“Crackshell Crab still isn’t ready for sale yet,” Zaylee said. “Eliza told me the farm’s production is still too low to meet market standards, so we’ll have to wait a little longer. But you can try the Cluckoo Eggs from her farm. They’re going on sale next Monday”
“Of course. Elizabeth’s side comes first. We’ll follow her schedule.”
Jacob turned to Zaylee with a smile. “Actually, I came here today because of Elizabeth’s Tycoon Farm. But after tasting these crabs, I don’t think there’s anything left to discuss. The moment I saw the real thing, I already had my answer.”
He paused, then laughed awkwardly. “That said, I’d still like another crab, if it’s fine with you.”
Zaylee smiled and pushed the spicy crab platter closer to him. “Go ahead. There’s plenty”
Jacob didn’t hold back. He picked up another crab claw and cracked open his second spicy crab with practiced ease.
This time he ate faster than before, though he still carried that sharp, disciplined air unique to a career soldier.
Even when eating crab legs, he stayed neat and orderly. Every empty shell was stacked carefully on his plate in straight rows, almost like soldiers lined up for inspection.
The living room slowly relaxed under the warmth and rich smell of the Crackshell Crab.
Jeremy refilled the coffee pot. Outside the window, evening shadows stretched across the grounds of Hewitt Castle, turning the trees into long, gentle silhouettes.
At the table, the sweet scent of steamed crab mixed with the bold spice of the chili crab. Together with the faint sweetness of ginger tea, the smells created layers of flavor that almost nobody in this era ever got to experience anymore–real food, made from real ingredients.
After a few bites of spicy crab, Zaylee stopped eating.
She had always been restrained. No matter how good something was, she never overindulged.
Holding her cup, she leaned back in her chair and quietly watched Trevor and Jacob continue working through the remaining crabs. There was a rare sense of peace in her eyes.
“When will the people from Fifth Military arrive?” she suddenly asked, her tone casual, as if she were talking about the weather.
Jacob kept cracking open a crab leg while answering, “This afternoon. Six people. Full equipment.”
Zaylee gave a small nod and didn’t ask anything else.
“What did Eliza say?” Trevor asked.
“She said she’s not afraid of inspections.” Zaylee looked at him, pride and approval flickering in her eyes. “She said her farm follows every regulation and can stand up to any investigation.”
The corner of Trevor’s mouth curved slightly. It was almost too subtle to notice.
But for someone like him, that tiny expression already counted as clear satisfaction.
“Then let them investigate,” he said.

A medium–sized transport ship marked with the Fifth Military insignia passed through the thin atmosphere of Planet A001 and slowly descended through the clouds above Tycoon Farm.
The roar of the engines grew louder and louder, disturbing the peaceful air above the grasslands.
The Cluckoo Chickens inside the fenced fields all lifted their heads in alarm. They stretched their necks and looked around cautiously for a moment. After confirming there was no immédiate danger, they lowered their heads again and continued pecking at grass seeds and insect eggs on the ground.
The transport ship slowly landed on a flat clearing east of the farm. Its landing gear crushed gravel and dry hay beneath it with a series of sharp crunching sounds.
When the hatch opened, Evander stepped out first.
