The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 372

Wyatt walked in, and you could practically feel the air shift. Jessa and the others had bumped into him just yesterday at Herbs Life, but seeing him again now left them stunned, mouths practically hanging open.

Wyatt made his way straight to Ella. “Hey, I just stepped outside to take a call. Did something happen? Feels like I missed a lot of drama.”

Ella’s lips curled into a sly smile. “Nope, you didn’t miss a thing. Actually, you’re right on time. Everyone here wanted to finally meet my boyfriend. Which is you.”

She shot him a meaningful glance, and Wyatt caught on right away. He casually slipped his arm around Ella’s shoulders, holding her close. “And who do we have here?”

Ella went down the line, introducing everyone. “This is Jill, Rachel, Jessa, and Maureen.” Then her gaze drifted toward David, whose handsome face had turned noticeably stony the moment Wyatt arrived. It was clear David had never expected that Ella’s boyfriend would be Wyatt of all people.

Ella smiled, not missing a beat. “And this one doesn’t need an introduction. This is Mr. Harmon.”

Wyatt met David’s eyes. “We’ve met before, actually. Mr. Harmon, good to see you.”

David looked Wyatt up and down, his lips pressed into a thin, icy line. “You’re really Ella’s boyfriend?”

Wyatt just pulled Ella a little closer. “Isn’t it obvious?”

Jessa, Maureen, Rachel, and Grandma Jill were still completely thrown. Ella had always claimed she was dating someone super wealthy, but nobody ever believed her. Now, the famous Wyatt was standing here as her boyfriend? It sounded like the setup for a prank. Was today April Fool’s Day or something?

Jessa jumped right in. “Wyatt, how could you be with Ella? Do you even know she’s been married before?”

Wyatt just smiled. “Of course I know.”

“And you still want to be with her?”

Wyatt went on, “Let me put it this way. You all know I have two fellow male apprentices, and a female apprentice, right?”

Jessa nodded. “Yeah, I heard she’s the little darling of your group.”

Wyatt grinned. “That’s right. If you lined up all the guys who want to date her, the line would stretch all the way to Paris. She’s that popular.”

Jessa just stared at him, like he must have lost his mind. How could he compare Ella to the legendary group favorite? There was no way they could be on the same level.

Ella’s smile only grew. “You tried to set me up on a blind date not long ago. Remember? I told you I already had a boyfriend. Now you’ve met him. And by the way, that fancy car I drive and the place I live in? All paid for by my boyfriend. Mr. Harmon has nothing to do with it.”

Grandma Jill suddenly remembered how she’d tried to set Ella up with a schoolteacher back at the Irvine family house. She’d honestly thought Ella wasn’t good enough for him. Now, thinking back on it, she couldn’t help but feel embarrassed, like Ella had just slapped her pride with the truth.
