The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 579

Sarah’s heart fluttered as she gazed at Lucas. He was every bit the dream—handsome and charming, born into the elite Matthis family. He’s got money, looks, and that reckless, wild streak. He was the kind of guy other girls could only fantasize about. Being with him made her feel electric, her whole body coming alive.

Lucas sat quietly, not saying a word.

Without another thought, Sarah unbuckled her seatbelt, climbed right over from the passenger side, and slid onto his lap.

She flashed a teasing grin. “Lucas, you’re awfully quiet. What, do you want to do it right here in the car?”

She cupped his face, pulling him into a kiss.

It had been a week since Lucas last spent the night with her. He was young and full of energy, and it didn’t take much to get him going.

He wrapped his arms around her waist, deepening the kiss.

Sarah let her hand trail down his chest, slowly moving lower…

Suddenly, Lucas caught her hand and stopped her.

The mood shattered in an instant. Sarah stared at him. “Lucas, what’s wrong?”

He looked annoyed, his brows furrowed. “Not tonight. I’m just not feeling it.”

Sarah’s face fell. He was obviously turned on, but he didn’t want her. Was it because of Lilly? Ever since Lilly had shown up, Lucas just hadn’t been himself.

She slipped one strap off her shoulder, showing off her curves. Her voice dropped to a seductive whisper. “Lucas, look at me. I want you.”

But Lucas wasn’t interested. When they first started, he’d been crazy about her. The flirting, the chase was all so exciting.

Now that they were together, it felt kind of empty. Other than the rush in bed, there wasn’t much there. He was bored, and he knew it.

These days, all he could think about was Lilly. Even now, with Sarah sitting on his lap, trying to turn him on, all he could see was Lilly’s delicate face in his mind.

He reached over and gently pulled Sarah’s strap back up. “Enough. I’m not in the mood. Get off.”

Lucas frowned. He missed the way she used to smile at him. “Lilly, is that how you talk to me now?”

She didn’t hesitate. “I don’t want to talk to you, Lucas. Please move. I’m going home.”

Lilly tried to walk past him.

Lucas grabbed her wrist, holding her back. “Lilly, don’t go. I need to talk to you.”

She stopped, yanking at his grip. “Let go. Don’t touch me.”

He scoffed. “What, am I some sort of plague? Why can’t I touch you?”

Lilly looked up and noticed the red mark on his neck—a hickey from Sarah.

Her eyes narrowed, voice full of contempt. “Lucas, you’re disgusting.”
