Aurora had always maintained an elegant and dignified front. While she had faced her share of verbal abuse, her strong mentality allowed her to easily shrug it off. She rarely encountered anyone who resorted to physical violence right away. In fact, no one had ever dared lay a hand on her.
Zara Lowell slapping her out of nowhere had left her completely stunned.
Just as she was about to retaliate, Zara had shoved her to the ground.
By the time Aurora was ready to throw caution to the wind and fight back, her assistant rushed over and held her back.
An unnamed fury surged in Aurora's chest. She glared viciously at Zara, looking as if she wanted to tear the girl apart.
But Zara wasn't the least bit intimidated. Instead, her eyes were full of mockery.
"What are you staring at? You cheap bitch! If you ever show your face at the company again, I'll beat you every time I see you!"
Right then, the assistant—who had been sweating profusely trying to keep them apart—suddenly lit up.
"Mr. Chapman, you're here!"
Aurora barely turned her head before a figure sprinted past her.
"McCoy! This woman is bullying me! You have to stand up for me!"
Zara clung affectionately to McCoy's arm, playing the victim. She painted herself as a poor, innocent girl who had endured endless torment.
Zara's blatant reversal of the truth made Aurora turn pale with rage. She had always disdained such petty jealousy and never imagined she would be framed by a woman like this.
Aurora looked at McCoy, the handprint on her cheek strikingly clear.
"McCoy, do you believe her or me?"
"Mr. Chapman, Aurora is your wife, and she's also my older sister. For a pregnant woman to suffer such humiliation... I expect an explanation."
McCoy had just signed a contract with Stella, and the Williams family was here to bail the Chapmans out. Deep guilt surfaced in his eyes.
"This was my oversight. How would you like to handle this, Ms. Cameron?"
Zara's expression shifted when she heard Stella speak. Moving in the same circles, she naturally knew Stella's reputation. Her father had told her that Stella was highly likely to become the next head of the Williams family.
Currently, whether domestic or abroad in Solmaris, Laurel Quinn was the only female family head. If Stella claimed that position, she would undoubtedly become someone to look up to. Zara dared to act arrogantly toward Aurora, but she didn't have the guts to provoke Stella.
Stella merely cast a faint glance at Zara and smiled. "Since it's Miss Lowell's first offense, how about she just apologizes to Aurora?"
Zara froze. Was it really that simple? She had expected Stella to make her beg for mercy or slap herself!

The same rotation blaming Stella trying to get her destroyed. Isn't the writer tired of writing the same foolishness overand over again? This is exhausting....
Can’t wait to see what joshua will do...
Why would the author of this book do that to Stella? Such cruelty!...
So many chapters are incomplete. Missing pages. Hard to get continuity...
