“Fifth Military Security Division, Safety Assessment Team. Team Leader Evander.” Evander showed his electronic orders and identity verification. “We received a public safety complaint. Under Section 317 of the Kingdom Bio–Control Act, and by order of the Fifth Military Security Division, we are conducting an on–site inspection of Tycoon Farm’s live animal management and safety compliance. Please cooperate with our investigation.”
His tone was calm and professional. Not too harsh, but not overly polite either.
He had delivered speeches like this many times before. He knew exactly what kind of tone to use in situations like these.
Too soft, and people would think they could push you around. Too aggressive, and they might use your attitude against you later.
He had mastered the balance long ago.
After listening, Elizabeth nodded and stepped aside with a welcoming gesture. “Of course. You’re welcome to inspect the farm. If you need any documents, I’ll bring them over. But before entering the animal areas, everyone will need shoe covers and disinfection. That’s part of our regular farm biosecurity procedures, not something aimed specifically at your team.”
Evander’s eyebrow twitched slightly.
Her cooperation was much smoother than he had expected. And the way she greeted him sounded far too confident.
Either she truly had nothing to hide, or her acting skills were flawless.
He didn’t rush to make a judgment. He simply nodded and signaled for his team to begin.
The inspection team quickly split up according to their assigned tasks.
Gunther, who was responsible for biosecurity testing, entered the Cluckoo Chicken enclosure first, wearing a fully sealed protective
suit.
He used a handheld bio–aerosol sampler to collect air samples inside the enclosure. Then he connected the sampler to a portable analyzer to test for dangerous levels of bacteria and virus particles in the air.
He also placed five contact sampling plates in different areas to collect microorganisms from the ground and fence surfaces
Everything was done with extreme care. Every sampling point was photographed and logged with coordinimes. Every step followed official live animal inspection procedures exactly.
Even though he personally believed these Cluckoo Chickens were probably being kept here temporarily, making most of the process unnecessary, he still handled every step seriously.
Because before departure, his commander had issued a command. “The final result can be debated. But the inspection process itself cannot have a single mistake.”
If there were any flaws in the inspection process, the First Military would rip the entire report to pieces.
Tobias handled the environmental risk assessment.
Carrying a multifunction environmental monitoring scanner, he walked the entire perimeter of the farm.
Then he focused on the farm’s water supply, drainage system, and waste treatment facilities.

He cottected water samples and tested the pH level, dissolved oxygen, ammonia concentration, and total microorganism count. He
also checked the operating condition and capacity of the waste treatment system while recording large amounts of data on his
tablet.
He noticed that the farm’s water recycling system was surprisingly well designed.
Wastewater from the breeding areas went through three levels of settling and biological filtration before being used to irrigate farmland. The crops grown there were then turned into part of the animals‘ feed supply, creating a closed recycling system.
This wasn’t the main focus of his inspection, but privately, he gave it a good rating.
