The Extraordinary Bride Of The Wyndham Family (Isla and Gabriel) novel Chapter 185

Gabriel studied her face for a long moment.

“It’s okay,” he said finally. “I believe you.”

Relief flooded her expression.

The door opened, and Stone walked back in.

“What did I miss?” he asked

“She’s innocent,” Gabriel said firmly.

Stone didn’t respond immediately. He simply nodded, still processing everything.

“Found anything?” Gabriel asked.

“Yes. Another camera was attached to it, just as we suspected. It seems the man was keeping them under constant surveillance,” Stone explained.

“I’m certain he knows they’re here now,” Gabriel added.

“That’s how they located Mrs. Wyndham’s whereabouts,”

Stone said, finally analyzing the possibilities.

“What is that man’s name?” Gabriel asked.

“My ex is Uriel,” she replied. “And his father is Adrian.

That’s all I know.”

Stone was already typing fast on his device.

“Uriel is still in prison,” she added. “His sentence will be over soon. I don’t want my son anywhere near them.”Gabriel nodded again.

“I’ve got them,” Stone said.

Gabriel stepped closer and looked at the screen.

“Uriel Wyndham,” Stone read aloud. “Son of Adrian Wyndham.

Gabriel’s breath caught.

“How did we never know about them?” he asked in disbelief.

“Wyndham?” Miss Adams whispered. “You mean… they’re related to you?”

“Yes,” Gabriel replied.

Her hand flew to her mouth.

“So… you’re cousins?” she asked in shock.

Gabriel shook his head slowly.

“No,” he said firmly. “He is not my cousin.”

He met her eyes.

“He is my twin brother.”

Her eyes widened in pure shock.

And now, everything finally made sense to her.

Gabriel stood in the hospital room and explained everything he had learned from Miss Adams. He did not hide a single detail. copied from jo-b–ni-b-.-co=m He told his parents about the camera inside Desmond’s wristwatch, about Uriel, about Adrian, and about the shocking truth that Uriel was his twin brother.

Gladys was awake now, sitting up slightly on her hospital bed. Her face looked pale, but her eyes were wide with shock as she listened.

“It can’t be,” she muttered weakly. “How is that even possible?”

She shook her head slowly, trying to understand what she was hearing.

“They told me only one son survived,” she continued, her voice trembling. “They told me Gabriel was the only one who lived.”

John, who had been quiet all this time, suddenly looked straight at her.

“Gladys,” he said slowly, “do you remember how many children you gave birth to that day?”

Gladys frowned deeply, as if searching through painful memories.

“Yes,” she replied. “I remember clearly. I gave birth tothree babies.”

She swallowed hard.

“But only one survived. I was there. I saw the other two boys dead.”

The roem went completely silent.

“What?” Gabriel whispered.

“Three children?” he repeated in shock.

He turned and locked eyes with Stone immediately.

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” Gabriel asked quietly.

“Yes, sir,” Stone replied. “I am.”

John’s mouth fell open. His hands trembled slightly as the truth began to form in his mind.

“That hospital was not as innocent as I believed,” John said angrily. “I swear, I will bring them down.”

“Desmond is my twin brother’s son,” Gabriel said calmly.”

We just found out.”

Isla’s eyes widened.

“You really have a twin brother?” she asked in disbelief.

Gabriel nodded.”Yes. We just found out about him and every other thing that was there to know. Now we know who has been targeting us.”

Isla didn’t know how to feel. Part of her felt relieved knowing Desmond was not Gabriel’s child. Her heart finally felt ighter.

But another part of her was afraid. There was stilt an enemy out there. A dangerous uncle who wanted them dead.

“Don’t think too much,” Gabriel said softly, reading her thoughts. “Everything will be fine.”

John cleared his throat.

“You should take her home,” he said firmly. “She needs rest.”

“Yes,” Gladys added. “She shouldn’t stress herself.”

Isla frowned.”

“For goodness’ sake,” she said, “I just got here and you’re already sending me away?”

Everyone laughed lightly. For the first time in days, the room felt warm and hopeful.

But Gladys’ expression soon turned serious again.

“I need to find my third son,” she said. “I need to know if he is alive. I need to know if he is okay.”Isla froze.

“You had three sons?” she asked slowly.

She looked at Gladys, then John, then Gabriel.

Suddenly, her eyes widened.

“Wait,” she said suddenly. “Could Cart be your brother?” ”

The room went quiet again.

John frowned.

“Who is Carl?” he asked, looking betweensla and Gabriel.

Gabriel’s heart began to pound.

The truth was getting closer. But he still wasn’t sure if Carl is actually his brother.
