The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 547

Rachel could tell things were about to go south, so she quickly tugged on Peter’s sleeve.

Peter stepped forward, keeping his voice low. “Mr. Wade, Jessa’s been away from you for years. Whatever needs to be said can wait until we’re home.”

Moss' tense expression finally eased. He glanced down at Jessa. “Let’s go home.”

Jessa’s face lit up. “Okay.”

With that, Moss led her away.

Ella tried to step in. “You’re not going anywhere...”

But David reached out and grabbed her arm, shaking his head.

Wyatt stepped up, his voice gentle but serious. “Ella, I know you’re angry and frustrated, but Jessa’s Moss Wade’s daughter now. You can’t just do whatever you want.”

Fiona and Lilly hurried over, both fuming. “Ugh, Jessa slipped away again!”

Up ahead, Jessa walked toward a sleek, black stretch limo. The butler hurried over, bowing politely as he opened the back door. “Miss, your car is ready.”

The bodyguards standing in the drizzle all bowed in unison. “Miss, please get in.”

Jessa had that unmistakable heiress energy. It was impossible not to notice.

She flashed a red-lipped smile, looked back at Ella, and raised her eyebrow, her expression pure mockery.

She was taunting Ella. Daring her.

It was like she was saying, “Look at all you did. Still couldn’t touch me.”

Ella’s gaze turned cold, her eyes like frosted glass. She tried to lunge forward.

David’s grip on her arm tightened. “Ella.”

She was frozen, unable to move.

Jessa slid into the car. Grandma Jill and the rest followed, and the limo rolled away.

David’s expression changed in an instant. “Ella!”

He caught her before she hit the ground, cradling her in his arms.

Wyatt, Lilly, and Fiona rushed over, panic in their voices. “Ella! Ella, are you okay?”

David didn’t hesitate. He scooped her up. “We’re going back. Now.”

When Ella finally opened her eyes, she was back in her apartment, lying in her own soft bed.

“Ella, you’re awake.”

She turned her head and saw David, sitting right beside her, worry written all over his face.

He held her cold, delicate hand tight in his own, his eyes shining with concern. “Ella, please don’t pass out like that again. You really scared me.”
