Chapter 138 Old Friends

But Stefan was different in Bjorn’s eyes. Payment arrived immediately after the meri

A moment later, Stefan’s phone pinged with a transfer notification: three pot for three in.

Exactly the total hammer price of his elixirs. No commission deducted

Stefan looked at Bjorn. “Mr. Locke, you didn’t take a cut?”

Bjorn laughed heartily, “Grandmaster Bryant, this is our first cooperation. And since you’re friends was both Nina and Megan, let’s waive the fees this time.”

“Mr. Locke, without your auction platform, my elixirs wouldn’t have fetched these prices. I think you should take your commission,” Stefan insisted.

Bjorn said, “Then how about this-next time you send elixirs for auction, I’ll charge the standard fees. Tonight, let it be my way of making a friend. Deal?”

“Alright. As you wish,” Stefan smiled and stopped arguing.

Bjorn said, “Grandmaster Bryant, when might you refine more Quintessence Elixirs? To be honest, my family would like a few.”

He’d put all of Stefan’s elixirs up for auction as requested, without trying to buy them privately. But in his heart, he really wanted some.

Stefan’s tone was casual. “Mr. Locke, I can’t say for sure when I’ll refine more. It’s not something I can do on demand. The process is difficult, and the success rate is very low.”

Nina glanced at him sidelong. She remembered him cooking up those elixirs with an induction cooker and a rice cooker inner pot. It didn’t look difficult for him. But she said nothing.

She understood that scarcity equals value. And she knew all about underpromising.

“Of course. I understand completely.”

Bjorn nodded, accepting Stefan’s words without question. A flicker of disappointment crossed his face- who knew when more elixirs might appear?

Stefan shifted gears. “Mr. Locke, I do have two more Quintessence Elixirs with me. If your family wants them, I can let you have them.”

Bjorn had shown good faith by waiving the commission. Since he wanted elixirs, Stefan would offer two.

Besides, Stefan genuinely respected Bjorn’s approach. When he’d first delivered the elixirs, Bjorn could have bought them all privately-the Locke family had the money. But instead, he’d followed Stefan’s wishes and put them all up for auction, without letting his own family bid. That kind of integrity impressed Stefan.

Bjorn’s face lit up. “Grandmaster Bryant, I’ll pay the highest hammer price from tonight-eight hundred million dollars per elixir. That’s one point six billion dollars total. I’ll transfer it now

Stefan smiled, “No. Just use the first elixir’s price-four hundred million dollars each.”
