The First Legendary Beast Master novel Chapter 1997

Chapter 1997: Patience Not Necessary

Patience was also not necessary today. The spectacle of a Legendary Skill Book generation had alerted everyone within five hundred kilometres that there was a treasure here, and the Guild Leaders had felt it from thousands of kilometres away.

Even the Blue Elves at sea had sent an emergency message from the fleet to their home city, telling them to check on the Darklight Host, as they couldn’t get back to the city fast enough with the ships.

That brought even more people, as the other ships that were ashore doing business shared the information for profit, alerting dozens of Clans too far from the Darklight Host to feel the birth of the treasure that there was something Legendary present within the city.

"How long do you think that we have before someone challenges us for the city?" Luminaria asked as the first Clan Leaders teleported into town.

Father Oak laughed. "With me here, and all of you, I doubt that there is an alliance on this planet that could actually win. My bet is that they scout today and then come back to make a challenge on a day when they think that most of the Branch’s defenders are gone.

They all know that we’re a crafting Guild, so they’ll assume that we need the numbers for safety.

If I’m right, the first time that Karl and Rue go on an extended trip together, the Guild will be attacked. Nobody knows the background of the rest of you, and they’ll assume that you’re pushovers."

That made the others laugh. Even a pushover from the Darklight Host’s Divine Battlefield branches was no less dangerous than Rue Gathuzan at the same Rank.

If any alliance dared to attack, they would definitely try to improve on Rue’s 7 out of 10 score from the last alliance battle.

Karl raised a hand in welcome for the Clan Leaders who were afraid to approach the Darklight Host members. "Welcome friends, strangers, Dave. It’s good to see you all here in the Darklight Host’s Blackwoods Guild Branch again. Sorry to interrupt your day, but we’ve had a major development here in the Guild Compound, and I think that you’re all going to like it."

"So, you know what the legendary treasure is?" Lord Almeixei asked.

"Naturally, since we made it.

With a bit of Legendary guidance, I present to you the Darklight Dungeon, the first artificial dungeon instance made by the Darklight Host on this world. It is a true dungeon instance, linked to the System, with rewards for completion, and variable difficulty.

So, you can make it easy for your new acolytes, or absolute Hell for your ambitious Elders.

The rewards will improve with every difficulty rating, and the dungeon is balanced against the group, so feel free to go inside and see what you can find."

Karl’s words froze the Sect Leader in place. "You made a Legendary treasure. As in crafted. And it’s truly Legendary?"

Karl’s smile scared the Sect Leader a little, but not for any reason that he could immediately identify. It should have looked welcoming and happy, but there was something behind it that was just wrong.

"You have evolved," he realized.
