down on his wrist.

In that instant, Alexander was filled with dread. His right hand felt as if it were caught in a steel vise, an overwhelming surge of power flooding through him, freezing his body in place—he couldn't move an inch.

Stefan kicked him square in the chest. With a sickening crack of breaking ribs, Alexander was sent flying through the air before crashing heavily to the ground, unable to get up anytime soon.

The entire venue fell into dead silence.

Everyone stared in shock, their faces frozen in disbelief as they looked at Stefan.

Wait—wasn't this guy supposed to be a loser?

How did he take down the head of security in one move?

And how dare he cause a scene at an auction hosted by the Locke family?

He's got some nerve!

Stefan paid no attention to the stunned crowd. His gaze was cold as he looked down at Alexander on the floor. "I told you not to make a move," he said flatly. "You're just embarrassing yourself."

Alexander clutched his chest where the ribs had snapped, every breath sending a fiery stab of pain through his lungs—probably a broken rib piercing the tissue.

His face twisted with hatred as he glared at Stefan. "You sneaked in without an invitation, and now you're starting a fight at the auction? You're dead, kid. No one in River City can save you now."

His words drew nods from the onlookers.

This auction was personally hosted by Bjorn Locke, the third heir of the Locke family. No one in their right mind would dare cause trouble here. Doing so would be a direct insult to the Locke family—and a huge humiliation for Bjorn.

Take Marcus, for example. Earlier, he was burning with hatred toward Stefan, but he didn't dare order his bodyguards waiting outside to storm in and attack. Instead, he called for on-site security. Because even he wasn't bold enough to stir up trouble at the auction. Even if he believed he was in the right, he'd still wait for Bjorn's approval before making a move.

So when he saw Stefan take down Alexander in front of everyone, he burst out laughing. "You idiot's got a death wish! Causing trouble here? Don't you know where you are? You trying to get yourself killed faster?"
