Chapter 372 Venting Her Anger
Chapter 372 Venting Her Anger
:
Buried in Ava’s embrace, Queenie broke down completely.
“Ava… I want out. I want a divorce. I can’t live like this anymore!”

They stayed like that for a long time, holding each other while Queenie cried. At last, Queenie pulled back a little and looked at Ava with swollen eyes.
She looked at Ava and asked in a trembling voice, “Tell me honestly… do you think I can really get free?”
<
Ava nodded with all the force she had. “You can. You absolutely can. Queenie, we’ll gather every bit of help we can find, use every path we can think of, and we will make this happen.
“The Yeager family is rotten inside. Completely rotten. They only know how to dress themselves up and look respectable from the outside. Then we’ll tear that shell off. I refuse to believe evil can really do whatever it wants forever.”
Something about Ava had been wrong lately, and Keith had noticed.
Ryan happened to be free that night too, so he came along.
The two of them stood outside watching her train. Keith lowered his voice and said, “Do you feel it too? Something’s off with her.”
Ryan shot him a sideways look before turning back to Ava. “If you notice something, then say it. I seriously can’t stand people like you, always talking halfway and making everyone else guess.”
Keith looked at him and shook his head. “Good thing you got forced matched. With your personality, you’d stay single forever otherwise.”
Ryan folded his arms and gave a dismissive snort. “You’re one to talk. You’re not exactly better than me.”
After a few seconds of trading jabs, Keith finally got to the point. “She’s been in a bad mood these past few days. Be careful how you act around her. Watch her emotions.”
Ryan’s eyes went back to Ava. “Got it. Now that you mention it, she’s been training harder too. Don’t tell me it’s just because of her period?”

“Not that.” Keith rubbed his chin. “I keep track of that.”
Then he paused. “Forget it. I’ll ask her myself later.”

When the physical training ended, Ava did not go off to shower like usual. Instead, she went back to the punching bag and started hitting it again. It was obvious she was not just exercising -she was venting.
Ryan tipped his chin slightly. “She’s angry.”
Keith looked at him. There was no point pretending otherwise. Ava was not simply in a bad mood. She was in a very bad one.
After she had burned off some of that emotion, Keith walked over with a towel. “Ava, that’s enough for today. Take it slowly. No one turns into a powerhouse overnight.”
Ava took the towel and draped part of it over her face while wiping away her sweat.
Keith followed after her. “Did something happen recently? You’ve been off for days. If there’s really trouble, say it. We’ll think it through with you.”
Ava walked to the side, picked up her water bottle, and took two small sips. After a while, she asked, “You could tell I was in a bad mood?”
Keith answered simply, “Yeah.”
Ava let out a quiet breath. “Then tell me this. Suppose there was a girl who was taken in as a child and raised as a kind of adopted daughter, except nothing was ever legally finalized…”
She spoke slowly.
“Then, after she grows up, because the other side is powerful, she’s forced to give herself to the man. Even though they eventually entered a legal marriage, they still don’t treat her like a
person.
“The husband’s family is extremely powerful. She has nowhere to ask for help. And now she wants a divorce. What do you think she should do? If she can’t get that divorce… then she really has no way left to keep living.”
The second he heard that, Ryan cut in. “Did this happen to one of your friends?”
Ava was silent for a moment, then said, “A few days ago, she almost died.”
“You’ll have to tell me more if you want a real answer,” Keith said carefully. “What I mean is, just how powerful is the husband’s family?”

Ava thought for a bit before answering. “Top level. The head of their family has influence second only to the Clarks.”
Keith’s expression changed slightly. “If that’s the level we’re talking about, then yes, it’s difficult. If she tries to solve it through the ordinary legal process, it’ll probably be very hard. If the husband refuses to let go, then even if she files for divorce, most lawyers won’t dare touch the case.”
