Ella slipped out of sight in no time.
Moss turned to Joanna. “So, what now?”
Joanna didn’t even blink. “I’ll find you a woman.”
Moss shot to his feet. “Joanna, we’re still married. You’re seriously offering to find another woman for your own husband?”
She met his gaze, her voice flat. “You must be thrilled, huh?”
Moss clenched his jaw, at a loss for words for a moment. He finally managed, “Fine. Go ahead. Do it.”
Joanna raised an eyebrow. “What’s your type?”
He didn’t hesitate. “Someone like you.”
She leaned in, curious. “And what exactly am I like?”
He smirked. “Do you really need me to spell it out? Someone bold, passionate, always climbing on top of me, always wanting more.”
Joanna rolled her eyes. “Alright. I’ll call for the most expensive one they’ve got.”
“Thanks a lot,” Moss said, sarcasm dripping from every word.
Joanna pulled out her phone, dialed, and spoke coolly. “Send a woman over. Right away.”
She hung up and glanced at Moss. “She’ll be here soon. Five minutes tops.”
Moss shrugged. “Then you can leave.”
Joanna stared at him, caught off guard. “Why should I leave?”
He leaned back, arms crossed. “Because I’m going to be in this room, on your bed. You don’t mind, right?”
Was he even serious?
Joanna grabbed a pillow and flung it at him. “Are you out of your mind? This is my room, my bed. Why would I let you and another woman use it?”
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door, followed by a sweet, unfamiliar voice. “Ms. Johnson, I’m here.”
The woman Joanna had called had arrived.
Joanna, still disheveled, shouted, “Just a second!”
She pushed Moss away, breathless. “She’s here. Let me go.”
Moss’s eyes were dark, burning as he stared at her. “Joanna, do you really want me to sleep with someone else?”
She hesitated. “I…”
He looked at her, voice low. “Think hard before you answer. This is the last time I’ll ask. If you really want this, I’ll walk out with her right now.”
Joanna stared at his handsome face for a few silent seconds before replying, “Then go.”
The warmth in Moss vanished. He pushed her aside, stood up, and walked out of the room without looking back.
