Chapter 201 Don’t Feel Responsible
“Dad, I think Stefan is right,” Sara said.
Stefan froze and looked at her.
Does she already know I’m the owner of Azure Dragon Mansion?

As Stefan hesitated, Sara went on, “Dad, think about it. The special guest Ms. Reed was going to introduce must be someone extraordinary. We don’t even know for sure if that person is the owner of Azure Dragon Mansion-it’s just a guess. Even if he is, do you really think he’ll see us if we just show up out of nowhere?”
Chuck fell silent, his face troubled.
He recalled when Azure Dragon Mansion was first built. It had caused a huge stir in River City. Reporters tried to interview the owner, but were all turned away.
I have no connection to this mysterious owner. Why will he agree to see me?
Worse, showing up uninvited may make a bad impression-and that will only make our situation worse.
Chuck gave up on the idea right away.
“Sara, if that won’t work, what else can we do?” he asked urgently.
“We will wait and see. Let’s not act until we know for sure,” Sara said. “First, let’s find out if Uncle Hewitt really signs that contract.”
With that, Sara walked upstairs.
Stefan lit a cigarette and started to follow, but he hadn’t taken two steps before Chuck snapped coldly, “Stop.”
He turned to Chuck with a smile. “Mr. Stewart, something wrong?”
“I have no idea what good you’ve done for my daughter since you got engaged to her. You can’t help with anything-you just run your mouth. All you have is a big attitude.” Chuck was taking his frustration out on Stefan.
He went on, “When Sara said she wanted to fight for CEO, what did you tell me? Do you want me to repeat it?
“You said you wouldn’t hold her back, that you’d help her. You even bragged that the Reed

family would come to Sara to sign the deal…”

Chuck grew more upset, then snorted loudly, “And what happened? Hewitt took the Reed family partnership right out from under us.”
“Mr. Stewart, they haven’t signed the contract yet,” Stefan said.
“It’s only a matter of time!” Chuck snapped. “Ethan said it at the bidding-Hewitt can go sign anytime. Hewitt’s already getting the paperwork and heading to see him right now.”
Stefan was about to reply, but Audrey stepped forward and took his arm. “Stefan, ignore him. That’s just how he is-the more you argue, the more he rants. Go upstairs first.”
She shot Chuck a sharp look and lectured him nonstop. “Chuck, you can’t get anything done right, yet you love blaming others! How is this Stefan’s fault? Don’t you have any responsibility at all? You’re Sara’s father. You can’t even help your own daughter, but you dare criticize someone else!”
Stefan headed upstairs, with Audrey’s rapid scolding echoing behind him.
He smiled, feeling a little sorry for Chuck.
To be honest, Chuck yelled at him now and then, but Stefan never let it bother him. He never got mad at Chuck.
He knew Chuck had a hard time.
After all, Chuck had a wife who always defended Stefan, no matter what.
Stefan had just reached the second floor when Sara’s door opened.
A clear, sweet voice called out from inside. “Come in for a minute.”
Whoa, she phrased that weirdly. If I “come in,” it’s not gonna be just for a minute…
Stefan kept a cigarette between his lips and walked boldly into Sara’s room. He couldn’t say no to his fiancée.
“Sara, ever since I walked into your room, I’ve felt really sleepy,” Stefan said, grinning as he looked at her perfect face.
Sara frowned slightly and eyed him suspiciously. “What are you talking about?”
