Chapter 162 You Had to Be Greedy
Xaver flew backward from the force of Stefan’s kick, landing more than thirty feet away. He coughed up blood, struggling to get up.
Stefan landed perfectly where Xaver had just been standing. He reached out and lifted the lid off the dice cup.
Three dice showing two, three, and five added up to exactly ten points.
“I bet a hundred million dollars on chips. With one-to-six odds, that’s six hundred million dollars.” Stefan grinned, tossing the lid up and catching it again.
He glanced over at Damian. “Damian, thanks for being so generous. I’ll happily take that money.”
Damian laughed out loud.
His face stayed calm, no trace of his earlier dark expression. Instead, he carried himself with an almost arrogant confidence, like someone who had everything under control.
“Guess they weren’t kidding when they said the young ones are something else. I’ve been running things for decades, and tonight I actually misjudged someone. Mr. Bryant, you came here to cause trouble, didn’t you?”
Stefan shook his head with a smirk, his tone dripping with sarcasm. “It took you this long to figure that out?”
The temperature in the room seemed to drop. Maybe it was the AC working overtime, or maybe it was the tension. Either way, people felt a chill run down their spines.
Zora, who had been standing next to Damian, slipped away at some point. She was now talki quietly with the security staff.
Soon after, the gamblers started filing out.
Within minutes, the place was empty except for Damian’s people and three outsiders: Stefan Korbin, and Bob.
“Damian, what’s with clearing the room?” Korbin narrowed his eyes, scanning the area before fixing his gaze on Damian.
Damian chuckled, “Mr. Bryant here practically announced he’s here to cause trouble. Thoug I’d clear out the innocent bystanders. Wouldn’t want them getting caught in the crossfire,
right?”

Korbin had been around long enough to read between the lines. He let out a cold laugh. “Damian, don’t get too full of yourself. There are people in this world you don’t mess with.”
“You talking about yourself, Korbin? Or the Tiger Head Society?” Damian laughed mockingly, then his expression hardened. He stared Korbin down. “This kid thinks he’s got backup? You? Did he really think having a branch leader from the Tiger Head Society escort him here meant he could walk all over my casino?”
Korbin was speechless.
Me backing Stefan? Actually, he’s got my back.
“Korbin, I’ve got no quarrel with you. Old times’ sake and all that.” Damian paused. “If you know what’s good for you, walk away now. But if you’re stupid enough to play bodyguard for this so-called Mr. Bryant, don’t blame me for what happens next.”
Korbin’s face flushed with anger. Before he could speak, Stefan cut in calmly, “Wait, hold on. Damian, sounds like you’re trying to weasel out of paying up. You’re not gonna honor my win?”
Damian burst out laughing, throwing his head back, as if he’d just heard the joke of the century.
When he finally stopped, he glanced around at the thirty-plus men closing in. They were a mix of martial artists and special ops-trained armed fighters.
And Damian was at Level 8 Hidden Sect Realm.
This dumb kid is still worried about his six hundred million dollars?
Does he have no clue that even if I pay up, he’ll never live to spend it?
“Mr. Bryant…” Damian spread his arms wide, his friendly mask gone. “Nobody walks out of my casino with over a hundred million dollars in winnings. If you’d been smart, you would’ve lost it all back to me. Maybe then I’d have let you crawl out alive. But no-you had to be greedy.”
“Backing out, huh?” Stefan crushed his cigarette butt on the table, looking completely harmless. “Good. I was hoping you’d try something. If you’d actually handed over the money, I wouldn’t have an excuse to knock that smug look off your face.”
“Still running your mouth when you’re about to die. Get him!” Damian shouted, waving his hand. The surrounding men attacked immediately.
