The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 438

“No. No way!”

Jessa stared at the screen, disbelief twisting her features before she exploded. “Ella, what the hell are you doing with David? You little bitch, you must have thrown yourself at him. David is my boyfriend now. Do you even know what shame is?”

Ella shot back, “Take a good look, Jessa. Your boyfriend is the one all over me.”

“You—” Jessa started to shout again, but the video call cut off.

Inside the Stellaris Apartments, Ella was still pinned under David. She’d wanted to say a few more words to Jessa, but David had already grabbed her phone and ended the call. His eyes burned with a dangerous kind of arousal.

“Are you finished now?” His voice was low.

“Not even close,” Ella snapped. “I had plenty more to say to Jessa. But I’m sure she’s already cooked up a story in her head. Just wait, David. You’ll see.”

David tossed her phone onto the coffee table. “If you’re done, then let’s pick up where we left off.” He leaned in and pressed his mouth to hers.

Ella just stared at him, stunned.

Suddenly, David’s phone buzzed in his pocket. No surprise, it was Jessa calling.

Ella shoved at his chest. “David, that’s Jessa! Let me go, answer her call!”

He didn’t even look at the phone. One hand was already peeling her clothes away, the other fumbling with his own belt. His voice was rough. “Stop talking. Just focus on me.”

Ella felt helpless. Back in the village, when he’d laid his hands on her, he’d been trying to save her. But right now, both of them were wide awake, fully aware. He’d forced his way in, and now he was trying to sleep with her. They were over. She didn’t want this. Not now, not with a baby growing inside her.

She was still in the first trimester. She wasn’t supposed to be having sex, let alone anything this intense.

Ella winced, her brows knitting in pain. “David, I really don’t feel well. Please, just let me go.”

David seemed to finally notice something was off. He studied her, his eyes a little softer. “Where does it hurt? Is it your stomach?”

He placed a big, warm hand over her lower belly, gently rubbing in slow circles. His touch was unexpectedly gentle, the heat of his palm seeping into her skin, making it almost impossible to resist him when he decided to show a little tenderness.

Ella pushed his hand away. “What are you doing?”

David only pulled her onto his lap. “If you’re not in the mood for this, we can just go back to what we were doing before.”

Ella just stared at him, completely at a loss. It seemed like she had no choice but to give in to his threat. David held her close as he leaned back on the sofa, his hand still lingering on her stomach.
