Chapter 158 All About Luck
“Ten million dollars?” Stefan’s eyes narrowed slightly,
That interest rate was insane-Damian’s casino was charging even more than loan sharks.
“Are you planning to cover Bob’s debt for him, Mr. Bryant?” Damian asked.
“Of course. What am I supposed to do, just stand there and watch him sell my girlfriend?” Stefan chuckled. “But I’ve got a question. What if I play a few rounds, win some money, and use that to pay off what Bob owes? That works, right?”
Damian smiled, “Sure. If you win, Mr. Bryant, the money’s yours. So, you feeling lucky today?”
“You know what they say,” Stefan said, locking eyes with him. “Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? This place is loaded. Figured I’d try my luck and see if I can squeeze a little something out of it.”
“Then I wish you the best of luck, Mr. Bryant. May the odds be ever in your favor,” Damian smiled, but behind his eyes, something cold flickered.
He thinks he can walk into my casino and take my money?
What a joke.
Doesn’t matter how deep his pockets are-one hundred million, a billion—once he gets a taste, I’ll bleed him dry.
“So, how much in chips would you like, Mr. Bryant?” Damian asked.
“A million dollars should do for now,” Stefan said casually.
Damian nodded at Zora. “Get Mr. Bryant a million in chips.”
Zora flashed a smile, her eyes lingering on Stefan for a second before she walked off, hips swaying.
She came back a moment later with a tray stacked with chips.
Stefan swiped his card, and the million dollars were gone.
“Have you played before, Mr. Bryant? Any game in particular catch your eye?” Damian asked. Stefan shook his head. “Honestly? Never had the pleasure. But that big-small table over there

looks simple enough. Watched for a bit. You just bet Big or Small. Easy.”
“Whatever makes you happy, Mr. Bryant,” Damian said.
Korbin raised an eyebrow. He hadn’t expected Stefan to actually sit down and play.

“It’s all about luck, Mr. Bryant,” Korbin offered. “But if you hit a triple, that’s when the real money rolls in.”
“Hope you’re right, Korbin.” Stefan grinned, taking a seat at the table.
The dealer, Yasmin Dunn, was a stunning woman. She smiled warmly, glanced at Damian without missing a beat, and turned to Stefan. “Mr. Bryant, are you familiar with the rules?”
“Got it,” Stefan said. “Actually, before we start, mind if I take a look at the dice cup and dice?”
“Of course not.” Yasmin slid them over.
Stefan picked up the black dice cup-it seemed normal. The dice looked standard, too.
He tossed them a few times, watching the numbers come up randomly.
Stefan seemed to be checking for tricks, but he was actually listening for the tiny sound differences each number made.
Each number made a slightly different sound when it landed. The hollow dots on each face changed the weight just enough to alter the pitch.
But telling numbers by sound was no ordinary skill.
Only highly trained, long-time casino experts could do that.
Stefan was no casino pro-this was his first time in a casino-but he was a martial cultivator. Martial cultivators had sharp mental focus. If he concentrated, he could pick up even the smallest sound differences.
“I’m good,” Stefan said finally.
Yasmin nodded, took the dice cup, and gave it a good shake.
Stefan exhaled a puff of smoke.
Three, five, six. Fourteen.
He slid a hundred-thousand chip onto “Big.”

Then, after a second, he placed another hundred-thousand chip on “Small.”
